It pleases me to report that we are off to a terrific start to the year here at Regatta Bay. In the first quarter we added 16 new members to the club, many of which came to us through our Membership Drive referral program. Many of these fresh faces have been active in club events and programming thus far and are all wonderful additions to our fantastic membership. Thank you to the LGA and MGA for welcoming these new members into your daily golf activities.

Throughout the winter we executed a business plan to alleviate winter traffic and stress on the course by reducing rounds while limiting the fiscal impact to the operation. This led to better winter course conditions and tee time availability, and I hope an improved member experience during this time.

Spring is now upon us, and we are transitioning nicely in our course conditions heading into the summer growing season We have begun our process of early Monday afternoon course closures to assist our outstanding Agronomy team dial in the health and consistency of our course conditions

Moreover, we just completed hosting our Ladies Spring invitational event which hosted 72 ladies from across our region and beyond for two days of golf and social events. It was a tremendous success and thank you to our event chairs, Loretta Maurer, Barb McHugh, Dianne Carpenter and all our lady members who supported this wonderful event.

You will see in the following quarterly newsletter some highlights from other first quarter events and fun and exciting member programming around the corner this spring and summer. It is an exciting time to be a member at Regatta Bay, and our team is eager to share these experiences with you!

COURSE UPDATES FROM SUPERINTENDENT

DEAR REGATTA BAY MEMBERS,

Spring has sprung; therefore, things are getting busier in the Turfcare department, more than they already were! Numerous applications and services are being performed to aid in the courses spring transition from dormancy into the growing season. These are made on a yearly basis for healthier turf and better playability over the months to follow! Many if not all winter projects will soon be wrapped up and the spring and summer projects will commence.

Play has definitely been on the increase over the past few weeks. We ask that you please continue to do your part and obey cart traffic rules, fix ball marks and fill divots to help keep Regatta Bay the premier spot to be.

Your Regatta Bay Turfcare team continues to strive for success and the continued improvement and enjoyment of our members and customers.

Herb has recently relocated from Southern California and is excited to join the Regatta Bay Team as the Golf Fitness Trainer. He is a Certified Personal Trainer who has worked in fitness and golf clubs throughout his career with some of the industry's top companies, such as Pacific Athletic Club, Egoscue (Postural Alignment Therapy), Equinox, Insand, and Tijeras Creek Golf Club launching his own personal training business, Inside Out Golf Fitness. Herb is TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) and NASM certified.
