March is for New Beginnings: Strengthening Families Through Faith
Kingdom Christian Church was established under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our story began in the spring of 2010 with God’s commission to Pastor Rogers to “promote the agenda of Jesus Christ” in the city of Charlotte, NC.
Pastor Gabriel Rogers Senior Pastor Thursday
Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) - Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
God bless you church members and partners! It is amazing to me that we have come to the end of the first quarter of 2025. God has shown Himself strong in the life of Kingdom Christian Church and for this I am so thankful. I want to say “thank you” to all of our partners who continue to support this ministry that is going strong for Jesus! I also want to give a special thank you to those of you who supported Super-Seed Sunday, it was a huge success. We are still believing God for more development money, please continue to pray for us and sow towards the vision as we are impacting lives daily.
vigilant, so often a child becomes difficult to manage. Diligence is an essential part of healthy parenting.
By way of an update, we will be having our very first Kingdom Experience in Raleigh, NC, on March 21st and 22nd. If you know of anyone in that local area, please encourage them to register. We look forward to meeting our Raleigh partners. When I thought about this month’s partner letter, it was impressed upon my heart to write a note about family with an emphasis on our children.
A Christian Discipline is something that we should be doing regularly like praying and reading the Bible. Raising our children is also a Christian Discipline, and more attention needs to be given to this key component of our families. We are in a fallen world, and it is crucial now for parents to put attention on their family values and children’s development. Let’s look at a bedrock passage on this truth:
Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) - 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
I believe that one of the biggest mishaps in families today is the assumption that a child will “train himself.” Kids don’t teach or train themselves, they need to be taught, disciplined and nurtured. Children come out of the womb with a blank canvas to be written upon by responsible parents; however, if they are not ‘trained in the way they should go,’ they will depart from Christian values. Kids often act as though they have departed from Christian values because they never received them from their Christian parents in the first place. You can only depart from something you once had. Many parents are assuming too much good in their children, but please understand, they, like you, are not good until you teach them how to be so. Mankind is not born “moral”. We learn from David in Psalm 51:5 that we were “sinful at birth”. Human beings don’t come out doing the right thing, we require training. I often marvel at how even the cutest one year old will begin the process of migrating to what the world has called the “terrible twos” if not redirected during their growth and
Hear the Word of the Lord on what parents need to do consistently:
Deuteronomy 6:4 10 (NKJV)
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Notice verse number seven in the passage above. God says that parents need to always teach their children “diligently” everywhere. What’s even more amazing to me is that God tells us what to diligently teach our children in verse five. We should be diligently teaching kids to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”
If all our children heard lessons centered on loving God with everything that’s in them, they would more times than not remain Christians for the furtherance of their lives. Yet most parents teach their kids to love soccer practice over youth church and birthday parties over Saturday youth praise team rehearsals. Kids learn to value whatever we value by watching what we put emphasis on. If you don’t value church and the Word at home, your child won’t value these things.
There is a remedy that will build back the infrastructure of the home. Go back to making God first in what you do with your children. The Apostle Paul gave great wisdom on what it takes to help a believer to grow up in God. Hear Paul’s words as recorded in Galatians 4:19 (NLT):
Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.
Again, kids don’t just develop; someone has to labor with them until they get every life lesson needful to live on their own. The Word of God says we should be ‘apt to teach.’ There needs to be a hunger in every parent to groom and develop their child into a profitable Christian adult.

Financial literacy is the ability to understand and manage money wisely. For Christians, it’s not just about building personal wealth but being good stewards and positioning ourselves for Kingdom impact. Jesus emphasized wise financial decisions in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), praising those who managed resources well and rebuking the one who did nothing. This shows that financial stewardship matters to Jesus, and how we handle money determines our ability to receive and manage more. Without financial literacy, we risk excessive debt, financial struggles, and missed opportunities to sow into God’s Kingdom. Hosea 4:6 warns, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Some Christians don’t struggle due to low income but because they haven’t learned to manage what they have. Rejecting financial literacy has a significant
The law of seedtime and harvest (Genesis 8:22) governs financial increase in God’s Kingdom, requiring both faith and financial discipline. Galatians 6:7 says, “whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” To sow generously, we must first manage our finances well. 2 Corinthians 9:10 reminds us that God gives “seed to the sower, and bread for food.” If we spend everything, we’ll have nothing left to plant for a future harvest. While supernatural provision exists, like Peter finding money in a fish’s mouth, we must also grow in financial literacy— learning about budgeting, saving, investing, and reducing debt. Zechariah 4:10 encourages, “Do not despise these small beginnings.” No matter where we start, applying these principles positions us to operate in what our pastor calls the God market—the only reliable system for Christian financial growth.
If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved!
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus . According to Romans 10: 9-10, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life . Your word says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised hi m from the dead, thou shalt be saved . For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness ; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation ." I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead .
“A spirit-filled Christian with money is dangerous to the kingdom of darkness.” - Pastor Rogers
When we are born again, we enter a journey of learning and transformation. There are many things we must learn, and likewise, many habits and behaviors from our old nature that we must unlearn. New patterns of living according to the Christian life must be established, and old ones broken. Soon, we come to realize that reproducing the character of Jesus cannot be accomplished by our own efforts, willpower, or best intentions. No 50-day challenge or personal strength is sufficient. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us. Only He has the supernatural ability to bring about the changes that God desires, but He requires our full willingness to cooperate with Him.
Ephesians 4:30 (NLT) -And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
We are excited to announce the winners of our February Date Night Challenge! These couples went above and beyond, sharing some of the most creative and adventurous date experiences. Let’s celebrate their efforts to keep their relationships thriving through fun and meaningful moments together.
Congratulations to all the winners and participants for inspiring us with your creativity and intentionality. Keep nurturing those marriages!
To cooperate means to work or act together toward a common purpose. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman; He will not force His work upon you. If His presence seems lacking in your life, it is likely because you have grieved or suppressed His work. This must not continue. The Holy Spirit’s power is available to the degree that you allow Him to change you. The more you cooperate with Him, the more you will experience His transformative power in your life. Walk with Him, work with Him, and depend on Him for everything you do. He is your Helper, and all that you accomplish can only be done by His strength.

Strengthening family relationships is essential for creating a loving, supportive home where each member can thrive. Through consistent devotion, open communication, and meaningful activities, families can deepen their connections with one another and with God. Listed below are practical tips to help you nurture your family’s spiritual and emotional bonds, fostering a Christ-centered environment that encourages growth, unity, and love.
1. Establish a Family Devotion Routine
Tip: Choose a consistent time each day or week to gather for family devotion. Even if it’s just 10 minutes, regular time in God’s Word helps build unity and strengthens faith.
Example: Use a family-friendly devotional book or take turns reading and discussing Bible passages.
2. Encourage Open Communication
Tip: Foster a safe environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Example: Create a “family talk time” where each person can express how their day went, concerns they have, or positive experiences.
3. Engage in Fun Activities Together

The following points are a short summary of what you need to make it in this world. Although this isn't everything, and there is undoubtedly more, this is just a small glimpse.
1 John 4:4 tells us that we already have overcome this world. There is no need to worry. It is up to us to tap into our privileges and take what is rightfully ours. Here are the things you need to make it in this world
Salvation:
Romans 10:9- 10, When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior you are saved. You are forgiven and free from the guilt of your sins. You now have the opportunity to have eternal life in Heaven. Salvation gives you access to and unlocks the key to spiritual elements that were unknown before.
Spirit:
Acts 1:8, The Holy Spirit allows you to perform at a different spiritual pedigree than your natural human self. Humans have only the ability to go but so far.
A astor who walks in the fivefold:
Jeremiah 3:15, Pastors are spiritual shepherds and an important aspect of spiritual development. Most people do not know everything, and Christianity was not meant to be navigated alone.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14, Having a resolute mindset will allow you to maintain focus on the essential things in life and set you apart from everyone else. This will enable you to maintain focus, overcome obstacles, achieve goals, and build resilience.
According to Ecclesiastes 10:19, Money answers all things, so why not have that very thing? It is a tool that everyone needs to live. For the Christian, it is not only to live in prosperity but also to advance the Kingdom of God.
In conclusion, with salvation, the Holy Spirit, spiritual guidance, a resolute mind, and financial resources, you are equipped to thrive in this world and fulfill your God-given purpose.
Pastor Rogers has faithfully taught the members of Kingdom Christian Church that wickedness is “in the air” and works to influence Believers every day. While we understand that “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19), we, as Christians have been given all the necessary tools to remain clean in an unclean world. In the list below, we have highlighted a few common hindrances to spiritual growth with tips to “declutter” our hearts and continue growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Laziness/Lack of Diligence
In a recent Bible Study, Pastor Rogers explained that God will direct our hearts, but He will not regulate our hearts. Lacking diligence in fundamental Christian disciplines causes a Believer to become susceptible to deception, oppression, temptation, etc. To mitigate this, Pastor Rogers graciously shared his “Regimen for Power”. Do the following regimen every morning, to see exponential growth spiritually
FaceTime (Laying prostrate before the Lord
Read one chapter of the Bible and a portion of a spiritually sound book. (We highly recommend one of the books authored by Pastor Rogers Prayer (Worship, spiritual warfare, prayers of petition Faith confession Hear the Word
Pride is an issue of the heart that causes one to “miss out” on all the blessings and favor of God. It hinders learning and growth, creates a disdain for correction, and ultimately causes one to fall away from the safety of discipleship. Many years ago, Pastor Rogers provided the equation for effectively growing in God. He said, “Humility leads to servitude. Servitude leads to learning. Learning leads to exaltation.” If we abide by those words, we progress in the things of God at an accelerated rate.
Sin
Unconfessed and unrepented sin creates the perfect environment for condemnation. To overcome sin, we must do the following
Repent ( cts 3:19
Confess our sins to God (1 John 1:9
Confess our sins to someone of a higher spiritual status (James 5:16
Get in a Spirit-filled, discipleship driven ministry (like KCC!)
Spend time with the Lord today and allow the Word of God to wash your heart clean of any “debris” from the world.
How do we cultivate the Fruit of the Spirit—joy—and live in the joy of Christ? Joy is a biblical promise to those who are born again.
John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 - For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight.
The Greek word for joy is chara (khar-ah) which means to be cheerful, calmly happy, or well off. The Bible often describes joy as deep, everlasting, and rejoicing. Joy is not fleeting; it does not come and go like happiness. As Christians, joy is our strength!
Nehemiah 8:10 - “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Isaiah 12:2-3 - Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. Therefore, with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
So how do we cultivate and maintain the joy of Christ? Joy comes from knowing God's love and faithfulness. Pastor Rogers teaches how to cultivate joy. Joy comes through a relationship with God (His Word and Prayer) and through praise and thanksgiving!
Psalm 35:9 - And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.
Spend time each day in praise and worship and joy will manifest!

In her role as Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, her team is responsible for ensuring that the company’s financial IT applications and systems comply with the SarbanesOxley Act (SOX). Over the past 25+ years, she has had the privilege of working in various roles within the IT industry.
She enjoys engaging in diverse hobbies. Gardening is one of her favorites, and roaming through antique stores in search of mid-century furniture is another. Genealogy research allows her to delve into her family history, and being creative is what she enjoys most, whether it’s baking bread from scratch or creating soap. During her search for a new church home, her friend Cerelia reintroduced her to KCC. She began by watching Pastor Gabe’s online sermons and then attended a few services in person. What stood out to her was that he wasn’t just preaching the gospel—he was teaching it, breaking it down in a way she hadn’t heard in any of her previous churches. She knew that joining this ministry would help her grow in her walk with Christ. She officially joined KCC on Mother’s Day, May 14th, 2023.
What comes to mind when you think of the words “youth ministry?” You might think of coloring books, movies, snack cakes, and Cheetos. At KCC, this barely scratches the surface of what you can expect.
In KCC Youth Ministry, we take the word “ministry” seriously – and that is just what we aim to do. Our goal is to minister to the whole of our children and youth. Just like adults have needs, so do they. Youth need acceptance, fun, friendship, and most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ. So, what might that look like?
Picture this: your child has just finished a Thursday of classes and is longing for a break and some food. We have your answer! On Thursday nights at 5:30, we have Youth Zone –an area for our youth to gather, eat good food, and participate in light personal development. This personal development includes topics such as interview prep, professionalism, and even participating in youth auxiliary groups (media, publication, etc.). During this hour, our children also participate in fun activities such as baking cookies and making slime!
At 7:00, we begin our Bible Study with dynamic praise and worship, inviting the presence of our King into the room. After this time of devotion, we break into our separate gradelevel groups for our Bible study. As mentioned before, we take ministry seriously, and so the topics that we teach are relevant and aimed at preparing our youth to thrive as Christians in the last days.
For example, March and April’s topic is a deep dive into the Armor of God –how each piece is used, why they are necessary, and the attacks that would try to come against them. Thursday night Bible study is not just two hours of play time – we aim to develop our youth into strong Christians.
However, this is not the only ministry that takes place! On Sundays, we have 7am and 8am classes with unique topics, and on 2nd and 4th Sundays, we hold our own services in the Community Building. These are full services – including a youth-led band and praise team, youth-led offering exhortations, activities, and sermons. Our youth are people, and they need their own space to worship!
Now, what youth ministry is void of fun? Starting in 2025, we are holding monthly fun nights, giving our children and youth a space to experience clean, godly fun. These events include endless activities and almost endless dinner and desserts! In addition to this, we will take several off-campus field trips throughout the year.
This is only a brief explanation of a day in the life of youth ministry. As many would say, to get the full extent of what we have to offer, “You have to be there!”
At KCC, our Pastor’s vision is to build comprehensive Christians, and that does not exclude our children and youth. If you desire for yours to grow, get them to youth and children’s ministry! You (and they!) will be glad you did!

Step 1: Prepare your station.
Grab your paper plate and squeeze the paint onto it. This will allow you easy access to paint as you go. Make sure your paint isn’t too close to touch or it’ll mix and create a new color (unless that’s what you want). To prevent further mess, use gloves to avoid paint from getting on your hands.
Step 2: Position your stencil.
Take your stencil and position it on your doormat. If it’s adhesive, try to position it the best you can for the perfect placement. Use your tape to secure the ends of the stencil to hold it in place.
Step 3: Paint your doormat.
Begin painting your doormat and remember to take your time. Have fun and use this as a time to relax. Use about 3-4 even paint coats. This will help the paint stand out from the doormat. Also, be sure to fill in every empty space with paint to create the sharp lines of each letter or shape.
Step 4: Let it dry.
Once you’ve finished painting, remove the stencil and let your doormat dry. If you notice any areas that could be filled in, now is the time to do touch-ups. You can then apply a few coats of exterior clear coat spray. Let your work dry completely before using it.
