There are a range of new summer packages to try from body massages, facials and hammam offers, which all promise to provide a better glow than any filter Instagram has to offer. Highlights include a Maroc Maroc candle massage (Dhs500 for one hour), which uses the soothing warmth of Paillettes d’Ambre candles and gentle movements to untangle knots. We headed into the famous Away Spa to try it out for ourselves.
As hoped, it’s a beautiful treatment, performed inside one of the most stylish spas we’ve been to in a long time. Be sure to take full advantage of the luxurious relaxation area, where you can enjoy a pre-spa jacuzzi while sipping on green tea or juice. The massage itself takes place on what can only be described as the world’s softest treatment bed, so snug it felt as if we were being engulfed in a big spongy hug. From then on, our treatment room was a stress-free zone, where our wonderful therapist applied firm but soothing pressure from head to toe, while gentling
