ALETTER FROMTHEEDITOR We’realljusthealing 1

A few years ago, as the world slowly emerged from the grip of the COVID-19 lockdowns, I found myself sinking into one of the darkest chapters of my life Depression and anxiety had taken hold, and I wasn’t sure how or if I’d find my way out

It was during this time, in April of 2021, that I launched a campaign I called “Healing.” I didn’t know it then, but naming that campaign was the first step in naming my own transformation What felt like the end was actually the beginning

Since then, I’ve been on a deeply personal healing journey

One small, healthy habit at a time, I started to rebuild Movement, meditation, and nourishing food became my anchors Slowly, I found my way back to myself and I discovered that healing isn’t always loud or linear It’s quiet, persistent, and deeply personal

We often move so fast that we forget to celebrate our own growth Today, I’m proud to say I’m happy and truly grateful to be alive (not every day but most days which is a big win for me ) I’ve learned that happiness doesn’t come from chasing the next big thing it’s found in the stillness of the present moment, and in appreciating another chance to begin again And when you start from a place of gratitude, all the beautiful, glittery things have a way of showing up on their own.

No matter where you are on your journey whether you ’ re just beginning or simply trying to get through the day know that you ’ re not alone We’re all healing in our own way

This month, I invite you to take a pause Reflect on how far you ’ ve come And maybe, just maybe, add one small habit that nourishes your body, mind, or soul

Sending healing,

I went to Coachella for the first time almost 10 years ago (wild) and honestly, it was one of the best weekends of my life I went with my cousin Kristin she’s the kind of travel buddy who’s always smiling and up for anything and we laughed nonstop the entire trip. I’ll never forget spotting that iconic ferris wheel for the first time, devouring the most delicious fries at the food stands, and watching one insanely talented artist after another take the stage We had our mornings free, so we’d start the day with a little workout and chill by the hotel pool before heading into the festival at sunset Truly living our best lives.

We fully leaned into our free-spirited era—yes, there was a little weed involved and it had me feeling totally at peace in that sea of people (okay, the crowd was a little overwhelming at times, not gonna lie) I’d go back in a heartbeat, and next time I’m definitely going all out with the outfits. Festival fashion is bold, bohemian, and fun exactly the kind of energy we should be channeling into our everyday looks, too.

One thing to note: the desert gets hot during the day and chilly at night, so if you ’ re headed to Coachella or any desert fest, pack accordingly. Whether you ’ re going or just vibing from afar, our festival edit is full of pieces that have us seriously rocking on.

Coachella 2016 What a time!

RavelloRevealed

EuroSummer

To be honest, I thrive in Europe especially in the summer There’s nothing quite like a European summer trip: the crystal blue waters, the fresh food (free of all the harmful additives we consume in the U.S.), the golden tan I love it all. If I could, I’d spend every minute of every summer in Europe, and hopefully, one day I will

A few summers ago, I traveled to the quaint hilltop village of Ravello, Italy, for a friend’s wedding. It was my first time visiting this charming corner of the Amalfi Coast, and I instantly fell in love. Unlike Positano, Ravello felt quieter, less crowded, and full of artsy, small-town charm Wandering the cobblestone streets and soaking in the views felt like a dream

That trip also holds a very personal and bittersweet memory for me. While I was in Ravello, my grandmother was in hospice, and she passed away just before I left to come home. In many ways, that time in Italy became a healing experience I traveled there knowing it would likely be the last time I’d see her, and when I told her about my trip, she was so happy for me I even got to show her the dress I was going to wear for the wedding Because of that, Ravello will always have a special place in my heart

If you ’ re planning a trip to this beautiful village, I’m sharing some of my favorite recommendations plus some photos I took when I was there Have a beautiful trip!

Wtfisalymphaticsystem?

Your lymphatic system is a network of vessels, nodes, and organs that act like your body’s natural detox and drainage system. It works alongside your circulatory system to remove toxins, waste, and excess fluids while also transporting white blood cells to help fight infections and support your immune system. Unlike your bloodstream, your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump (like the heart), so it relies on movement, breath, and certain wellness practices to keep things flowing.

Draining your lymphatic system is key to reducing inflammation, boosting immunity, and preventing fluid retention or puffiness I’ve been told by my healers that my lymphatic system is a bit sluggish, so helping my system drain is key to achieving optimal health Here are some natural ways I drain my lymphatic system:

Waystohelpdrainyoursystem:

Dry brushing before showering: This stimulates lymph flow by gently encouraging movement under the skin I swear by my Skinny Confidential girly pink dry brush!

Lymphatic drainage massage: Uses light, rhythmic strokes to move stagnant lymph fluid manually I look up how to do this on myself on Youtube!

Rebounding (mini trampoline): The up-and-down motion helps pump lymph fluid since the system doesn’t have its own pump. How fun? I don’t have a trampoline so I do about 20 jumps in the morning when I wake up.

Staying hydrated: Keeps lymph fluid thin and flowing easily through the body. I like to add some boosters to my water like olive oil or lemon to enhance the taste and health benefits

Deep breathing exercises: Expands the diaphragm, which naturally pumps the largest lymphatic vessel I enjoy my nightly breath work practice, which has helped me mentally and physically heal I enjoy videos on YouTube about breath work with Sandy and the breath work series on Alo Moves

Regular movement (walking, yoga, stretching): Muscle contractions help push lymph through its vessels I love walking and fully swear it is the best mental and physical exercise I feel my best when I get my 10k steps a day

Contrast showers (hot & cold water): The temperature changes stimulate circulation and lymph movement. I do not do this often because I hate being cold TBH!

Infrared sauna sessions: Increases circulation and sweating, supporting detoxification. I like to use my higher-dose sauna blanket and enjoy a great book. Pro tip: take a binder before going into a sauna (about 1 hour before) that way, you do not reabsorb the toxins you sweat out. More people need to talk about this! .

Lymph-supporting foods (leafy greens, citrus, ginger): Contain antioxidants and enzymes that naturally support detox and lymphatic health I like making a drink of orange juice fresly made with my juicer, water, and olive oil to help me detox in the morning

5AwesomeBooks

I've been reading so much more this year, all thanks to my sister, who started a book club with me and my mom Whether you're diving into a self-help book or escaping into a wildly creative story, reading is such a gift for both the mind and soul To inspire you to pick up more books, I'll be sharing five of my favorites each month hopefully, one of them will make it onto your reading list Happy reading!

One of us is Dead by Jeneva Rose : Think Desperate Housewives in novel form This book is a a fast-paced, twisty thriller set in the glamorous, cutthroat world of Buckhead’s elite, where secrets, betrayal, and scandal swirl beneath the polished surface Our family book club loved it!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson: : Through blunt humor and real-life examples, Manson teaches how embracing life's struggles can lead to a more meaningful, grounded, and happier life This is a great read for someone dipping their toes into self-help books for the first time.

It Begins with You by Jillian Turecki: This is my next read! The author gifted the book to me at a wellness event I attended this past winter In the book, relationship coach Jillian teaches us how to look within to have a meaningful relationship filled with connection, security, and intimacy.

The Inmate by Freida McFadden: The Inmate by Freida McFadden is a gripping psychological thriller about a nurse who takes a job at a men's maximum-security prison, only to find herself face-to-face with the man she once loved and helped put behind bars I definitely fell for the plot twist of this book!

MONEY Master the Game- 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom by Tony Robbins: I recently attended one of his free online seminars and it was a great mental reboot and reminder to keep moving forward I want to read one of his books so I think I will start with this one, as financial literacy is something I need to improve in myself.

GettingPaper

Wallpaper is having a major moment No longer just an afterthought or something you'd find in your grandma’s powder room, wallpaper has made a bold comeback in the design world I actually fell in love with wallpaper while giving my condo a facelift I stumbled across this artsy, ocean-themed printed wallpaper and knew I had to use it in my guest bathroom it completely transformed the space and made it feel SO unique. Whether you're giving your living room a facelift, elevating a bedroom, or adding a pop to an entryway, the right wallpaper can completely transform a space

This year, wallpaper trends are all about expression, texture, and mood It’s not just about color anymore it’s about how the paper feels, how it plays with light, and how it creates a vibe. Here’s a look at the top wallpaper print and texture trends designers and home enthusiasts are loving right now:

 Oversized Florals & Nature-Inspired Prints:

Florals will never go out of style, but this year it’s all about bold, oversized botanical prints. Think giant peonies, moody dark roses, or soft watercolor leaves Nature-inspired prints, including vines, palms, and exotic plants, bring an organic, calming touch to your walls while making a statement

 Textured Grasscloth & Woven Wallpapers:

Texture is everything in 2025 Grasscloth, jute, linen, and woven wallpapers are trending because they instantly add depth and warmth to any room. These materials create an elevated, tactile experience that paint simply can't replicate Perfect for cozy bedrooms, dining rooms, or even powder rooms.

 Moody Murals & Panoramic Scenes:

Instead of a repetitive pattern, full-wall murals and scenic prints are trending. Think vintage French countryside illustrations, tropical jungles, or abstract cloudscapes These designs turn an entire wall into a work of art and instantly give the room a "wow" factor.

 Painterly & Watercolor Motifs:

Art-inspired prints are everywhere especially those that look hand-painted or washed with soft watercolor strokes. These subtle, fluid designs bring movement and serenity to a space without overwhelming it You’ll see them in muted pastels, earthy tones, and even soft metallics

 Timeless Toile Prints:

Toile de Jouy also known simply as toile is making a chic comeback (And I am obsessed ) This classic French print, typically depicting pastoral scenes or romantic landscapes in a single color, brings a touch of old-world charm and elegance to any space Designers are modernizing toile with unexpected colorways or oversized scales, making it perfect for powder rooms, bedrooms, or even statement ceilings.

Before you buy, always order samples and test them in your space at different times of day. Lighting can completely change the look and feel of certain textures and prints

More people are realizing that wallpaper isn’t just décor it’s an instant mood enhancer. With so many removable and peel-and-stick options available now, even renters or commitment-phobes can play with these trends If you're thinking about switching things up at home, a single statement wall or even a subtle textured wallpaper can completely shift the energy of your space

“We’realljustHealing”

My journey of living with anxiety and depression, and how I am facing it without medication.

TheEarlyDays

Something I didn’t fully realize until adulthood is that I’ve been battling anxiety and depression since I was a child. Growing up, mental health wasn’t something people talked about especially in an Italian-American household where holistic remedies were for "hippies," and pasta was considered the cure for everything I was constantly told I was "too sensitive" and "too emotional," and it was never meant as a compliment It felt like something I needed to fix

By my early teens, I was suffering regular panic attacks and was covered in acne crushing what little confidence I had In my mid-teens, I experienced my first suicidal thoughts I never intended to end my life, but I did often think that death might feel easier than feeling everything so deeply For years, I believed something was wrong with me It took me a long time to understand that my emotions weren’t weaknesses they were my superpowers

Today, I see my ability to feel and care so deeply as a blessing, not a curse. In my early and mid-twenties, I bounced between therapy sessions and nights out, numbing my anxiety and depression with partying and distractions. It wasn’t until the COVID-19 lockdown that I was forced to face every single thing I’d been avoiding. The isolation triggered the worst and longest period of anxiety and depression I had ever experienced but looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for it.

That chapter of darkness forced me to go inward. It pushed me to break bad habits that weren’t serving me, to confront the parts of myself I didn’t like, and to begin healing. There were moments I didn’t think I’d make it through it felt like the end And in many ways, it was It was the end of the constant battle I’d been fighting with my mind for far too long and the beginning of real, lasting healing The truth is, if I hadn’t gone through that, I would’ve never found my "happily ever after " Because how can you truly love someone else if you don’t love yourself first?

The most beautiful part? When I started this journey, I couldn’t even look in the mirror and say, "I love you " Now, I smile at myself and say it multiple times a day

How did I get here? Let me tell you

Thingsthathelpedmeheal

Daily Prayer

Whether you believe in God, the universe, or something else entirely prayer is powerful. You need to believe in something greater than yourself. I started praying as a last resort, and it changed everything. My prayers were answered in ways I never imagined. Simply asking for help and surrendering can work miracles

Daily Movement

Movement is medicine Our bodies weren’t built to be still, yet modern life keeps us glued to screens and stuck at desks Move your body every single day even just 30 minutes Whether it’s walking, dancing, yoga, or strength training, make it something you enjoy The stronger your body becomes, the stronger your mind will feel And yes, looking good is a bonus

Remove Substances

This one is non-negotiable: no alcohol, no weed, no drugs, no nicotine If you want to heal, you have to clear out the toxins Alcohol is a depressant, and if you struggle with anxiety, depression, or manic energy, substances only make it worse. Your goal is balance — a clean, clear mind and body.

Nourish with Whole Foods

What you put into your body is either an act of self-love or self-sabotage. Choose whole, real foods that fuel and nourish you. Avoid processed junk. Your brain chemistry is deeply affected by what you eat, and when you feed your body well, your mind follows.

Breathwork Practice

This is one of my favorite tools The emotional releases I’ve experienced through breathwork are beyond words It’s a free, accessible way to release stuck energy and immediately feel lighter Breathwork has become an essential part of my mental and emotional hygiene

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the most important emotional release in healing You must forgive yourself for everything And you must forgive others, even if they never apologize Holding onto anger or resentment only poisons you Let it go Free yourself

Reconnect with What You Love

Get back to the things that make your soul light up. For me, it was painting, designing, and styling. I had lost myself in a job that didn’t reflect who I truly am, and it took a HUGE toll on my mental health. Creativity helped me reconnect to my purpose and joy.

Practice Daily Gratitude

Every single day, say out loud the things you are grateful for. When you start to recognize the blessings all around you your health, your senses, your home, your relationships your perspective on life shifts. Gratitude is the fastest way to raise your vibration.

Learn to Love Yourself

The most important relationship you’ll ever have is with yourself How you speak to yourself matters Try the mirror test look yourself in the eyes and say, "I love you " It sounds simple, but it’s harder than you think Keep practicing until it feels real

Give Back

One of the first steps I took on my healing journey was sponsoring a child through a hunger relief organization I knew that if I wanted to become the best version of myself a future wife, mother, and friend I needed to heal Giving back gave me a sense of purpose and reminded me how blessed I truly am.

Readytoheal?

It’s never too late to transform your life. The last thing I want is for you to spend another day feeling how I used to feel heavy, anxious, disconnected, and stuck. And don’t get me wrong, I still have my off days. Healing isn’t about becoming happy every day; it’s about learning how to carry the hard days with more lightness, more grace, and more love.

I want to be clear: if prescription medication is part of your healing journey, that’s okay There is no shame in getting the help you need But I also know firsthand how powerful the steps I’ve shared here can be These are the tools that truly changed my life The medical system doesn’t always teach us how to get off the medication or how to heal from the inside out but that’s why I’m sharing these holistic tools with you So you have options So you can feel empowered So you can live your best damn life

One more thing I need you to know: healing takes time For me, it took years It’s not a quick fix or a 30-day challenge It’s a lifetime commitment to yourself But I promise you — it’s worth it Healing is like a caterpillar going through metamorphosis. The conditions are tough, uncomfortable, and sometimes it feels like you won’t make it. But if you keep going, if you trust the process, one day you’ll emerge transformed light, free, and beautifully unrecognizable to the version of yourself that once struggled to survive. You are that butterfly, my friend. And it’s your time to spread your wings and fly.

Sending love and healing, Bri
