The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) comprise of 17 separate goals which aim improve social, environmental and economical sustainability for all. Countries around the world have agreed to strive to achieve these goals before the year 2030. The framework strategies and interventions aim to tackle the issues identified in Poplar, as well as help the UK government meet the UN SDG’s over the next 10 years. The key goals the East London Green Link will help to achieve are depicted and listed to the right of this text. Achieved through the provision of additional green space and community facilities. Achieved through the provision of local employment areas. Achieved through the provision of locally produced energy.

Achieved through the provision education centres and community facilities. Achieved through the provision of multi use industrial, commercial and employment spaces. Achieved through the provision of climate education facilities, local energy generation and climate mitigation strategies.
