When we think our students are ready, we can even ask them: “How do you want to contribute to your school and your wider community?” Through looking at issues beyond oneself, we hope to build character in every Brooksian so that they will be able to contribute to society in the future. Students can also find role models within our school community, like highly experienced teachers Mdm Zuraidah and Mrs Indra, who have made a positive impact on the school culture. This is what we can do and should do for our younger generation. Let us work together to make this a reality. Thank you.

In the early years at Northbrooks, both teachers played multiple roles – disciplinarian, counsellor, subject teacher and form teacher. Those were challenging days, but they feel

that over the years, there has been a remarkable improvement in our students’ behaviour and achievements. Continued on Page 4.
