PHASING, REVIEWING AND FUNDING
30 Years
5 Years 10 Years 20 Years
Following the outline of proposed interventions, phasing and implementation will provide clarity with regards to the timescales at which each intervention will be carried out. Certain interventions hold characteristics which allow them to be implemented in the next 6 months, while others need the full 30-year span for full implementation.
Phasing and implementation ensure that significant changes for the area are spread across the 30 year time span, rather than in a condensed period of time. This also allows scope for flexibility. Phase 1 plans for 5 years, phase 2 plans for 10 years and phase 3 plans for 15 years. This means certain interventions and sites allocated for development can shift and evolve to accommodate for Poplar’s changing needs and demands. This will ultimately result in better place-making through use of innovative and forward-thinking methods and interventions. With an emphasis on sustainability, phasing allows future proposal adaptations to accommodate changing social, economic and environmental demands.
