Reports of Officers:

4th VP – April Patrick: I have good news for the Berkeley Post Office with both Sharon Davis and Katrina now gone. One went to El Cerrito, and the other to Pittsburg. A lot of carriers are not submitting 3996’s or calling back to office as required. Please turn in your 3996 and/or call back at the appropriate time and ask management what they would like you to do. Happy holidays to everyone.

3rd VP – Eddie Murphy: I now have the Berkeley Postmaster in my El Cerrito Post office as a supervisor and carriers are working in the dark once again so be safe. In Pleasanton, a carrier hit a teenager with management issuing discipline, yet they never went out to the scene to do a proper investigation. Thankfully, the person that got hit is now out of the hospital. I advise everyone to use their scanner to communicate with management when necessary. If there is no response drive back to the office and get instructions. 3996’s must be used. Everyone be careful and Happy Holidays .

2nd VP – Terrence Super: When I started with the Postal Service as a TE in 2007, I was making $21.19 an hour and now in the new tentative agreement they want to start CCA’s at $20.00 what kind of mess is that. I filed a grievance because management is not allowing carriers to case spr’s. We filed another grievance, and we got a cease and desist on that one. They are disciplining carriers for going over one click in my San Ramon office. Please make sure you fill out 3996 when needed. The vacation sign-ups in Suisun took only 1-day great job to Eileen Brown. Joseph Perry gave me a compliment saying if it were not for the union, he probably would not have a job.

1st VP – Mary Abante: Excused EVP – Narciso Paderanga: Excused

President - Ed Fletcher: The December steward’s class will be on Thursday, December 5, @ 7:00 PM. It will be open forum will the new tentative agreement open for questions and answers. As of this date, National has not announced when ballots will come out. The proposed agreement is shameful and does not reward carriers for their hard work. Vote “No” on the proposed tentative agreement. On Sunday November 24, 2024 @ 1:00 PM and right in the middle of the 49ers game, the Concerned Letter Carriers coalition held a Zoom meeting on the tentative agreement. There were about 550 individuals across the country who attended. The message was unified. Vote down this inadequate agreement and make the parties renegotiate and/or go to arbitration. Although there were many speakers, VP James Henry brought it home. CLC is also going to post the questions and answers on their website. I want to personally thank all our members, shop stewards and Full-time Officers for all the hard work that you do keeping Branch # 1111 Strong! Happy Holidays! See you at the January 2025 Branch Meeting.
