The NDA members who are 2025 newly inducted Fellows of the American College of Dentists and their sponsors are proud that ACD Fellow and NDA President-Elect Wallace Bellamy is the incoming 2026 National Dental Association President.

Years ago, Dr. Bellamy’s ACD Fellowship nominator “paid it forward.”

Over the years, Fellow Bellamy has successfully nominated worthy NDA members for the honor of ACD Fellowship. We have every confidence that in his role as the 102nd NDA President, he will again identify and nominate NDA members who are advancing leadership, excellence, ethics and professionalism in our beloved dental profession.

We applaud his exceptional contributions to date and look forward to his upcoming leadership as the NDA Architect for Change.

“Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

BOARD OF TRUSTEES CHAIRMAN

Dear Members, Guests, Family, Friends, Sponsors, and Esteemed Partners,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the National Dental Association, it is my great pleasure to welcome each of you to this historic occasion — the Installation Gala celebrating the 102nd President of the National Dental Association, Dr. Wallace Bellamy.

R.Salter

Tonight, we gather as one community — united by purpose, strengthened by legacy, and inspired by the promise of what lies ahead. We come together not only to honor a new leader whom I admire tremendously, but we also celebrate the values that define our Association: service, mentorship, advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to advancing oral health equity.

Dr. Bellamy embodies those very principles. Throughout his years of service — from his time as NDA Trustee for District VI, to his leadership in the California Dental Association and as a past president of the Sacramento’s local society of NDA — he consistently demonstrates a gift for bringing people together, nurturing new leaders, and ensuring that every voice has a place at the table. His thoughtful leadership style, grounded in collaboration and guided by vision, reminds us that progress is achieved not by one person alone, but through shared effort and collective purpose. It is for these reasons that I am personally excited to see where his leadership will take the National Dental Association.

As Dr. Bellamy steps into this distinguished role, we are confident he will lead with wisdom, compassion, and courage — building on our storied past while embracing new opportunities that will move our organization, and our profession, boldly forward. Let tonight be a celebration of renewal — of leadership that listens, partnerships that empower, and a community that continues to rise together. May we all leave here inspired to do our part in shaping the bright future of the lives that we aim to reach.

With pride and heartfelt congratulations,

National

LETTER FROM THE 101st PRESIDENT

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my distinct honor and heartfelt privilege to extend greetings on behalf of the National Dental Association as we celebrate this historic occasion - the installation of our 102nd President, Wallace Bellamy, DMD, FACD, FICD, FPFA, and the induction of the 2026 Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, and Foundation officers.

This Inaugural and Scholarship Gala marks a moment of renewal and purpose for our beloved Association. As we pass the torch of leadership, we not only honor the extraordinary legacy of those who came before us but also embrace a future guided by Dr. Bellamy’s inspiring theme:

C.Baptiste

“NDA: Architects of Change — Honoring Our Legacy, Rebuilding with Purpose, Leading with Power.”

Dr. Bellamy’s vision calls upon each of us to be intentional builders - to design systems that elevate our profession, empower our members, and expand access to oral health in every community we serve. His theme reminds us that the NDA has always been more than an organization; it is a movement rooted in service, justice, and the collective strength of our members.

As I conclude my term as President, I do so with immense gratitude for the privilege of serving alongside such dedicated professionals and passionate advocates. Together, we have fortified our foundation, advanced key initiatives, and elevated the voice of the NDA on national and global platforms. The work continues - and it is in strong, capable hands.

Please join me in celebrating Dr. Bellamy and our newly installed officers as they usher in a new era of leadership. May their service continue to build bridges, inspire innovation, and empower every member to lead with power and purpose.

HISTORY & MISSSION

ABOUT THE NDA

Established in 1913, the NDA is the world’s first and largest organization of ethnic minority oral health professionals. The NDA, a 501(c) 3 entity with 36 local chapters in the U.S., is the umbrella organization for the Student National Dental Association, the National Dental Assistants’ Association, the National Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Undergraduate SNDA and the Auxiliary to the NDA (spouses). The NDA Foundation is the education, research and scholarship arm of the organization.

NDA members constitute a massive network of providers and volunteers across America who have been the backbone of programs that strive to reach millions of underserved children and their families who do not have access to health care. The organization is dedicated to supporting its members to remain in communities where they are needed most; and to increasing access to health care.

MISSION STATEMENT

The National Dental Association promotes oral health equity among people of color by harnessing the collective power of its members, advocating for the needs of and mentoring dental students of color, and raising the profile of the profession in our communities.
