First-ever Superintendent

Crandall ISD recognized the first-ever winner of its new “Superintendent

Award

Award,” Crandall High School life skills aide, Stephanie Bass. The award is designed to honor CISD’s support-staff workers who go above and beyond the call of duty as they perform their job responsibilities. Bass was selected from 19 nominations because of her willingness to go the extra mile for her students– all while creating a positive learning environment. Her coworkers said, “She is definitely a huge part of why our students are successful in everything they do each day! She is our rock!” The educational support staff is involved in ways that support everybody in the school. A recent study showed almost 3 million school support staff working in our nation’s public schools—that’s almost 35 percent of a campus’s workforce. Nominations were requested for the first-ever Superintendent Award winner and names were submitted from campuses and departments throughout CISD. There were 19 nominations and each nominee was beyond impressive. Peers and coworkers had this to say about CISD’s first-ever winner. I am so impressed with the dedication and commitment our support staff provides to our schools, families, and students”, said CISD Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge. “Their roles are imperative to the well-being of students and we are excited to recognize their commitment and hard work to CISD.”

Kudos Corner is a program designed to collect stories, commendations and pictures from parents, teachers, students and community members that highlight all of the wonderful things going on within Crandall ISD and its communities. 10
