NEW YEAR’S EVE AT MÖVENPICK AL MARJAN:
ROOFTOP VIEWS, BEACH VIBES, AND A FIVE-COURSE FEAST
Ring in 2026 with front-row fireworks, three party styles, and a limited 20% Early Bird offer
If your ideal New Year’s Eve includes a guaranteed view of Ras Al Khaimah’s recordbreaking fireworks, Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island has your plans sorted. The beachfront resort has curated three distinct celebrations that all put you close to the midnight spectacle, so you can choose your mood and leave the logistics to the team. Book before December 15 to unlock a 20 per cent Early Bird saving on selected packages. Seats are limited and full prepayment applies.
For skyline drama and a sleek countdown, Neo Sky Bar is the place. High above the shoreline, you get a sweeping vantage of the Marjan Island show, sharing platters to graze on, and unlimited beverages through the night. Packages are Dhs550 for house beverages or Dhs700 for premium pours. The soundtrack leans celebratory, the crowd skews dressed-up, and the photo ops are instant.
& Bar hosts a polished five-course New Year’s Eve menu with live entertainment and a relaxed brasserie buzz. Expect plates built for a special night out, from lobster ravioli to Angus beef medallion with foie gras, with a bright kalamansi sorbet interlude and a finale of signature desserts. Choose Dhs499 for the dinner with soft drinks or Dhs599 for dinner with unlimited house beverages. A kids’ menu is available, making Boons an easy choice for families. Want the best of both worlds. Take the “Boons × Neo Fireworks Pack” at Dhs849 and enjoy the full dinner at Boons before heading up to Neo for the countdown and show. If the last night of the year should feel like a barefoot party, Ula Beach RAK brings the boho energy. Think beachside tables, a three-course sharing menu, a live DJ, and the fireworks unfolding right in front of you. Pick the
upper deck, house beverages option for Dhs750, or go lower deck, poolside with premium beverages for Dhs950. It is festive, unfussy, and made for groups that want to toast by the water.
Across all three venues you are booking more than a seat. You are booking the front row to one of the UAE’s biggest midnight moments. Choose rooftop glamour, brasserie elegance, or beachside beats, then count down to 2026 with a show you will be talking about well into January.

MERRY MISCHIEF LANDS IN RAS AL KHAIMAH:
YOUR ONE-STOP CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR STOCK-UP AT MMI
Playful gifting, expert pairings, and limited festive extras inside a wonderland-style store
If you like your December plans packed with a relay of dinners, barbecues and house parties, consider this your shortcut. MMI Ras Al Khaimah has transformed their store into a cheerful “Merry Mischief” takeover, complete with elves, gifting corners and in-store theatrics that make the annual stock-up feel easy and even fun. The idea is simple, one stop, smart picks and help on hand. Then you are out the door and party-ready.
Start with gifts that actually land. The shelves carry curated presents and limited-edition packs, with personalised wrapping and packaging available so your host gifts look the part. Ask the team about the Merry Mischief Advent Calendar too. It’s a crowd-pleaser, filled with 24 mini bottles from names like Moët & Chandon, Bombay Sapphire, Absolut, Bottega and Jameson. Availability is limited, so early birds win here.
The store experience is built for browsing with purpose. You can taste on select days, get pairing advice for everything from seafood feasts to roast-day menus, and even add a keepsake touch with personalised bottle engraving. For New Year’s, look for magnums and premium picks that play well with countdown moments and larger gatherings. Doing a big shop? There are case deals across popular lines and a Buy 5, Get 1 Free on selected bubbles and wines, which takes some sting out of the seasonal list.
MMI Ras Al Khaimah also brings a few bragging rights. The store houses the largest fine wine collection in the UAE, a Macallan Boutique for collectors, a Le Clos shop-in-shop for elevated gifting, and the emirate’s only walk-in beer chiller. You’re getting chilled cases for the esky, rare finds for the cellar, and safe choices for the office Secret Santa in one sweep.
If you are planning a proper spread, depend on the beverage specialists. They will help you map quantities to guest lists, steer you to adventurous alternatives if
your usual pick is out of stock, and keep budgets sensible across mixed baskets. It turns a daunting trolley dash into a quick, confident shop.
The festive hours are friendly too. The MMI Ras Al Khaimah store is open daily from 9am to 11.30pm, so you can fit a visit between concerts, airport runs and last-minute plan changes. Bring your gift list, scan the calendar for gatherings all the way through New Year’s, and shop once for the full season. Stock on the special items, including the Advent Calendar and the limited Sips & Spills party board game, is first come, first served.

The woman behind tashas: 20 years of
coffee, comfort, and community
Natasha Sideris on building a global café brand from a South African corner shop to the UAE and beyond
When Natasha Sideris opened the first tashas in Johannesburg’s Atholl Square, she thought it would be a hobby. She was studying psychology at university and had plans to write a book called Street Food Africa.
“I thought I’d open the store, work a few hours in the morning, go to lectures, and write my cookbook,” she laughs. “That never happened. From day one, it just took off.”
Two decades later, tashas has grown into a global name with 40 restaurants across South Africa, the UAE, and now Saudi Arabia. Sideris never planned for this. “Everything we do is organic. It takes time. We don’t chase trends, we don’t rush growth. It’s about doing things properly and choosing locations that make sense.”
on an expensive couch,” she says.
Her brother, who designs the interiors, shares her vision of understated elegance. The restaurants are designed to feel like home, a mix of quiet comfort and luxury. “You can come for a cappuccino and a slice of cake or go all out with grilled prawns and a Luxburger. It’s about making everyone feel welcome,” she says.
What started as a corner café has become a lifestyle brand defined by what she calls “quiet comfort and luxury”.
Finding a home in the UAE
Sideris landed in Dubai 11 years ago after a local Emirati businessman reached out about bringing tashas to the UAE. “We’d been approached by big corporate groups in the US, the UK, and Australia,” she says. “But the UAE made sense. I came to Dubai, fell in love, and never left.”
Now she is expanding beyond Dubai and Abu Dhabi into Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah. “We’ve been approached for years, especially after opening tashas in Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi, but the timing wasn’t right. Now, with Dubai becoming more populated and people moving to other emirates, it’s perfect. Al Ain has a great coffee culture and Sharjah has an amazing creative scene.”
The latest tashas in Al Ain is set to open in January 2026.
Sideris is hands-on with every new space. When we speak, she is in Riyadh, pausing mid-conversation to guide her team. “Don’t hold your tray to your chest. It’s not welcoming,” she calls out. Then she returns to the interview. “I am a control freak. I was in the kitchen yesterday from 11am to 11pm. I still do 16,000 steps a day during openings.”
The
tashas touch
Step into any tashas and the details immediately stand out, from the lighting, the art and the effortless sense of ease. “tashas has always been about community, and community also means family. It’s warm, welcoming, comforting. We’ve always said it’s like putting your feet up
The same philosophy shapes the menu. Her favourite is the parmesan couscous chicken breast, a wholesome mix of tenderstem broccoli, goat’s cheese, and fennel that nods to her Greek roots. She also has a soft spot for her brother’s creamy chicken pasta with mushrooms, the bestselling comfort dish on the menu.
No shortcuts, no secrets
What has kept tashas relevant for 20 years? “We do the basics really well. Great ingredients, made fresh, served with warmth. You can’t beat that.”
Her Abu Dhabi branch is the busiest in the group, but she is far from slowing down. With openings in Riyadh, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain, Sideris is busier than ever.
Does she ever rest? “When I’m working, I don’t. But when I’m on holiday, I switch off completely. No phone. For the most part, I like to be in nature. I swim, I relax.”
“The UAE is the land of opportunity. It’s become home. There is a warmth and generosity with the people here.
Abu Dhabi is our busiest Tashas and the Flamingo Room is perfect for an intimate dinner,” she says. Natasha Sideris has built more than a café brand over 20 years. She has built a home away from home, a place that feels familiar no matter where in the world you sit down for a cup of coffee.
BEACH, BEATS, BITES: BDP BEACH HITS THE SHORES OF HAYAT ISLAND

Culture, canvas and civilisations: Your guide to Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival 2026
Transforming Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village into a living canvas, this year’s festival is a thought-provoking mix of exhibitions, collaborations and heritage tours
A festival with a heritage twist
Set against the evocative backdrop of the historic pearl-fishing village of Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village, history, culture and creativity collide for several weeks of curated experiences that bring people together at this storied seaside spot once more. Once a bustling maritime hub, the coral-trussed alleyways and traditional homes now provide a textured canvas for contemporary creativity.
In recent editions, the event has grown from a modest local art gathering into a regional highlight: over 40,000 visitors attended the 2025 edition, which showcased 190 artworks by more than 100 artists from 31 nationalities.
The 2026 theme: Civilisations
For 2026, the theme is “Civilisations,” a richly layered invitation to explore the evolution of human culture, from ancient trade routes to digital-era narratives. As per organisers, the festival ‘seeks to celebrate both the magnificent diversity of human cultural expression and the universal aspirations that bind us together.’ Through creative, multidisciplinary programming, it looks to question and consider the impact of evolving civilisations, what happens when they meet, merge and fall away. While full details of the programming remain under wraps, visitors can expect major exhibitions, immersive installations, film screenings and cross-cultural performances, all framed in dialogue with place, history and transformation.
What to look out for
Outdoor large-scale installations: With the village’s lanes and historic architecture as a stage, expect pieces that respond to heritage, resilience and cultural layering. Film & multimedia programme: From documentaries to narrative pieces aligned with the theme, the 2026 festival will feature a collection of video art and screenings.
Workshops & education: True to its inclusive spirit (“Art is for Everyone”), the festival offers student categories, masterclasses and communityengagement programmes.
Contemporary art exhibition: Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the Ras Al Khaimah Art Contemporary Art Exhibition returns as a bi-annual celebration of cutting-edge creativity and global artistic exchange. Showcasing original works by a curated selection of international artists, the fair
offers a dynamic platform for collectors, curators, and art lovers to discover new voices and bold visions from across the world.
Heritage tours: Don’t just walk in, wander the alleyways of Al Jazeera Al Hamra as part of a guided tour, and let the architecture, the sea breeze and the desert horizon inform your encounter with the art. Gastronomic experiences: Bridging the gap between art and culinary, an array of gastronomic experiences will form part of the 2026 programming, bringing people together over tables of gastronomy and conversation.
Why go
This isn’t just another art fair. What sets Ras Al Khaimah Art apart is its mix of location, heritage and creativity. For visitors, it offers not only the chance to see cutting-edge works alongside tradition, but also the rare pleasure of experiencing art in a setting where time seems layered: ancient coral-stone houses meet video projections and sculptural light installations.
OUR TOP TIPS
Allocate at least half a day (if not a full day) to explore: the heritage village maze plus the various art zones deserve time.
Evening visits are recommended: many installations are lit and there’s a more relaxed feel as daytourists depart.
Don’t just view, engage: check workshop listings, family-friendly zones, talks and pop-up events.
Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon
Mark your calendars, marathon runners: the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon returns on Saturday, February 14. The Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon takes runners on a scenic 21.1km route across Al Marjan Island, and has earned its reputation as one of the fastest road half-marathons in the world thanks to its flat profile and elite field, making it a magnet for top runners chasing personal bests and records. But even for those not gunning for gold, the energy is still electric, with a lively finish-village atmosphere and the chance to run alongside more than 10,000 participants from all around the globe. Even if you’re not marathon-ready, there are shorter routes to push your pace. A 10km route takes you on two loops from the Rixos Bab Al Bahr, up past the Hampton by Hilton and back again, while a 5km run is just one loop of the same picturesque route. There’s even a 2km fun run, open to all ages, ideal for getting the whole family active.

STEP INTO ADVENTURE
Swap city streets for mountain peaks with these trails, whether you’re new to the climb or a seasoned stepper
Jebel Qada’ah
Located in the Northern Emirates within the Musandam mountain range, Jebel Qada’ah is home to the UAE’s second-highest peak. There are two routes here: one moderate and one more challenging, both offering incredible views across the mountains. To find the starting point, search for ‘Jebel Qada’ah route 1’ or ‘Jebel Qada’ah route 2’ on Google Maps.
Insider tip: Look out for the Secret Staircase, carved into the rocks by local goat herders – it’s one of the mountain’s hidden gems.
Al Rabi Mountain Trail
Overlooking Khorfakkan town on Sharjah’s East Coast, Al Rabi Mountain Trail is a favourite for sunrise hikes. The 6km trail takes about three hours to complete at a moderate pace and is well marked, though it can get steep in parts, so be sure to go with a buddy. The views of the Hajar Mountains and Khorfakkan’s coastline make the climb worth it. There is limited parking at Al Rabi Tower, but you can park in the long-term area at the bottom of the hill and walk up.
Insider tip: If you don’t fancy going it alone, ECC Adventures offers guided hikes on the Al Rabi trail once per month. The next one is December 10, and can be booked via eccadventures.com
Hatta Mountain Trails
Surrounded by the rugged Hajar Mountains, Hatta is a favourite for outdoor lovers and offers a mix of sandy tracks and rocky climbs. The trails wind through scenic wadis near the Oman border, giving hikers a chance to experience Dubai’s largest national park up close. The area has over 32 kilometres of trails spread across five routes, each graded by difficulty, so there’s something for everyone. It’s the perfect place to combine adventure with a bit of peace in nature.
Insider tip: Make a weekend of it by checking-in to one of the glamping options, from retro caravans to rusticluxe lodges. And be sure to snap a pic by the Hollywood-esque Hatta sign.
Al Rabi Mountain Trail
Jebel Jais
The views don’t get much more breathtaking than those from Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak. Here in the heart of the Hajar Mountains are rewarding routes for all abilities, with the trails divided into three primary zones, each offering unique terrain and varying levels of difficulty. The Zone A, low-elevation segment trails range from 1.2km to 6km in length, Zone B’s mid-elevation trails are more moderate hikes, while Zone C’s upper segment trails are reserved for experienced hikers, exploring the highest ridgelines and most dramatic elevations of Jebel Jais.
Insider tip: You can view and download all the maps ahead of time from visitjebeljais.com – especially important if you’re a beginner.
With its heady mix of natural beauty, accessibility, and variety, Wadi Shawka is one of the most popular hiking spots in the UAE. The terrain ranges from rocky mountain trails to gentle wadis and lush pools formed after rainfall, giving hikers a sense of real wilderness without straying too far from the city. You can start your hike from the Shawka Dam and either take the stairs directly to the summit or follow one of the trails that are clearly marked from the small parking area. The paths are safe for families and easy to follow, with plenty of spots for scenic photos along the way. It’s also dog-friendly, but make sure to keep your pets on a leash.
Insider tip: Shawka Dam is one of the prettiest spots in this part of the country, so take a picnic and reward yourself after the hike with all your favourite treats.

ARE 5 TOP TIPS
■ Start small
Begin with shorter, well-marked trails, like Wadi Shawka or Jebel Hafeet foothills, before tackling tougher routes.
■
Hydrate (and then some more)
The UAE’s climate can be deceiving even in cooler months. Always carry more water than you think you’ll need.
■
Time it right
Start early, avoid midday heat and plan to be off the trail by late morning. Always check the weather forecast.
■
Gear up
You don’t need fancy equipment, but sturdy trail shoes with grip, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small backpack are essential.
■ Safety first
Download offline maps or use apps like AllTrails or Wikiloc. Stick to marked paths, and let someone know your route and expected return time.

VIVALas Vegas
Here’s how to dive headfirst into Sin City
WORDS: LAURA COUGHLIN
If ever there were a twin city to Dubai, it’s Las Vegas –two desert metropolises that traded sand for spectacle and built playgrounds from pure ambition. Both glow brightest after dark, and both make you question what’s real and what’s just really well-lit.
Las Vegas is built on escape. It’s a shimmering mirage that’s mastered the art of distraction, a place that urges you to hit pause on reality and live entirely in the now. For decades, the city’s promise has been simple and irresistible: come here, lose yourself, and maybe a little of your dignity. The slogan may have evolved from “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” to “What Happens Here, Only Happens Here,” but the mission remains the same, to make sure you experience something that can’t quite happen anywhere else.
And somehow, in a world where everything is available at your fingertips, Vegas still feels unique. It’s brash and wonderfully surreal, a city that thrives on spectacle. From billion-dollar domes to neon backstreets, from bottomless brunches to drive-thru weddings, it’s a high-definition dreamscape where the absurd and the amazing coexist happily.
So, whether you’re here to max out your camera roll or credit card, these are the six things you absolutely must do on your first trip to Las Vegas, the ones that define the city’s spirit of all-out, unapologetic fun.
1. STEP INSIDE THE SPHERE
Location: The Strip
You’ll see it before your plane even lands, a glowing, 366-foot orb that pulses with light like the world’s biggest mood ring. The Sphere is Vegas’ newest obsession, a $2.3 billion venue that’s part concert hall, part alien spaceship. Inside, 270 degrees of visuals wrap around the audience in dizzying high-definition, while sound travels through vibrating seats for a fully immersive experience. The Sphere has already hosted icons like U2, Phish, and Dead & Company, and its calendar is only getting bolder. Even Delta Airlines is using it for CES keynotes, because in Vegas, even corporate presentations come with pyrotechnics. It’s the future of live entertainment, and it happens to live right on the Strip.
2. EAT YOUR WAY THROUGH THE WYNN BUFFET
Location: Wynn Las Vegas
3. DARE TO WANDER DOWN FREEMONT STREET
Location: Downtown Las Vegas
There are two kinds of Vegas visitors – Strip people and Fremont people. The first group chases bottle service and curates perfection; the second dives headfirst into the city’s weird, wonderful underbelly. Fremont Street is old-school Vegas turned up to eleven. It’s where neon signs, street performers, vintage casinos, and the world’s largest LED canopy collide in glorious chaos. Locals love it because it feels real. Grab a cheap beer, zipline under a ceiling of flashing lights, and remember why Vegas became legendary in the first place.
Vegas practically invented the buffet, and the one at Wynn is its crown jewel. Forget soggy eggs and carving stations, this is a global food parade where lobster Benedicts and red velvet chocolate chip pancakes share the stage with pizza, tamales, and barbecue ribs. Sixteen stations, endless plates, and an “Endless Pours” upgrade that keeps the mimosas flowing. Enter through an avenue lined with royal palms and prepare for sensory overload.

4. CRASH A DRIVETHRU WEDDING
Location: The Little White Wedding Chapel, Downtown
Vegas weddings are an institution. The Little White Wedding Chapel has married everyone from Britney Spears to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. It’s also the birthplace of the 24-hour drive-thru wedding window, a happy accident that started when a groom in a wheelchair couldn’t make it inside. You don’t need to be tying the knot to enjoy the spectacle. Park nearby and watch as couples roll up in pink Cadillacs for their five-minute “I dos.” It’s utterly Vegas – where love, like everything else, comes with a side of showmanship.
5. SEE THE BELLAGIO FOUNTAINS
Location: The Strip
It’s impossible to overstate the drama of the Bellagio Fountains, a perfectly choreographed water ballet set to Sinatra, Gaga, and whatever else the hotel decides to blast that hour. Every 15 to 30 minutes, the fountains leap, twist, and shimmer in perfect time with the music, sending tourists scrambling for the best selfie angle. It’s touristy, but you’ll find it fun regardless.
6. LEAVE THE CITY AND TAKE THE GRAND CANYON MULE TOUR
Location: Book through Xanterra
When you’re ready to detox from neon and noise, a mule ride through the Grand Canyon is the ultimate reality reset. The sure-footed mules wind along cliffside trails that have changed little in centuries, ending at Phantom Ranch by Bright Angel Creek. It’s physically demanding and reviews mention “occasionally terrifying”, but that’s the point. After days of air-conditioned indulgence, this is Vegas’ wild counterpart: nature’s version of a high-stakes adventure.

WHERE TO STAY
WYNN LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas has never been short on spectacle, but Wynn plays in a league of its own, where indulgence comes dressed in impeccable taste. Opened in 2005 and still one of the Strip’s crown jewels, Wynn Las Vegas is the epitome of a casino resort: less carnival, more couture.
Inside, the design is classic Wynn. Grand and playful. Sunlight filters through glass ceilings, florals tumble across mosaic floors, and every corridor feels carefully curated. The interiors are a masterclass in hospitality theatre, orchestrated to make guests feel cocooned and dazzled at once. From the perfumed air to the hushed efficiency of the staff, every detail creates a seamless, soft-focus reality.
Rooms are spacious, and soundproofed from the Strip’s frenzy below. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame either the neon sprawl or the serene Wynn Golf Club, the only 18-hole championship course on Las Vegas Boulevard. Beds are cloud-soft, marble bathrooms gleam, and automation lets guests adjust everything from drapes to lighting with a touch. It’s the Vegas fantasy and meticulously maintained.
Meanwhile, dining here is its own universe. The Buffet at Wynn is a kaleidoscopic sprawl of global flavours that turns the humble all-you-can-eat concept into a high-gloss performance. Delilah, a glittering 1950s-inspired supper club, serves live jazz, martinis, and prime rib under gilded chandeliers, and Mizumi offers artful Japanese dishes beside a koifilled lagoon.
Wynn’s wellness scene is quietly exceptional, too. The spa bathes in whispered luxury, blending Eastern
philosophies with modern techniques. Pool decks are lush and secluded and the shopping arcade features Chanel and Hermès. You literally never have to leave the resort. Most never do.
By night, Wynn transforms again. The Lake of Dreams, a 40-foot waterfall backed by LED artistry, a singing frog and surreal projections, becomes the hypnotic heart of the resort. Whether sipping champagne at Parasol Down or watching from the terrace, it’s an orchestrated spectacle of awe.
And soon, this signature glamour travels east. Residents of the UAE will have the chance to experience Wynn’s ethos closer to home when Wynn Al Marjan Island opens in spring 2027, a taste of Vegas luxury for the Arabian Gulf. Aren’t we lucky?

Al Zorah Beach Resort
A serene retreat undergoing an exciting transformation promises relaxation and rejuvenation
SET THE SCENE
Change is afoot on the sleepy Al Zorah shorefront. The luxury resort once known as The Oberoi has been taken over by Four Seasons, and will be reimagined into the Four Seasons Ajman at Al Zorah in 2026. In the interim, it’s simply known as Al Zorah Beach Resort, while hospitality heavyweights Four Seasons inject their signature five-star service and reimagine the culinary and wellness offering.
THE LOCATION
In under an hour, we’ve left Dubai’s soaring skyscrapers for Al Zorah’s verdant, low-lying landscape, a welcome serenity oozes from the Al Zorah Beach Resort from the second you pull up at the valet. It’s close enough to the city to be convenient, but far enough away to feel like you’re on holiday.
THE DESIGN
The lush landscaping gives Al Zorah Beach Resort a tropical feel, with swaying palms and bushy trees offering seclusion, privacy and a welcome immersion into nature.
The contemporary, modern aesthetic runs from the lobby, flooded with natural light
and expanding out onto shallow pools, right through to guest rooms, villas, and the duo of signature restaurants.
THE ROOM
Our Premier Ocean View Room was light and spacious, and welcome amenities of fresh fruit and sweet macaroons were a lovely touch. We sank effortlessly into plump feather pillows after a day of shorefront relaxation, and the crisp sheets and springy mattress offered one of the best night’s sleep we’d had in ages. A generous bathroom featured a huge walkin shower and sumptuous free-standing tub, plus fragrant Le Labo amenities. The first floor balcony facing over the pool and towards the sea offered blissful alfresco serenity, the sound of chirping birds providing our morning wake-up call.
THE ACTIVITIES
A stretching swimming pool is a standout feature, perfectly chilled and lined with sun loungers and shaded cabanas. Pro tip: arrive in good time, as these quickly fill
up during busy periods. The property will benefit from an adults-only pool (part of Four Seasons’ forthcoming enhancements) for those looking to truly switch-off, as families fill the current poolside. At the spa, a pampering massage using fragrant ALQVIMIA oils is relaxing – the therapist using just the right amount of pressure to work out any tension. Those looking to up the ante with activities can enjoy watersports from the beach, or perfect their swing on the adjacent 18-hole Al Zorah Golf Course.
THE FOOD AND DRINK
Breakfast at Vinesse provides a simple but well-stocked continental buffet, complemented by an extensive a la carte menu where eggs a dozen ways, staple sweet treats and international dishes can be ordered as you like. Dinner is best enjoyed by the sea at Aquario. Order from the seafood bar to sample locally caught delicacies, like tiger prawns simply drizzled in chilli butter – a standout dish during our stay.
THE FINAL SAY
A welcome antidote to busy city life, Al Zorah Beach Resort is an oasis of calm where local flavour and natural beauty make for a thoughtful stay.
WHAT’S ON THE BILL
A one-night stay for two starts from Dhs1,650 room only, or Dhs1,800 with breakfast. Al Zorah Beach Resort’s expansive collection of villas, which range from one to three bedrooms and are ideal for group getaways, start from Dhs4,200.
