On behalf of Motorcycling Australia (MA), I extend a warm welcome to all fans, riders and officials to the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores.
After a brilliant 2024, the ProMX Championship will return with eight rounds of high-stakes action that will take riders and fans on a journey across Australia’s finest motocross venues.
I’d also like to welcome the new additions to the calendar in 2024: Traralgon, Warwick and Nowra.
It’s easy to see why the ProMX championship continues to be a showcase of the best of Australian motocross.
It starts with the top riders competing in the Kawasaki MX1 class to the emerging talent in the Pirelli MX2 class, the next generation of Australian motocross talent in the Maxxis MX3 class, and the ever-expanding EZILIFT MXW women’s class.
And let’s not forget the Veterans, Fox Racing MX85 and KTM MX65 Futures classes.
Fans won’t miss a moment of the action with the exclusive television coverage through SBS, SBS On Demand, Stan Sport and the ProMX TV livestream. I would like to extend my gratitude to all those involved in the ProMX Championship, including the volunteers, officials, staff, riders, teams, and sponsors, for their unwavering support and hard work.
It takes a community to make a championship, and I thank you all for coming together to make the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores a success.

AMX Superstores is proud to continue our partnership with the 2025 Australian ProMX Championship. We extend a warm welcome to all, spectators, riders, race teams and industry supporters.
We are looking forward to another wonderful year of racing ahead, as we know you all are, after an outstanding 2024 season which saw the best racing in recent memory.
This is our fourth year as the ‘presented by’ partner for ProMX, and we are thrilled to be onboard again this year.
For AMX, we’ve always lived and breathed motocross. From our beginnings in 2008 selling clearance motocross gear out of a shed in Bayswater, Victoria, to today with 33 stores across five states and an ever-growing team, motocross is in our blood. The sport provides the opportunity for everyone to enjoy motocross, from spectators to riders to industry sponsors like us, we just love getting involved and having some fun.
We also see our support of ProMX as a small contribution to ensure motocross stays where it should be: a well-
managed sport viewed by as many spectators as possible who have a quality experience, whether at the track or watching the livestream or on free-to-air television through SBS. We know our sport is one of the most spectacular, challenging and extreme sports out there today and we want it to grow for the benefit of teams, riders and spectators alike.
We’ll be at all rounds, so come and talk to our team about anything motocross. We enjoy getting along to these events; it’s what being involved in this industry is all about and we’re privileged to be here to support racing and just talk bikes for a weekend!
And by the way, if you pass by our trade stand, you can pick yourself up some goodies at special ProMX pricing as well!
From team AMX to you, we hope you enjoy 2025 season –now let’s go racing!

For the second consecutive season, Polyflor Honda Racing’s Brodie Connolly has sealed the Pirelli MX2 championship with one round to spare after posting a convincing performance at round seven of the Penrite ProMX Championship, presented by AMX Superstores, in Toowoomba.
It was another dominant day for Honda, with the manufacturer claiming every race win across each category at the scenic Echo Valley venue. Boost Mobile Honda Racing’s Kyle Webster saw off a series of challenges to claim the Kawasaki MX1 victory, while Jet Alsop took the top honours in Maxxis MX3. In the EZILIFT MXW class, SCT Logistics Honda Racing’s Charli Cannon posted a perfect 1-1 scorecard.
Overnight rain made the Echo Valley race track heavy and technical, however, the conditions made for a day of unpredictable, entertaining racing.
Defending champion Webster captured a narrow round win in Kawasaki MX1, on a day that featured some of the best racing showcased this year with a string of battles up and down the field in each encounter.
Webster’s Honda Racing teammate Wilson Todd fired first by topping qualifying, before Triumph’s Zachary Watson stormed to one of the biggest shocks of the 2025 season by claiming the fastest time in the AMX Superstores Pole Shootout.
Watson’s lap-time of 1:59.812 was 0.3secs faster than Nathan Crawford (KTM Racing Team), as Todd took third pick of the gates for the upcoming two races.
Webster claimed a wire-to-wire win in the opening moto, in what was a tough battle with Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna TDUB Racing) pushing Webster hard before a big crash with 10 minutes to go. Then it was title-rival Crawford, who kept the pressure on the Honda rider all the way to the flag.
Luke Clout (Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki) crossed the line in third, followed by Todd and Kirk Gibbs (KTM Racing Team).
Todd won a nail-biter second MX1 moto, where five riders diced for the entire duration for top honours.
Todd, Crawford, Webster, Clout, and Watson swapped positions almost constantly throughout the encounter, before Todd took a 1.9sec win over Crawford. Webster’s third was enough to secure him the round win, as longtime leader Clout finished fourth, with Watson fifth.
Webster took the round victory from Crawford and Todd, and inherits the championship lead from the injured Jed Beaton with a single event remaining. Webster has accumulated 273pts, with Crawford now effectively second (257), tied on points with Beaton.
Polyflor Honda Racing’s Brodie Connolly revelled in the demanding, rain-soaked Toowoomba conditions to complete a perfect day of racing and wrap up his second Pirelli MX2 championship.
Although it was Ferguson who beat everyone to the first turn, the Kiwi had worked his way into the lead within half a lap, and despite Ferguson’s best efforts, which included a desperate last-lap attempt, he couldn’t find a way past, and Connolly claimed the win by 1.4 seconds.
Kingsford finished third, followed by Larwood and Dennis. The round podium was filled by Ferguson and Kingsford.
Connolly heads to the final round with an insurmountable 50pt lead over Kingsford (335 to 285), while Ferguson is a further 26pts back in third.
The New Zealander’s day got off to a positive start when he topped qualifying by 1.35secs over KTM Racing Team duo Byron Dennis and Noah Ferguson. The now two-time champion then won a sensational last-lap battle with Ferguson to snatch the opening moto.
Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki rider Rhys Budd led the field through the opening turn, but before the first lap was in the books Ferguson had slid his way from third and into the lead.
Ferguson would then hold on until the last lap, when a huge charge from Connolly saw him close down a fivesecond gap and take the win by 2.85secs.
Alex Larwood (NFAL Honda Racing) finished third behind a frustrated Ferguson, as Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) and Kaleb Barham (Kawasaki) rounded out the top five.
Connolly’s second-moto win saw him wrap up the MX2 championship with one round to spare.
JPM Race Team Honda’s Jet Alsop stopped Kayd Kingsford’s (Honda Racing) string of MAXXIS MX3 round wins by taking the overall victory at the ultra-technical Toowoomba circuit.
Kingsford topped qualifying as he continued his rampage in the MX3 division, with his 2:08.997 lap-time almost four seconds quicker than Monster Energy WBR Yamaha duo Ky Woods and Koby Hantis.
Alsop finished 11.4 seconds ahead of KTM’s Jackson Fuller in the opening MX3 race as the two traded positions throughout, with Hantis posting a solid third-place ride. Kingsford, who was outside of the top 20 on the opening lap after a tangle, scrambled his way back to P4 for valuable championship points, as Seth Shackleton (KTM) took fifth.
Championship contender Woods crashed out towards the end of the encounter and broke his collarbone, ending his title hopes.
In race two, Alsop beat everyone to the first turn, but couldn’t hold a charging Kingsford at bay – the championship leader sweeping into the lead on the opening lap, holding Alsop at arm’s length to take a 3.1 second win. Hantis finished third, with Fuller and Shackleton fourth and fifth, respectively.
Alsop’s 1-2 scorecard saw him take the round win and keep the MAXXIS MX3 championship alive, with Kingsford second and Hantis in third for round seven.
In the championship points, Kingsford holds a commanding 44pt lead over Alsop, with Woods falling back to third.
Toowoomba’s ProMX round was once again all about SCT Logistics Honda Racing’s Charli Cannon, who was in a league of her own all day in the EZILIFT MXW Class.
After qualifying quickest by 5.3 seconds over Taylah McCutcheon (Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki) and Darci Whalley (KTM), Cannon mastered the challenging
conditions to take a commanding win in the opening encounter.
GASGAS rider Emily Lambert scored the holeshot, but Cannon took little time to position herself at the front of the pack. Despite a tip-over on lap two and temporarily giving up the lead, the defending class champion was on another level as she soared to a 55-second win.
Yamaha’s Madi Simpson and Honda rider Mia Tongue finished in second and third, as Taylor Thompson (KTM) and McCutcheon completed the top five.
Cannon scored the holeshot in race two and quickly built a healthy lead before a tip-over allowed Simpson to close right in. Cannon kept it smooth for the rest of the race to take a 10.7-second win over Simpson, with McCutcheon, Thompson, and Tongue filling the remaining top five spots.
Cannon, Simpson, and McCutcheon locked down the round podium, while the Honda rider keeps control of the championship (150pts) over McCutcheon (110) and Thompson (103).

The Kawasaki MX1 class is the top category in ProMX, where the top factory-backed teams and riders compete, representing all the major Japanese and European manufacturers on latest state-of-the-art 450cc four-strokes – including in 2025 for the first time, legendary British marque Triumph.
In Kawasaki MX1, you’ll get to see the best riders in the nation and international stars who may make a one-off appearance or compete in the entire championship. This only serves to elevate the level of competition and add even more star power to Kawasaki MX1.
Leading the charge in Kawasaki MX1 for 2025 is Kyle Webster (Honda), who won his first championship in 2024 after a pulsating season-long battle against the luckless Jed Beaton (Yamaha). The duo finished equal on points, with Webster awarded the title on a countback. The previous year, Beaton also finished second behind then teammate Dean Ferris.
Joining Webster – who also completed a superb 2024 by winning the Motocross of Nations as part of Team Australia – on the MX1 starting gates will be the likes of Nathan Crawford (KTM), Kirk Gibbs (KTM), Luke Clout (Kawasaki), Todd Waters (Husqvarna), 2023 champion Aaron Tanti (Yamaha), Jack Simpson (Triumph), Wilson Todd (Honda) and Joel Evans (Kawasaki), as well as a new generation of young guns eager to show their skills in the premier category.
Kawasaki MX1 is the place to be for the most talented riders, the best-funded teams, and the fastest bikes. Get ready for a thrilling display of raw speed and intensity that will again have everyone on the edge of their seats!

The wily veterans are coming out to play on August 2-3!
Yep, the 2025 ProMX Championship finale at Queensland Moto Park (QMP) will feature a return of the popular Vets (MXV) classes across the 30-39 and 40-plus age divisions.
Both classes will be all-powers affairs, with the two motos to be run over 15 minutes plus a lap.
Plenty of Aussie motocross (and a few from other disciplines as well) stars from yesteryear who still enjoy the thrill of the hunt.
Both classes look to be wide open affairs, although podium finishers from 2024 – Trent Loder in 30-39 and Dean Freer in 40-plus – will fancy their chances of reaching the summit in 2025.
They are going to be hotly contested motos, although some riders may be running on empty by the end of the races!
