Miami Art Week is a vibrant, immersive experience where art, design, and culture collide in one of the most exciting cities in the world This year, I had the opportunity to explore some of the most renowned events, including Art Basel, Design Miami, Scope Art Show and their concert, as well as Untitled Art Fair I even took a moment to recharge at the Wellness Oasis, a serene retreat amidst the buzz of creativity

From thought-provoking exhibits to groundbreaking installations, this week was a feast for the senses and a true celebration of artistic expression. Join me as I take you through the highlights and unforgettable moments of Miami Art Week!

ArtBasel

Founded in 1970 in Basel, Switzerland, Art Basel is one of the world's most prestigious art fairs, showcasing contemporary and modern art from leading galleries, artists, and collectors worldwide I have now attended in 2021, 2023, and 2024, and I enjoy it more and more each year. As a painter myself, it inspires me to keep going with my craft. Looking at art also inspires my interior design ideas When I see a painting I love, I then envision a whole room around it If you enjoy art, or at least some aspect of the world of design, then I recommend checking out Art Basel

Travel tip: Traffic during art week is actually INSANE! If you are traveling to Art Basel, I recommend staying at a hotel near the exhibit so you can walk there My pick is the 1 Hotel

DesignMiami

Design Miami is a global forum for collectible design that takes place in Miami alongside Art Basel It brings together the world's leading designers, galleries, curators, collectors, and enthusiasts to celebrate innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship in interior design, furniture, and decorative arts If you go to Art Basel, ensure you also get ticket entry to Design Miami, which is housed across the street

This year, luxury fashion houses made their mark at Design Miami, with Bottega Veneta showcasing playful animal-shaped bean bags (I wanted every single one!) and Fendi presenting a stunning installation featuring a contemporary room design My favorite piece, however, was a fabulously quirky furry liquor cabinet ironic since I don’t even drink! If it were in my home, it would undoubtedly become the most extravagant matcha bar ever. As a self-proclaimed interior design obsessive, this exhibit is always a highlight of Art Week for me My only wish? That it were even bigger, because I can’t get enough!

ScopeArt Show

SCOPE Art Show is one of the leading contemporary art fairs, held annually during Miami Art Week in Miami Beach Known for its innovative and cutting-edge presentation, SCOPE brings together emerging artists, galleries, and collectors from around the world, serving as a platform for forward-thinking art and cultural trends

I love the SCOPE Art Show because it takes place right on the beach, just a few blocks from where I live It’s incredible to watch them transform the sands of South Beach into a stunning, temporary art gallery. Beyond the art, SCOPE offers wellness classes in partnership with Alo Yoga, which are held in their event space a perfect mix of creativity and mindfulness. I also had the chance to attend their concert, where I caught DJ sets by Eli Fola and Disclosure Black Coffee performed too, but that was way past my bedtime and beauty sleep is my priority lol

UntitledArt Fair

The untitled Art Fair is slightly north of the Scope Art Show and is also on the beach Known for its focus on innovation, inclusivity, and emerging perspectives, I enjoyed much of the artwork here It was my first time attending this fair, and I will definitely go back next year

Selfcareisthe bestcare

For the first time this year, I attended the wellness oasis at the 1 hotel in South Beach during my super busy art week The Wellness Oasis is a community event designed to nurture mental, physical, and spiritual well-being Guided by renowned experts such as Dan Buettner and advocates from various self-care disciplines, the Oasis offers an immersive program focused on holistic wellness We participated in inspiring conversations and interactive workshops that included writing poetry and enriching experiences centered around movement, mindfulness, and connection

The event was so well executed, which is not a surprise considering it was held at the 1 Hotel in South Beach We ate delicious meals provided by the Garden Butcher and Playa Bowls and sipped on lattes made by Nespresso Between speakers, I had the chance to unwind on a PEMF mat by Higher Dose while wearing their red light therapy mask

I also got to shop for the latest in activewear by Beyond Yoga Armra Colostrum was also there, serving their product in the form of a delicious and hydrating drink From iconic actress Goldie Hawn, who leads the Mind Up project, to a dreamy-looking Joe Jonas, there were a ton of really amazing speakers and sessions One of my favorites was the opening workshop with poet IN-Q, who really stole the show with his poetry He even made us write our own poems and read them to the people next to us, which really got me to have more confidence in myself when sharing my art I will definitely be back at this event next year, and I hope you come along too!

In today’s fast-paced world, staying fit and healthy can feel like a challenge However, with so many resources available, it doesn’t have to be As someone juggling a full-time 9-to-5 job while building a brand, I’ve discovered ways to stay active despite my busy schedule all thanks to fitness apps These apps have made fitness accessible and non-negotiable for me The common excuse of "not having enough time" no longer holds up because fitness apps put personalized workouts, progress tracking, and motivation right at your fingertips.

In this post, I’ll share my favorite fitness apps that have helped me achieve my wellness goals. Whether you ’ re a complete beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, there’s something for everyone. Let’s explore these apps and find the perfect one to help you crush your fitness goals!

The Fitness Apps I use and Love

Alo Moves: I love their selection of Pilates and Yoga classes and extensive breath work Their breath work series has helped me release a lot of emotional stress They also track the classes you take which helps you track your progress

Tammy Fit App by Tammy Hembrow: I have experienced great results so far during their current fitness challenge! I also love their meal plans designed for all different types of eaters. Another cool feature they have is that you can submit your photos to track your progress, something I have not done before this App

The Pilates Class: This fitness app has a great selection of Pilates and Full body classes I also enjoy their recipes

KINRGY: Designed by Julianne Hough, this danceinspired workout has become my mental release I really enjoy their use of breath work within the workouts Plus, I sweat so much!

Melissa Wood Health: These workouts are short and effective, and you feel super sculpted I also utilize the meditations in this app

The Sculpt Society: I really enjoy their dance cardio selection as well as their selection of workouts for prenatal and postpartum women. I will definitely look to those workouts when I am in that stage of life!

My first (and so far, only) trip to Milan, Italy, was a bittersweet experience I had just arrived in one of the world’s fashion capitals when I learned my grandmother had passed away A week before, when I told her about my plans to visit Italy, she smiled and was genuinely happy for me I held onto that memory as I explored the city, turning to some serious retail therapy to cope A sequin-covered Fendi Baguette couldn’t bring her back, but it sure became a statement piece in my closet!

I moved to Miami Beach in November 2020, seeking solace after months of strict COVID lockdown in New Jersey Drawn by the need for healing, my intuition guided me to the ocean There’s something undeniably magical about it the soothing rhythm of the waves, the salty breeze against your skin, and the endless stretch of blue horizon that has captivated humanity for centuries

Yet, the ocean ’ s magic goes far beyond its beauty. It offers profound healing for both the body and mind. Whether you ’ re diving into the waves, strolling along the shore, or simply gazing at its vast expanse, the ocean has an unparalleled ability to nurture, restore, and rejuvenate Let’s explore the many ways this natural wonder promotes health and well-being

The soothing sound of waves crashing on the shore is often featured in meditation and relaxation apps for a reason The ocean ’ s rhythmic ebb and flow has a calming effect on the brain, reducing stress and anxiety Being near the water naturally triggers the release of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin chemicals that foster happiness and relaxation In fact, research shows that people who live near the coast consistently report lower stress levels and greater overall life satisfaction

When by the Ocean, I try not to even look at my phone unless I want to take a photo of the sunrise. The simple act of walking barefoot on the sand also known as grounding or earthing can help reduce stress and inflammation while improving sleep Being near the ocean encourages mindfulness, as you become fully present, listening to the waves, feeling the sand underfoot, and taking in the salty air The next time you are at the beach, put down your phone and turn inward

Whether you're planning a major renovation or simply updating a room, these trends will keep your interiors ahead of the curve

Natural materials, such as wood, stone, clay, and textiles made from organic fibers, are often more sustainable than synthetic alternatives They create a warm, inviting atmosphere, connecting people with the natural world Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, using natural materials can contribute to better indoor air quality and overall well-being (which is very important to me and should be to you too) Materials like wood and natural fibers can reduce the presence of harmful chemicals often found in synthetic products, which is exactly what I have been focusing on in my own home.

WHAT’SOLDIS NEWAGAIN

Another vibe we are seeing in interior design trends for 2025 is the revival of retro design influences from the '60s and '70s If you read our winter 2025 trend edit, then you know that in fashion, bohemian glam is back The same goes for interior design, as fashion and interiors go hand in hand

What can we expect? Curved furniture, like sofas and chairs with rounded edges Oversized pendant lights and rounded lamps with metallic finishes Wallpapers with bold patterns Textures such as velvet, leather, and rattan. And of course, touches of old technology like a record player or even a rotary phone (to be honest, I have been searching for a rotary phone myself!)

BACKTO THEFUTURE

2025 Interior design trends are inclusive of both elements of the past and moving forward into the future world of technology For the kitchen, gone are the days of all exposed appliances By 2025, we prefer handleless cabinets and integrated appliances to create a seamless, streamlined space. Smart technology takes center stage, with features like voice-activated lighting throughout the home, touchless faucets, and hidden charging stations for a clutter-free look Apple is even rumored to be developing a new wall tablet that would be primarily used for home control, including video calls, with AI integration and the ability to control smart home appliances (supposedly launching in March )

Technology is even being implemented in closet designs these days Many walk-in closets of newly built homes feature products like the Samsung Air Dresser, which steams and sanitizes your clothing (I NEED)!

ADDINGWARMTH ANDSERENITY

In 2025, rich earth tones, especially shades of brown, will provide warmth in the home In fact, Chocolate Mousse is the Pantone color of the year! Aside from being earthy and grounding, what's great about the color brown is that it's still neutral, pleasing to minimalist lovers Aside from shades of brown, peace and serenity are added to homes to create a sense of calm

MINIMALISMAND MENTALHEALTH

About 20% of adults in the USA are experiencing mental illness, and approximately 1 in 8 individuals globally I myself have experienced anxiety and depression from a young age So, what does this have to do with interior design? Minimalist interior design can promote mental health by helping to reduce stress, improve focus, and create a sense of tranquility For 2025, we are seeing the minimalist design approach throughout the home

To create a more minimalist space, the first thing you will want to do is declutter Getting rid of unnecessary items can help to reduce visual and mental overload Next, you will want to create negative space to create a sense of openness and simplicity. The minimalist design means you won't include any unnecessary furniture in the space. For the furniture you do include, choose items with clean lines and simple shapes made of natural materials Keep the color palette monochromatic or neutral And lastly, let in as much natural light as possible

ABEAUTIFUL 2025

Take these tips and make 2025 a beautiful year inside and out Your surroundings truly affect your psychology, so make sure your home design incorporates whatever elements make you feel good Start with a beginning-of-the-year clean-up (I'm currently doing this myself) Donate things you no longer need and get rid of things that are no longer usable That alone will make you feel great! Mind, Body, Balance

MY2025 WELLNESS INTENTIONS

BuildingStrength

After completing a Tammy Fit app challenge focused on strength training, I’m feeling stronger, more toned, and leaner than ever Strength training offers incredible benefits, including improved muscle tone, increased metabolism, stronger bones, and better overall health That’s why I’m making it a key part of my 2025 wellness plan

To stay consistent and continue seeing results, I’m planning to add more strength-focused workouts to my weekly routine and even hire a personal trainer for one session per week to keep me on track and push my limits.

EmbracingStillness

Guided meditations and breathwork have been gamechangers for me, especially when I stick to a consistent routine The length and regularity of my practice truly impact how effective it is in reducing stress and improving my focus For 2025, my goal is to meditate for at least 10 minutes daily and challenge myself with longer sessions, such as 30 minutes or more

Meditation has proven benefits, including reducing stress, enhancing mental clarity, improving emotional well-being, and even boosting physical health by lowering blood pressure. By committing to this practice, It really helped me throughout 2024 to cultivate a deeper sense of calm and balance, and I hope to build on that progress throughout 2025

LetitFuckingGo

It’s natural to feel hurt by remarks from co-workers, family, or friends, but in 2025, I’m choosing to let those moments slide Often, these comments are harmless projections or rooted in someone else’s unhappiness Instead of letting them bother me, I’m making a conscious effort not to internalize negativity

If someone wants to call me "not fun" for avoiding alcohol or take a petty dig at me, that’s on them not me Letting go of these small grievances saves energy, reduces stress, and fosters emotional resilience

Studies show that letting go of grudges can improve mental health, reduce anxiety, and even lower blood pressure So, when faced with negativity, I’ll take a deep breath, exhale, and remind myself to stay kind, confident, and unfazed Life’s too short to sweat the small stuff, and their comments aren’t a reflection of me they’re a reflection of their own struggles Let it go and move forward with grace.

To stay on this path of digital detoxing, I plan to schedule more of my social media content in advance, freeing up time and energy for more meaningful activities. Since 2020, I’ve been gradually reducing my alcohol intake, often going months without drinking. In 2025, I’m committing to living completely alcohol-free. The few times I drank this past year didn’t bring any joy in fact, all I got was a mild stomachache. So, goodbye, alcohol I won’t miss you I’m not alone in this journey; an increasing number of people are choosing to live sober, with the "sober curious" movement gaining popularity worldwide This shift reflects growing awareness of alcohol’s impact on both physical and mental health Even casual drinking can disrupt sleep, weaken your immune system, and increase your risk of long-term issues like liver damage, heart disease, and anxiety

On the flip side, living alcohol-free has proven benefits, such as better energy levels, improved mental clarity, healthier skin, and greater emotional stability For me, cutting out alcohol is about living intentionally and taking better care of my body and mind because I deserve to feel my best every single day
