COLLABORATION ACROSS THE PHILANTHROPIC SECTOR IN JAMAICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

The Musson Foundation is in full support of the Mapping of the Cultural and Creative Industries in Jamaica. This initiative is being conceptualized and planned by the Jamaican Business Development Corporation with the support of the British Council. The mapping will glean empirical data on the Cultural and Creative Industries in Jamaica providing a pathway to an accurate valuation of the industry’s contribution to the Jamaican economy – this will enable development strategies to be designed and implemented, and foster increased investment in the sector.
The Musson Foundation is committed to establishing partnerships with various corporate leaders, foundations, individual philanthropists, and other philanthropic entities to better address the developmental challenges of the Caribbean region and to foster sustainable development. The long term goal is for these collaborative efforts to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Jamaica and in the Caribbean by 2030
