From a generation of imitating major fashion trends, we are shifting towards more individualistic expressions. Communities have become more accepting of personal values, and diverse identities than before. We believe inclusivity is at the heart of this new shift.
Due to various conflict endures, we have evolved, becoming more aware of the inequalities and discrimination hidden within our daily lives. Given this new outlook on life, what kind of society should humanity aspire to create? Should it be an inclusive society that celebrates culture, values, and appearances without marginalization?
2
Building on the foundations of our current society, we must innovate and manifest a new era of inclusive norms.
Through our upcoming collections, we will advocate for an inclusive society through knitwear.
Exclusivity has long been a driving force in fashion, built upon luxury, material value, and scarcity. Can fashion truly express inclusivity when it is driven by opposing concepts?
We believe this is a significant challenge for the future of fashion.
3
Our first approach to tackle this challenge is by taking inspiration from ìMolding and Casting.î
By embodying a world where anything and anyone is accepted, we refer to craftsmanship.
Allowing the essence to melt, mold, and reshape into a new form, we suggest a new perspective to an existing material. Through the manipulation of materials, we attempt to revalue and nurture new appreciation.
This is the vision behind our MONTELUCE 2025-2026 AW collection.

YARN STORY
The begining of our hidden story
In a world overflowing with things, it is easy to fall into the illusion that anything can be obtained effortlessly. However, when you take a moment to focus on each step of the creation process, you realize it is filled with various elements, including the thoughts and feelings of those who crafted it. This extensive process- where raw material is spun to yarn, then knitted into a fabric, and shaped into a garment, is such an intense process. Isnʼt there something mysterious and spiritual about this journey?
The potential of a yarn is endless, it can be shaped into any form. In hindsight, this is just one yarn, but there is a hidden story tangled behind it.

FINE WOOL 70% BULKY ACRYLIC 30%
When we hear about knit, we think about wool. As a standard for knitwear, BALLOON is MONTELUCEʼs take on wool, upgraded. While wool is known for its desirable qualities like a thick, textured feel and the ability to showcase cable patterns with depth. Such sweaters often end up being quite heavy. However, BALLOON blends wool with a bulky acrylic, creating a material that retains the fullness and texture of traditional wool but is significantly lighter. This is one of the unique innovations we have developed to maximize the beautiful characteristics of wool.

For this collection, we introduce LANAPLAX- an Extra Fine wool combined with a sustainable material PlaXô. PlaXô is a plant-derived, polylactide (PLA) bioplastic that is biodegradable and carbon neutral. Additionally, Bioworks Inc. has developed a plant-based additive to enhance durability and heat resistance, addressing its previous limitations.

To prevent overstretching, this sweater is knitted in a milano rib structure. Typically, thin yarns are used to knit clean, high-gauge surfaces, but by intentionally knitting at 7 gauge with looser stitches, the areas with more threads create larger stitches while areas with fewer threads create smaller stitches. This variation results in a sheer effect in the larger stitch areas. This time we used this technique for PATIO and BUMPY WOOL. PATIO is an alpaca and polyester blend with a soft appearance. BUMPY WOOL is a wool polyester with a dry touch.

WATER-REPELLING VEST
25
A vest made using our water-repelling knitting yarn. Regular fabrics with water-resisting qualities tend to be heavy and thick. However, with knit, we can achieve lightweight and soft textiles. By adding this water-resisting treatment to yarn, we can utilize the elasticity unique to knitted textiles. This Half Cardigan stitch with Proof Plus Eco Alpha has been roller-compressed for increased water repellency. With consideration to style, an inner down-sheet is used for a neat padding evenness without stabilizing stitches.
