SERVING OTHERS, KNOWING GOD

Notre Dame Prep has a dynamic and robust Christian Service Learning program designed to foster in our students a heart for helping others. It is a vehicle for students to grow in holiness by knowing, loving and serving God, through helping others.

Students at NDP grasp an understanding of who God is through a number of opportunities. Mass, reconciliation, adoration and retreats, in addition to our Theology courses, are a few examples of the occasions we offer where students can encounter our living and loving God through Jesus Christ.

Through Christian outreach, our students gain an u nderstanding of who God is and what He wants for each of us, which is to have a peaceful and meaningful life. We encourage service as a means for discovering that it is through giving that we receive.

Our freshmen begin serving through the Freshman Plunge where they spend a day feeding the homeless and marginalized. They do this alongside members of their House, both adults and students.

Many of our students travel abroad to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru and Tanzania to work with orphans, build and paint homes for poor families, plant gardens and play and eat with the people there, always showing kindness and friendship.

Month by month and House by House, our students, faculty and staff raise money for various organizations that support the poor, sick, marginalized and people in crisis through our monthly allschool collection drives and $5 Jeans Days.

It is through these encounters that we see the largest transformation in the maturity and compassion of our students: the true value of a Catholic college preparatory education.
