Isabelonians hogs medals at MIPIBIEX 2023

Teachers and students from Isabelo delos Reyes Elementary School (IRES) shared the spotlight among other Manileños at the “Manila Intellectual Property, Innovation And Business Incubation Expo” (MIPIBIEX) 2023 as they share their innovations, inventions, and original compositions at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) on April 21, 2023.

This event was initiated by Mr. Sonny Villanueva, principal of T. Paez Elementary School, which was a celebration the National Innovation Act as stipulated in RA 11293 or the “Philippine Innovation Act” where the creatives of different categories come together to showcase their works.

Learners from V – Diamond,

Jewel Matilda de Guzman, Nigel Abulencia, Jemima Cassey Alvaredo, Chrisielly Briana Buluran, and Angela Tan, under the supervision of Jordan Macapagal, were among the winners; their inclusive and innovative on a footbridge connecting Manila’s green spaces won silver.

Meanwhile, Isabelonian teachers Kenneth Jhon Loria, Niño Antonio dela Cruz, and Arnel Macababbad, bagged medals for their artistic works whereas Deobell Macababbad, Jackilyn Dabu, and Mary June Gerona nabbed awards for literary works, all falling under copyright categories.

Manila city was the pioneer for such an event, however the goal of it is towards national implementation.
