I didn’t want to go back into the closet when I started my next job, and myGwork showed me companies where that wasn’t going to be an issue. Now I know I can turn up to the office and be authentically me without worrying about whether it will damage my career or my work.
The post-pandemic job market for graduates concerned me as I finished my undergraduate, and I worried that opportunities for young people were drying up. Thanks to myGwork I’m able to browse through hundreds of entry-level positions in my city and have already submitted several applications for positions that match my studies.
The virtual jobs fair helped me to find my next career move and enabled me to talk directly to recruiters in a way that helped me to sell my skills. With an international outreach, I was able to find a job with a language that’s native to me.
What drew me to this platform was the social aspect - whether it's connecting with people at WorkPride, attending panels and workshops every month, or reading interviews about people’s lives and work; myGwork has connected me with LGBTQ+ people, and professionally-liked-minded ones at that.
I’ve recommended this platform to all of my friends!

I am a law graduate in the UK, and myGwork helped me to learn more about the firms I was applying for and their commitments to diversity and inclusion; I want to make sure that every office I work in is inclusive of me and my identity. With this platform I have not only been reassured that I can be myself when I start my training contract but also that the company I am working for genuinely cares about their commitments to social responsibility.
