Isabelo Delos Reyes Elementary School (IRES) is currently ongoing renovation Part of the renovation and Facilities improvement is the Morga building which was currently being demolished Due to this, students and teachers whose rooms are in the Morga building are the one affected since they don't have permanent classrooms yet So, the plan of the school principal and council is to allow them to use the quadrangle where they installed temporary rooms for the affected students and teachers so they can still have their classes until construction of Morga building is not yet finished Meanwhile, Chacon
Road where one of the gates to the school lies, is also under repair and construction which seems to be hazardous because pupils and educators use the gate.
This current situation inside and outside the school affects the teachers as well as the students. It affects them like they already lack time during their lessons because they have no permanent rooms resulting in a shortened period of time per subject.
The ongoing road construction outside the school affects teachers, students, as well as the parents and guardians who send and fetch them at school.
Noise pollution caused by the machine trucks used to repair the road is so disturbing and distracting to the class while the teacher is having their lesson inside the school. Heavy road dust can soot the eyes of everyone anytime the wind blew. It can also trigger the condition of those who have asthma. Inconvenient roads and rough cement with stones can cause accidents to all especially to the students while passing by and other accidents it may cause.
School renovation and improvement are all for the benefit of the students and teachers. After the renovations, the facilities will show improvement where the students can feel that they are safe while inside the school premises because of the good ambiance and safe spaces that came along with the renewal. A good and safe environment helps boost academic performance, increase students' ability to focus and concentrate on their studies.

Are you in favor of bringing back the start of school year to June?
Yes, I'm in favor of bringing back the start of school year to June, because, so many factors affects education. Climate, sickness, because of the very hot weather, and others. Bringing back to June in a right process is much better.

Yes, I am in favor of bringing back to start of the school year to June because classes will end before the summer starts and we all know that during summer in our country, that heat will be the punishment to us. It is very difficult to focus and learn when the environment and weather is not conducive. -
Mitzhiko Jazz C. Tribiana,V-Ametrine
I agree that we should return to the old practice of starting school by the month of June because our school year now coincides with the summer month where we experience extreme heat therefore many students feel sick. -

Are Helpful Social Media Websites Actually Helpful?
Students often use helpful social media websites whenever they do their assignments or activities, but are they actually helpful?
In online classes and even face to face classes students use helpful websites like Google, Brainly, YouTube, and many more. It helps to improve student's performance by allowing them to gather data online in order for them to do their assignments.
Through the use of internet, students can get information easily with quick access to research, and they can communicate with their teachers, friends, and classmates.
However, there are also negative effects of social media like it is distracting to them. An example would be instead of doing assignments, they would check their feed.
It can also be disrupting their sleep. Perhaps whenever it’s their bed time, they wouldn’t sleep yet but would often wait for their parents to fall asleep then they will slyly open their social media.
In some other cases, social media may often lead to increased risk for depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts because of being exposed to bullying.
I think students should lessen their use of social media and should only use them whenever they have activities and assignments cause it can distract them from learning, might experience bullying, therefore affecting their mental and physical health.
Is social media helpful to a student like you?

Stealing Intelligence
The rise of using chat AI by a lot of students is alarming, should the teacher catch them using it, they might receive a low grade, or worse a failing grade.
Chat AI was originally designed to aid those in need of it however, we should not take advantage of it. We will not learn anything if we do not study and merely rely on AI to do the work for us.
Personally, I believe that students who use Chat AI are lazy. Instead of banking on this “modern-day magic”, let us do our best to study and learn the information we need then rephrase it. It is much better that way because it doesn’t seem like we’re stealing it.

Senior High No More?
Former president now Senior Deputy Speaker and Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal – Arroyo, aimed at making grades 11 and 12 mandatory only among those who wishes to pursue higher learning.
This is a big help especially for those who are not financially stable because not only it will lessen the work, but it will also lessen the bills.
Furthermore, not all students want to pursue higher education so it good that if they would have the option to tap out from senior high school.
Gloria Arroyo also wants to return the basic education which is nice especially because many students are struggling when it comes to studying. In some cases, studying too much can cause stress and depression.
Arroyo also described two years in senior high school as an “additional burden” to the students.
