BOARD OF DIRECTORS • As chairperson of the Musson Foundation, Melanie Subratie is the visionary behind the Foundation’s cutting edge approach to introducing technology into all learning opportunities, particularly in communities where technology is not readily accessible or available. This important work has resulted in thousands of students and teachers being introduced to and trained in the application of coding and robotics. Melanie is also the Chairperson of RISE Life Management Services, the Seprod Foundation, and the Founder and Chairperson of Jamaican Girls Coding. Melanie is a keen Angel investor, sits on the Boards of LoanCirrus, Bookfusion, and is a board member of First Angels, a venture capital investment group. She sits on the boards of the Union Garden Foundation, Bustamante Hospital for Children and the National Museum of Jamaica. Through the Freedom Skate Park Foundation, Melanie is currently working to set up Jamaica’s first large scale Skate Park.

CHAIRPERSON

Melanie began her career in the United Kingdom in the Financial Services division of Deloitte and Touche and is a graduate of the London School of Economics holding a B.Sc. Mrs. Susan Scott is a trustee, director and longstanding member of the Woman’s Club, and was also the Chairperson of the Woman’s Club Home for the Elderly in Jamaica. The Woman’s Club provides a safe environment, and selfless service for elderly people, and further engages in many charitable causes, including Christmas treats, and other initiatives geared at improving healthcare delivery in Jamaica. She has published a cookbook in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice in the UK, served as the Chairperson of the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children, and served as the Chairperson and Training Officer of Boards of Visitors to HMP Camphill, within the Isle of Wight Branch in the UK. Mrs. Scott has been dedicated to many other charitable initiatives throughout her career, and is currently focused on ensuring that Jamaica’s elderly are enjoying life.

Dianne Hanson joined Musson Group in 1986, initially as personal assistant to then Chairman and Managing Director, Desmond Blades. Realising her management potential, Mr. Blades appointed her Administrative Manager of the Duke Street Head Office in June 1987. By 1994, she was appointed to the Board of Musson Jamaica, and over the years, she has been appointed to nearly all the subsidiary boards including Productive Business Solutions Ltd. and T. Geddes Grant Distributors Ltd. Dianne was instrumental in the seamless transition of T. Geddes Grant Distributors Ltd. into the Musson Group - she has been the Director in charge of administration at T. Geddes Grant Distributors for the past 15 years.

Mr. Geoffrey Messado is the company secretary of Musson Jamaica Limited and its subsidiaries including T. Geddes Grant Distributors Ltd. Mr Messado has been a Director of Seprod since 2001. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is a Director of General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited, Ciboney Group Limited, Edgechem (Jamaica) Limited, Coffee Industry Board, Clarendon Distillers Limited, Spirits Pool Association and Caribbean Molasses Company (Jamaica) Limited. He is also the Chairman of Mapco Printers Limited and a Past President of the Jamaica Exporters Association.

CHANA HAY DIRECTOR

Ms. Chana Hay rejoined the Facey Commodity Team in May 2015 as General Manager- Merchandise Division. She holds over 20 years’ experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry (FMCG) and has a wealth of knowledge and skills in this industry. Prior to joining the team at Facey Commodity, Ms. Hay held various positions at Lascelles Ltd., which represented dominant local and global multinational business partners (Unilever, Kimberly Clark, and Brunswick). These positions included Brand Manager, National Sales Manager, Divisional Manager and Commercial Manager. Her last position prior to joining Facey Commodity was that of Commercial Director of J. Wray & Nephew Ltd. – A Gruppo Campari Company. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Management (Distinction) – with a minor in Marketing, from the Mona School of Business in addition to a BSc Management Studies, with a minor in Economics. Her mantra is “Excellence is the gradual result of always trying to do better” Pat Riley.
