Enjoy your afternoon with this program specially-de signed for the young explorer in your family! During each session, an MMA educator will read a nature or science related book, introduce you to one of the MMA’s animal friends, and we will finish up by making a craft or playing games related to the story. For the safety of our animals, we will not allow anyone to touch them. This is a reoccurring program, but the specific focus and materials provided will change each week. This program is appropriate for children ages 3 and up.

Join us for the second annual Dreamland Stroll Party on the second floor of The Dreamland Friday, Decem ber 2nd from 7:00-10:00 PM. A cast of 24 brings this magical holiday musical to life on our stage. Scrooge is based on Charles Dickens’ classic. A Christmas Carol, Scrooge tells the tale of old miser Ebeneezer on the night he’s visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come. The story, adapted by Leslie Bricusses was first used for the 1970 film musical Scrooge. The stage adaptation opened in London in 1992. The whale oil trade has made Ebenezer Scrooge a wealthy man, but islanders know him better for his hard heart and miserly ways. The apparition of his partner, Jacob Marley, and the three spirits of Christmas visit to remind him that “mankind is his business.” This clever weaving of the beloved tale with Nantucket history creates a wholly original experience for the whole family. Join the MMA’s Field Ornithologist, Ginger Andrews, for a an educational birding field trip. You will learn about bird families, habitats, how to use field guides, common local bird species, tips for seeing birds, and how to adjust your binoculars for best vision. We will include both field and indoor study, using the collec tions in the Research Center on cold or rainy days. Field trips will explore various habitats around town and beyond, depending on availability of participants’ transportation.

RAVENOUS REPTILES
Learn about the unique adaptations of turtles, frogs, snakes, and more at the MMA Natural Science Muse um! You will get to get to touch or hold several of the MMA Natural Science Museum display animals. If you love animals, this a great way to learn about native and non-native species up-close. Pre-registration recommended. At least one adult must sign up with children. This program is designed to be interesting for adults and children ages 4 and up.

10AM HISTORIC MANSIONS OF MAIN STREET AND THE 1746 WINDMILL
A 1 and 3/4 mile, 45 to 50 minute morning exercise walk — with historic commentary — up Main Street, past the whaling era mansions, out to America's oldest windmill, and back into town. Led by the threetime runner-up in the Nantucket History Quiz Bowl. Please arrive by 9:50 AM. Tour starts at the corner of Federal and India Street, outside the Nantucket Atheneum fence. FALL STORY HOUR
Enjoy your afternoon with this program specially-de signed for the young explorer in your family! During each session, an MMA educator will read a nature or science related book, introduce you to one of the MMA’s animal friends, and we will finish up by making a craft or playing games related to the story. For the safety of our animals, we will not allow anyone to touch them. This is a reoccurring program, but the specific focus and materials provided will change each week. This program is appropriate for children ages 3 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must register.

HISTORIC WALKING TOUR OF DOWNTOWN NANTUCKET
Hear the story of "the greatest small town in Amer ican history" on this 1/2 mile, 80 to 90 minute stroll through the historic downtown district, Led by the three-time runner-up in the Nantucket History Quiz Bowl.

Celebrate the season with Susan & Ray! Local husband and wife duo Susan J. Berman and Ray K. Saunders bring their signature sound to holiday music for a concert including traditional, modern and orig inal songs. Susan & Ray take the stage with guitars, vocals and a palpable chemistry that crafts their unique sound. As partners in music and in life they play an eclectic mix of musical styles from Broadway to bluegrass along with originals. They draw from an extensive playlist and years of performing together to bring audiences a diverse and unique musical experi ence. Susan & Ray split their time performing both in Nantucket, MA, Southern Maryland and any place in between they can find a gig! SCROOGE, THE MAGICAL HOLIDAY MUSICAL
A cast of 24 brings this magical holiday musical to life on our stage. Scrooge is based on Charles Dickens’ classic. A Christmas Carol, Scrooge tells the tale of old miser Ebeneezer on the night he’s visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come. The story, adapted by Leslie Bricusses was first used for the 1970 film musical Scrooge. The stage adaptation opened in London in 1992. This lively, fast paced retelling of the classic tale of family, friendship and second chances is a holiday experience you won't want to miss! Featuring Gabe Beyleu as Scrooge. Audiences will remember Gabe from his role as Miss. Trunchbull in TWN's 2019 production of Matilda.
