Catholic. Marianist. Forming our Students into Remarkable Men.
As a Catholic, Marianist, all-male high school, we are passionate about educating and forming young men. We are not just a school of boys; we are a school for boys. Our educational philosophy of REALearning–Relational. Experiential. Authentic Learning is based upon the research and best practices known for young men to thrive.
Our teaching faculty serve as mentor group teachers in our nationally recognized House System. This relational cornerstone ensures that every student is known and loved.
Our teaching faculty collaborate to develop experiential, project-based learning courses through our week-long MoeTerm. No grades; no assessments. A dedicated time to ignite student curiosity about themselves and the community in which they live.
“It has been a joy and a blessing to be a teacher at Moeller, as I have had the opportunity to pursue so many passion areas - from creating new innovative finance courses from scratch that strengthen the critical thinking and quantitative skills of my students, to introducing engaging case studies that mirror real-world business applications, and launching a studentrun investment fund. As a dean of the house system, I have connected with my students beyond the classroom in supporting their academic, social, and spiritual growth, while building a community of spirit and camaraderie.”

Archbishop Moeller is an all-male, Catholic high school (grades 9-12) located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded by the Marianist order of Priests and Brothers over 60 years ago, Moeller is a Catholic high school in the Marianist tradition. Moeller strives to educate all students, regardless of ability, in Mind, Body, and Spirit within a Community of Brothers. Moeller is nationally recognized for its House System and continues to be a leader in the integration of technology, celebrating over 20 years as a one-to-one tablet school. Moeller offers a comprehensive, college preparatory curriculum which includes over 30 Advanced Placement/College Credit Plus courses, as well as innovative courses in visual and performing arts, world language, business, and information technology.
Archbishop Moeller High School has a rich history–educating over 14,000 young men in the Cincinnati community. Although the ethos of a Moeller education–the Moeller Family environment–remains foundational to our young men’s learning environment, we continually reflect upon and adapt our practices based on emerging neuroeducational research and actionbased research on how young men learn best.
Based on our evaluation of the research and decades of experience forming students into remarkable men, we developed our REALearning model–Relational. Experiential. Authentic.
How young men learn and the environment they need to thrive is at the forefront of every decision we make as an administration and faculty. We joined the International Boys School Coalition (IBSC) in 2019. All faculty participate in a book study on Reaching Boys, Teaching Boys, and our departmental Professional Learning Communities engage in critical discussions on curriculum design in light of the research on how young men learn best.
We are intentional in how we teach and form young men; we teach how young men learn best.
