What is Your

PERSONAL BRAND?

When people hear your name, what comes to mind?

It’s a powerful question—and one that deserves your attention. Whether you realize it or not, you have a personal brand. It’s not your logo or tagline. It’s the experience people have with you. It’s your reputation. It’s what people say about you when you’re not in the room.

Your brand is being built every day through your actions, your words, your tone, your reliability—or lack of it. It’s shaped not just in your professional life but in your personal life as well. What do your family and friends say about you? What do your clients and colleagues really think when your name is mentioned?

Are you seen as someone who is dependable and keeps your word? Do you return phone calls promptly? Do you follow through on what you say you’re going to do? Do you answer your emails or ghost people when you don’t feel like dealing with them?

These may seem like small things, but they matter. Great branding isn’t about flashy marketing—it’s about consistency.

Are you consistent in how you show up—in person, online, and when no one’s watching?

More importantly, is your life all about you, or are you known for helping and serving others? A personal brand that’s built on self-centeredness may bring temporary success, but it won’t stand the test of time. On the other hand, when your brand is rooted in humility, integrity, and service, you become someone people want to work with, trust, and refer.

Your personal brand isn’t something you create overnight. It’s the cumulative result of choices made daily—how you treat your family, your clients, your peers, and even strangers. It’s reflected in how you respond when things go wrong and how you behave when you think no one is paying attention.

So take a moment today to reflect: What do you want your personal brand to be? Not in theory—but in real, everyday action.

Your brand is already speaking for you. Make sure it’s telling the story you want the world to hear.

JESSICA

Jones

Every day is a

New Beginning!

Jessica Jones is no stranger to chaos and challenges. She believes every day is an adventure.

Born in Hawaii, her military family moved to several locations until they settled in Alabama, where her grandparents lived. Both her parents served in the Navy, and both taught her valuable life lessons.

“My Dad is a carpenter and has worked in construction my whole life,” she said. “My Mom owned her own business, so both of them just really instilled that work ethic - you gotta work to eat mentality.”

Growing up, Jones worked in her grandmother’s shop in downtown Fairhope which eventually became her mother’s shop.

“The Picture Show was a great little shop that sold trinkets and charm bracelets. Then when my mom bought it, she added candles and home décor. Both my mom and grandmother were very outgoing people, so I remember sitting back and watching them interact with customers and the way they treated each person who came into the shop.”

Jessica explored several career changes before finding her true calling in the real estate industry.

“When I think of all the different jobs I held, I still interact with a lot of those people and how some of those jobs relate in real estate,” she added. “You greet people, find out what they are looking for and what they need and then you help them get it. I do think they were all great steppingstones for what I do now.”

She started in real estate four years ago and felt perfectly suited to being a Realtor.

“My family was in construction, so I’ve visited others homes all my life,” she explained. “It’s where I am comfortable and now working for the largest home builder is so fitting. With my dad in construction, I understand that things can happen, and I try to prepare buyers for any scenario. A new home is an exciting journey, but I also like to be realistic, so they know what they are getting into and that I am with them every step of the way.”

I’m starting to think

I thrive in chaos.

Working for a builder is not for the weak, but I’ve had an incredible support system of fellow agents here. We cheer each other on.”

Jones is a New Home Specialist for the North Baldwin Division for D.R. Horton, serving Spanish Fort to Silverhill.

When Jones started in real estate, she worked with JPAR but moved to D.R. Horton in 2023 after some friends talked her into applying.

“I liked the brokerage I was at, but I needed to change,” said Jones. “I had friends who worked mainly in the office at Horton. They had all been there for a long time and said it was a great company. They knew I was looking for something different and one of my previous colleagues from JPAR said Horton was hiring more sales agents and said I should try to get in. Funny, I did not get the job at first. A week later, I called and asked what I could improve, and they had me back in and said they would give me a chance. I had a little fire in me and went on to close 63 homes my first year. (our fiscal year).”

Jones said her favorite part of the job is having an adventure every day.

“I tell myself that every day is a new beginning, and I TRY not to stress about things not in my control. I enjoy not knowing who you are going to meet next and how I will be able to find them a home for this part of their lives,” she said. “I’m starting to think I thrive in chaos. Working for a builder is not for the weak, but I’ve had an incredible support system of fellow agents here. We cheer each other on.”

I started at Horton when the Truland acquisition happened, and love that

we have so many amazing products to offer buyers. We have a range of Gold fortified homes starting from townhomes to 3,000 square-foot Truland Homes. The D.R. Horton motto is ‘homes for every stage of life,’ and I truly think we back that.”

Another aspect of her previous work included knowing your competition and what they are offering.

“I also believe in knowing your competitors and building a network around you. Knowing what another business sells and what they offer is not only strategic, but can be helpful. I even like being able

to refer people (if that’s what’s best for them) and that helps build a trust with outside agents and buyers, so they know I am here and honest with the information I have and that is so valuable.”

She said while the Gulf Coast area is growing, she feels it’s still maintained its small-town charm.

“I am all about new people moving to our area,” she explained. “I think it’s great when new people move here and bring a more diverse environment, and I think we all could benefit from that in our lives.”

Jones has two sons, Keller and Everett. Keller is 18 and is attending college studying nursing, while Everett just started third grade.

“They are total opposites, and I love that,” she said. “Keller has always been the jock. He played football and baseball, and my youngest son thinks he is the coolest. Everett is the complete opposite and loves You Tube and has started his own science channel. They have bonded over a love for Marvel and Legos. My favorite thing is listening to them laughing together, but sometimes that doesn’t last long. They are boys.”

When she is not working, Jones said she loves spending time with her children and doing some kind of mental health maintenance, whether it be margaritas at her favorite spot or walking or yoga in downtown Daphne. “I think us realtors are always in the habit of putting others needs and wants first, whether it be family or clients, and time to yourself to reset is so important,” she added.

She also enjoys thrifting, snorkeling, traveling, going to concerts and listening to live music, or a casual night at home playing board games. “I love this area and the fact that we are so close to the beach, multiple airports to take us to far away locations. We live at an arm’s length of so many cool places, but I still love coming home to Daphne and our community. It’s home to me.”

GOODWIN WILL

GMFS Mortgage

When asking Will Goodwin about GMFS Mortgage, he says it’s easy to talk about being in the mortgage industry, but he says most people want to get to know the person behind the business.

About Will Goodwin

Goodwin has worked in the mortgage industry for more than eight years having started while a student at LSU.

I was working at Baton Rouge Country Club,” said Goodwin. “The CEO of our company, Tee Brown, is an avid golfer there. After grabbing golf clubs for him for a year or two he walked up to me and asked if I wanted to be a mortgage lender. With nothing else on the horizon (and not knowing what in the world was a mortgage), I happily accepted.”

Fully immersing himself in the industry, Godwin realized he had a knack for it.

“I became licensed in the fall of 2017. When they hired me, my first week was spent going through a stack of settlement statements making sure we disclosed appraisal fees correctly. Oh, how far I’ve come! From 2017 to late spring 2020 I worked on a team at our home office in Baton Rouge. Since branching out on my own I have funded over $100M in just 5 years.”

About GMFS Mortgage

Established in 1999 in Baton Rouge, La., GMFS Mortgage is licensed in more than 12 states with locations in Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina. With more than 200 employees and 14 locations, GMFS Mortgage offers its clients residential mortgage programs.

In Alabama, the company has two locations – Mobile and Fairhope – who work closely together to service the Gulf Coast area.

employees total, so we are hoping to grow our presence here in Baldwin County.”

GMFS Mortgage specializes in all aspects of residential mortgages, and Goodwin is the branch manager for the Fairhope office, located at 323 De La Mare Avenue Suite 8 in Fairhope.

“We have one loan processor and one loan officer assistant here in the Mobile / Baldwin County Market and the panhandle of Florida,” said Goodwin. “Overall, our company has 250+

The Move to Alabama

From Bossier City, LA, Goodwin graduated from LSU with a marketing degree with a focus in sales. His work with GMFS was thriving but so was his wife’s career with Aldi. Then came the move to Alabama.

“My wife (Sarah Beth) was sent to Mobile to kickstart her company’s opening stores in Mobile, so the question came to us to where should we move?” explained Goodwin. “We decided on Mobile to try it out and we love it here. My wife and I strengthened our marriage here. I came closer to The Lord here. I have played a lot of great golf here and made many wonderful new friends here.

I had never truly been away from home when I moved to Mobile. I knew a total of three people when I moved here, one of which was my wife. It was daunting, but we embraced it. Moving here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I am forever grateful that this place has taken me in as one of its own.”

“I’ve gone through this twice. Initially being in Baton Rouge, a tiny little minnow in a pond full of sharks, I was truly scraping from the bottom of the barrel. But I worked on those deals and climbed my way up.”

Learning and Growing Goodwin said what has helped him become an expert in the mortgage industry is learning from his mistakes early on.

“When you start out in this business you take any deal you can get,” he explained. “I’ve gone through this twice. Initially being in Baton Rouge, a tiny little minnow in a pond full of sharks, I was truly scraping from the bottom of the barrel. But I worked on those deals and climbed my way up.

Then, just as I hit my stride, Sarah Beth and I decided to plant our roots in Mobile. So, starting from the bottom yet again, I had to work on those tough transactions and show my worth in a new market.

Every deal is a new challenge, and every challenge is a learning opportunity. To be successful you must embrace the challenges and you must always be learning. Those periods of fighting to keep deals in my pipeline while working to build new relationships taught me to keep calm under pressure, knowing I will be a better loan officer once the dust settled.

This job can be stressful! It can keep you up at night. I’ve learned to trust myself and be super diligent on the front end.”

Secret to his Success Goodwin credits his background and work within the home office of GMFS Mortgage in Baton Rouge as part of his success in Alabama.

“I’ve learned from some phenomenal mentors,” he said. “GMFS Mortgage has been in business for more than 25 years and we have funded over $20 Billion in residential mortgage loans.

During my time in Baton Rouge, I was able to train under one of our top producing loan officers there, Todd Jackson. Along with that, I got to soak up all angles of our business directly from one of our founders and current Senior VP, Jeff Weston. Spending time under Jeff and Todd gave me a deep, institutional knowledge of this business, allowing me to approach each client with a diversified outlook.

Then, when we moved to Mobile in late 2022, I got to learn from our branch manager in Mobile, Neil Woodbury. Neil was a phenomenal mentor to me, often indirectly. Neil was paramount in helping me get my business off the ground here on the Gulf Coast.

I’ve had the privilege of gaining a comprehensive, 360-degree understanding of the lending world by learning from a diverse group of highly successful mortgage professionals. Whether you are purchasing your first home or building your forever mansion you will find a new friend and trusted advisor in Will Goodwin.”

Brooke Butler Brooke Butler

Butler & Co. Real Estate

Living a Great Life

Butler started in the real estate business by way of a friend who saw a Facebook post from a local brokerage. “It said they were looking for someone who fit a criterion and she said ‘this sounds like you, you should call them,’” she explained. “So, I did and jumped right in and got my license and got on a team and just went to work full time.”

Working in sales before she had kids, Butler explained she fit the

had people around. I enjoy being around other people so just making people happy and serving them makes me happy.”

Getting her Start She earned a real estate license in August of 2106, and a broker’s license just a few years ago.

“I started out on a team and then became an independent agent,” she explained. “Then I started my own team - kind of unintentionally - when I had two friends who wanted to get into real estate and asked if I would mentor them. That was the start of my own team. I wanted to be able to give back what had been given to me.

When I got into real estate, I just needed to make money, and I think a lot of agents get lost like this. Thankfully, I didn’t because my team leader and my broker were great and just poured into me all I needed to know. I felt it was my responsibility to do that for these people and so I started a team.”

criterion for the job and had a general knowledge of working with people.

She explained this by describing her large family. She is one of five children growing up and was always the nurturer, the gatherer of people and that was kind of the description of the someone they needed. “They needed someone who could hand hold if needed, be a hard worker, have an attention to detail,” she said. “Being the oldest of five kids and having a large family, we always

“When I got into real estate, I needed a full-time job,” she continued. “I think a lot of agents get lost in the first couple of years. Thankfully, I didn’t because my team leader and broker were great and just poured into me. I felt the calling to help and give these friends and agents the help and knowledge I was given. Passing it along - giving back. That’s important to me.”

Becoming a Broker

“I thought I needed to be better for my new team and one way to do that was to become a broker,” she said. “This way, I could be more knowledgeable and be of better service to them.”

With some encouragement from another broker, she said it felt natural to take the next step. She

did just that. “My team came with me, and we opened Butler & Co. on St. Patrick’s Day and it’s been the best thing so far.”

As for business, Butler says things are going well selling in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. “We are figuring it all out together,” she said. “I have an amazing set of agents and an amazing admin staff, and everyone is very supportive of each other. We all feel like family. And that is just one of our goals – to make each other feel loved and appreciated but it’s also one of our biggest goals for our clients too – they should feel like family. We don’t want them to feel like they are clients; we want them to feel like family. And hopefully what sets us

apart from other people is that’s how we treat them.”

Being a Fairhope Native Originally from and still living in Fairhope, Butler’s large family expanded once she married her husband Steve, who is also one of five children. The couple have two daughters – Mary Thomas and Abbie – and they live on the river with their three dogs who Butler says keeps them “as busy as the kids do.”

Butler describes her perfect weekend as having the whole family over to hangout on the dock and in the river. They will cookout and play games and just spend time together with all the kids and the nieces and nephews.

“It’s a lot,” she said, “but in the best possible way.”

In her spare time, Butler loves to gather with her friends and meet once a month to play Bunco and Mahjong. She loves to read and is also in a book club.

“I love to play Bunco with my Bunco girls who invited me to their group 18 years ago and we’ve been playing every month,” she said. “I love to read and am part of a book club and we also meet once a month and in three years we’ve never missed a month. That’s fun. I just love people and being around all kinds of people.”

She also enjoys spending time with her husband Steve on their

boat and going for a sunset cruise. “We love to go to the yacht club, to have dinner and just sit on the deck and catch up on our week with family and work and watch the sunset”

Living a Great Life

Butler says she enjoys her work, and she describes it as being in the best of both worlds. “It is hard to turn off, and I am never without my phone, but it also makes me proud and so happy when someone reaches out for something as small as a recommendation or something as large as selling their home of 25 years so they can move out of the country. Being able to help fills my bucket.

Knowing that people value my recommendations, my decisions, my thoughts and trust me to help them is humbling.”

It’s the best life,” she said when describing living in Fairhope. “It just is the best. When we were kids, we always thought there was something better but most people who move away come back. I just wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, and I don’t think my kids want to be anywhere else either. We don’t want for anything here. It really is perfection.”

THE GROWTH IN CHANGE

For nearly two decades, Angelina Needham has been a trusted name in real estate across the Gulf Coast. Licensed as an associate broker in both Alabama and Florida, she represents Engel & Völkers Gulf Shores and Engel & Völkers Pensacola, working from offices at The Wharf in Orange Beach and in downtown Pensacola. Her professional journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering passion for helping others—qualities that make her stand out in a competitive industry.

From Fine Wine to Fine Homes Angelina didn’t start her career in real estate. Before getting her license, she served as the wine director for one of Florida’s top 20 restaurants, where

precision and a refined palate were crucial. That eye for detail and commitment to excellence would later become hallmarks of her approach to real estate.

Her inspiration to enter the field came unexpectedly.

While living in Pensacola, she would drive past a house

every day that she dreamed of buying and flipping—a vision that was ahead of its time, before home “flipping” had become a trend. That spark led her to pursue her license in 2007, and though she never purchased that particular property, she quickly acquired another investment home nearby.

From that moment, real estate became not only her career but her calling.

Seasons of Growth

For 15 years, Angelina was part of a high-producing team that consistently ranked number one at her previous brokerage. She honed her skills by managing countless transactions in a variety of market conditions. Each client, each property, and each challenge reinforced her core belief: details matter.

“No two transactions are ever alike,” she explains. “The details can make or break a deal, and after 18 years, I’ve learned how to anticipate and address those details so that my clients have the smoothest possible experience.”

In 2024, Angelina transitioned to working as a solo agent, embracing the independence to focus even more on personalized service. While the year marked change, it also set the stage for growth as she leaned into her strengths and charted a new course for her business.

Defining Success

For Angelina, success is not measured solely by sales volume or awards, though she has earned plenty of recognition. Instead, she defines success as bringing out the best in others. Whether guiding clients through the emotional process of buying or selling a home or mentoring other professionals, her goal is to leave a lasting, positive impact.

“My love for helping and encouraging others is what drives me,” she says. “I want people to see their value

“MY LOVE FOR HELPING AND ENCOURAGING OTHERS IS WHAT DRIVES ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THEIR VALUE AND BE INSPIRED TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL.”

and be inspired to reach their potential.”

This philosophy carries through every aspect of her life, both professionally and personally. Her son, Porter, is her greatest motivation, and together they share a love for golf, outdoor adventures, and time with their black and tan coonhound, Captain.

Words That Inspire

Angelina’s approach to life is grounded in her faith and reinforced by words of wisdom she lives by. Among her favorite sayings are:

• “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.”

• “You are the sum of the five people closest to you.”

• “You will remain the same until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.”

These principles shape her daily outlook and remind her of the importance of community, growth, and choosing the right influences.

Community and Calling

Beyond her professional life, Angelina invests deeply in her community. She is an active member of Church of the Highlands, where she has led small groups for women in her home for several years and continues to serve in outreach projects. Volunteering is a natural extension of her heart for others, and it aligns with her long-term dream of starting a nonprofit organization to benefit single mothers and their children.

Looking Ahead

As she builds the next chapter of her career, Angelina has her eyes on

specialized growth. With a golf certified specialist designation, she plans to focus on golf communities and clubs across Alabama and Florida—an ideal match given her personal love for the game. She also looks forward to mentoring new agents, sharing the wisdom and perspective she has gained through nearly two decades in real estate.

“I believe Real Producers provides a wonderful platform for connection,” she says. “It’s not only about celebrating top agents but about sharing insight into what makes someone a true top producer. It’s about encouraging one another to grow.”

A Legacy of Encouragement

At the end of the day, Angelina hopes to be remembered not just as a skilled real estate professional but as someone who lifted others higher. Her career may have started with a single property dream in Pensacola, but it has blossomed into a life’s work defined by excellence, service, and encouragement.

Whether she is guiding a client through the intricate details of a transaction, cheering on her son on the golf course, or inspiring fellow agents and community members, Angelina Needham embodies the spirit of a true leader— one who sees success in helping others succeed.

Maybe the person has an amazing story that we need to tell, or perhaps someone overcame extreme obstacles, is an exceptional leader, has the best customer service, or gives back to the community in a big way. The next step is an interview with us to ensure a good fit, and then we put the wheels in motion for our writer to conduct an interview and for our photographer to schedule a photo shoot.

Q: WHAT IS THE COST TO FEATURE A REALTOR®, AGENT, OR TEAM?

A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. The feature costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-toplay model. We share real stories of Real Producers.

Q: WHO ARE THE PREFERRED PARTNERS?

A: Anyone listed as a preferred partner in the front of the magazine is a part of this community and will have an ad in every issue of the magazine, attend our quarterly events, and be a part of our online community. We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One or many of you have recommended every preferred partner you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that you have not vetted and stamped for approval, in a sense. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network for the REALTORS® and agents in the area and for the best affiliates so we can grow stronger together.

Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A PREFERRED PARTNER?

A: If you have a recommendation for a local business that works with top real estate agents, please let us know. Send an email to robert.orso@ realproducersmag.com.
