History • Construction began in October 1927. • It cost $75,000,000 • Dedicated on October 24, 1931 and opened to traffic the following day. • Named in honor of the 1st president of the united states.

About bridge • The george washington bridge is 4,760 feet long has 14 lanes 8 upper deck and 6 lower deck. • It crosses Hudson River the bridge is double decked suspension bridge. • Made out of steel its also 119 feet wide and 604 feet high.The daily traffic on the bridge is 280,718 cars.


Deaths on the bridge • About 7500 people jumped off the bridge and about 1,000 children died on the george washington bridge.


Why the bridge was made • The bridge was made to honor 1st president for all the great things he has done for the united states.


Issues making the bridge • My research did not lead me to any information about the issues that accured on the bridge.


The bridges material • The bridge is made up out of cabels and steel beams. • It is painted an aluminum color. • And it is held up by two steel towers


The upside about the bridge • The bridge is faster than taking eny other route. • Its fun to ride on something that’s apart of history.
