MOTORSPORTDAYS REMAINS LIVE THIS NOVEMBER A MESSAGE FROM BEN WHIBLEY - MSD LIVE SHOW FOUNDER & DIRECTOR With the vast majority of the motorsport industry getting back into gear and competitive calendars being released, we are all eagerly waiting for the lights to go from red to green!

With Motorsport UK competition racing restarting in July and track and test days commencing as early as the beginning of June (if not before) we should start to see our UK circuits alive with track activity in just a matter of weeks.

A PROVEN FORMULA MotorsportDays LIVE 2018 & 2019 exceeded all expectations, and we aim to continue our ethos – that time on track is the lifeblood of the sport and should be central to any motorsport event. All but 2 F1 pitlane garages have been secured by teams, championships, clubs and manufacturers for this year’s event held, as always at the Silverstone Wing and International Circuit. Whether a driver, sponsor, supplier or team is looking for a new championship, wanting to upgrade from track days, karting and even corporate events, MotorsportDays LIVE 2020 has the answer.

Now a proven formula - the show’s unique on-track “try before you buy” experience, not only increases driver sign-up and enhanced grids YoY for manufactures, clubs and independent race teams but elevates exhibitors sales and business opportunities at a crucial planning and buying point in the racing calendar.

The importance of this blend of racer and exhibitor was confirmed by Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK, he said: “I think MotorsportDays LIVE is absolutely brilliant because it shows an innovative approach. If there is one thing we need to do with motorsport in this country is think outside the box. If we keep doing the same old thing then we won’t get anywhere!”

RE-LAUNCH, RE-CONNECT AND NETWORK AT SILVERSTONE MsD LIVE is not until 20-21 November (more than 6 months away) which means we are focused on bringing the industry back together and continuing our platform to re-launch, re-connect and network at Silverstone Circuit.

However, the world of mass gatherings has changed around the globe. New guidelines will be set, and we have already seen the likes of Asia and mainland Europe positively remove the trade events industry from the mass gathering category. This is partly because we as organisers can control the visitors far more effectively than a concert or a football match and adapt to the government’s guidance. With that in mind, we are providing new measures and allowing exhibitors and visitors access to gloves and masks onsite, W W W. M O T O R S P O R T D AY S . increased cleaning facilities and making sure social distancing is possible with more varied catering points and floor markings.

We will be working closely with our exhibitors so they know the safest ways for their staff to be at such events and offering clear guidelines including opportunities for them to use Perspex screens on their stands for closer connections, secure displays and face to face meetings should it be deemed necessary.

A HYBRID OF VIRTUAL AND FACE-TO-FACE INTERACTIONS Networking face-to-face is vital at any event, whilst it is tough to replace through anything virtual, we have created an option to achieve both - our 2020 event will be a hybrid of virtual and face-to-face interactions.

We will be launching the new MotorsportDays LIVE Event App this July, allowing exhibitors to contact visitors and arrange pre-booked onsite or virtual meetings, prebook driver briefings to ensure no overcrowding, request and secure drives or experiences for better planning as well as our workshops, which will now all be bookable in advance through the app.

We produce Europe’s only on-track trade event, which is not fan-based, perfectly timed at the end of the racing season and now FREE to attend whilst adhering to all government safety guidelines. We continue to build and grow the event, with more track time, unique exhibition stands, and bespoke conference seminars so during this period we encourage you to collaborate with us, making sure this time isn’t wasted and empower us to take full advantage when the lights go green and we can all get back on track.

MotorsportDays LIVE could potentially be the first meeting point for all the championships, race teams, drivers and suppliers to the industry. We are still booking stands and have visitors registering daily, so I want to ensure we remain on your radar as a cost-effective opportunity to showcase your products to the UK when the motorsport market is revived.
