Wilkin frustrated by ‘easygoals’
Ahumbling3-0 defeatat Blyth Spartans piledfurther woeonto AFCTelford United, keeping them bottom of theNational League Northtable with thegap to safety made fractionally wider
Whilethe margin of victory wasslightly flattering to the home side, itcamedowntolack of consistent application, which frustrated managerKevin Wilk in hugely
“It’sdifficult to take at the moment,” he said.“We’renot understandinghow ruthless you need to be for90minutes of a game
“You can’tgivethe opposition easy goalsand thinkyou’regoingtocome back into it.They (Blyth)havehad chance to managethe game.”
Wilkin hasidentified the Bucks’ capacity forself-inflicted woundsbut has, as yet, been un able to stem thebleeding.
“Wehad one period against Alfreton whereweneededto manage thegame, haven’t recogniseditand gifted theopposition agoal. They become difficult afternoons then, whenyou concede such soft, easygoals
“Too many of thoseplayers don’treallyunderstandhow to manage agame, butthat’swhere we find ourselves, and when you addtothatthe lack of intensity andlackof fitnessinside thegroup, thenyou’regoing to struggle.”
