The Musson Foundation believes that in education is key to empowering individuals, and uplifting communities. The Musson Foundation is particularly interested in introducing technology into learning opportunities at all levels and therefore invests heavily in the ICT field. Jamaican children must be equipped with the tools to compete in the modern world. The Musson Foundation has also recognized the gender gap in the ICT field and seeks to remedy this thorugh promoting inspiring IT programmes for girls, starting at the primary level. The Musson Foundation also invests in educational scholarships, teacher training workshops, school infrastructure and vocational training. “Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is key to escaping poverty. Education helps reduce inequalities and reach gender equality… Adequate infrastructure and teacher training play a critical role in the quality of education” – The United Nations
