Frisco's Toyota Stadium
SLATED TO UNDERGO $182 MILLION DOLLAR RENOVATION
The Frisco City Council has approved a $182 million public-private partnership with FC Dallas to renovate Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Set to begin in 2025, the renovation aims to transform the Major League Soccer venue— one of the league's oldest soccer-specific stadiums—by introducing innovative designs, state-of-the-art audio/visual technology, and a range of fan-centric amenities. Since 2005, the stadium has also served as the home for Frisco ISD athletic events.
The renovation will feature three new premium clubs, updated north, east, and west entrances, and a striking roof structure designed to provide shade for guests throughout the stadium. Construction will be carried out in phases, starting with the east side of the venue after the FCS Championship game. While work is underway, the west side of the stadium will remain operational during the 2025 MLS season, allowing FC Dallas to continue hosting MLS matches at Toyota Stadium throughout the renovation.
FC Dallas has partnered with HKS Architects and Manhattan Construction Group on this project. Construction will begin on the east side of the stadium in the first quarter of this year and will reopen in the summer of 2026 when construction on the west side of the stadium commences. The entire stadium is due to reopen in the first quarter of 2028.

• Upgraded Media Facilities: A new press box and media suites will include advanced technology for enhanced broadcasting capabilities.
• Improved Accessibility: Enhanced mobility features will better serve guests with physical differences.
• Expanded Restrooms: A 26% increase in restroom facilities will offer greater convenience for visitors.
• Field Enhancements: The field will feature a new drainage system for faster water removal.
• Largest Video Board in MLS: A proposed 6,000-squarefoot video board will be the largest for a soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer.

Frisco's Northwest Community Park
COMING SPRING 2026
The Frisco City Council approved a $34.21 million construction contract for Northwest Community Park during their November meeting, advancing the long-awaited project after years of planning. Construction has now begun on the 18-month project, which will include looping bike trails, an observation deck, and play areas.
Located just north of Lone Star High School, the park's site was originally purchased for sports fields, according to Mayor Jeff Cheney. However, a “temporary” hike-and-bike trail built on the property in 2012 became a permanent feature, shaping the park’s ultimate design, Cheney explained.
Frisco officials considered three bids before awarding the contract to Millis Development and Construction-Dallas, LLC, for $33.36 million, along with an $850,000 contingency fee. Additionally, a $3.45 million contract was approved for a specialized bike facility contractor.
With plans for playground equipment costing $1.47 million and nearly $350,000 allocated for public art, the total investment in the park approaches $40 million.
