WATER FRONT CULTURAL REJUVENATION - COPENHAGEN. WATER-FRONT CULTURAL HOT SPOT COPENHAGEN Whilst on ERASMUS at KEA, Copenhagen. As apart of an international team of students we were given this project in how to develop one of the capitol’s existing predominant landmarks. With a freshly poposed Landscaping Scheme that would be used by all to the area. Aiding in the regeneration of the Oprah House area along the Copenhagen’s waterfront and increasing its overall zone of Cultural & Artistic influences. OUR AIM: Our aim was to create a hotspot for the arts & culture community. That would overlook the main waterfront & the Ameilenborg palace. Blending the free-spirt of Christiania to the east of the site with the more traditional & professional values of the Operatic & Royal societies to the west. Thus helping to bridge a creative-gap that allowed flexible areas for students, small dramatization groups & upcoming artists. To be able to exhibit & portray their work in an environment that would be made available for everyone, all year around. OUR MISSION: To create a social gathering hot-spot that bridges the varied forms of creativity, That are so visually shown in Christiana through to the harbour’s traditionalist waterfront & further onwards to the inner-city area.
