Advantage program puts customers in the driver’s seat at Sherwood The internet has made every car buyer a well informed consumer. After all, a new vehicles is often the second biggest investment a person will make in their lifetime, with their home being the largest. Websites like KellyBlueBook.com offer a variety of information to prepare consumers for a visit to the showroom: estimated costs for new vehicles, a range of values for a customer’s tradein, as well as fair market estimates for pre-owned cars in a variety of conditions, from fair to good to excellent. Plus loan calculators to approximate monthly payments. It’s all very scientific and up-front, often putting the consumer on an equal footing with the dealer. However, consumers often overlook one very important consideration: namely, the cost to maintain their vehicle. After all, one can expect to keep a vehicle four to five years, with the national average being 10 years. Rogers explains that the program also includes bonus points for referrals to other customers which are valid toward purchase of items in the Sherwood parts and service departments. they were driving along a road, they spotted a 1941 Mercury sitting in a field. Since the Chevy did not have a heater they asked if they could buy the one from the Mercury and they installed it in the Chevy. Aside from the power brakes and new electrical system, the heater is the only non-original piece of equipment in the truck. Micciche routinely drives the truck and even makes dump runs with it from time to time. “When I bring it to the dump with bags of trash in the back invariably someone will chastise me for subjecting such a beautiful truck to such a menial job. I just laugh and drive away. After all, it’s just a truck!”

Dec. 31, 2010 and I immediately began working on the truck.” The truck was in surprisingly good shape. “There were a few dings here and there,” said Micciche, “but no real rust or missing parts. It took me two years to strip the truck down to its chassis and remove the original paint.
