A message from the editor in chief

What’s up everybody, how’s everyone doing? We are officially back in school. We have been in school now for about one month. This is my second year of middle school and I’m really enjoying it. This is also my first year of tackle football. It’s really cool, and I love playing football. I’ve played a lot of positions like wide receiver, tight end, cornerback, etc.  Wide receiver and cornerback are my favorites. Playing football is really fun, and some of you that have ever thought about playing should really try it out. My favorite subject is Math, and I am in honors math. I’m taking pre-algebra. Some things I like about math is that it’s fun to do, most of the time it’s interactive, and a lot of my friends are in honors with me. I am looking forward to a very successful school year and so far, it’s been just that.

This month’s youth journal will recap many of the exciting activities we did over the summer, as well as some of the ministry events that we had. You will also read about back-to-school experiences from other youth, as well as a recap of our current bible study series and the bible principals and lessons that we learned. Also, we have a new feature this month, and that is a youth sports page where we are highlighting many of the youth that play sports. I hope that you will take time to read this month’s journal and enjoy it.

This month is also special because we are celebrating our Pastor’s, my dad, 15th Pastoral Anniversary celebration. I don’t know of any man on earth who is greater than my dad.  He means so much to me and does so much for our family and he is a great pastor too. What I admire so much about my dad is he is a man of integrity. He is so honest. Everything that he preaches at church he lives it at home. We have a special page in this month’s journal that is in honor of our Pastor. Please take a moment to read our journal and don’ forget to share it with someone.

Sincerely,

THE VALUE OF YOUTH MINISTRY

The Youth Ministry at Kingdom Christian Church (KCC) believes that the next generation is not just the future of the church—they are an essential part of the church right now.  That is why KCC values our youth and is committed to developing them through intentional discipleship and leadership.

Why Youth Ministry Is Important at KCC

Youth Ministry is more than fun and activities—it is about shaping lives for Christ. At a critical stage in their development, young people are bombarded with the world’s offers of popularity, pleasure, and compromise. However, in Youth Ministry at KCC, students are taught how to recognize these distractions and instead choose to follow God’s path. Through Youth Discipleship by passionate and committed Youth Leaders and Pastor, our young people learn:

To build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

To discover their purpose, God-given gifts, and how to use them for His glory.

To grow in character, integrity, and spiritual maturity.

To develop a strong “want to” — a desire to live their lives fully for God and forsake the false promises of the world.

The KCC Youth Ministry has two monthly dynamic Youth Services led by youth and designed specifically to connect with teens, challenge them with the Word, and inspire them to pursue God wholeheartedly. These services cultivate a faith-filled environment where young people can be themselves, grow spiritually, and strengthen their walk with Christ.

Parents + KCC: A Kingdom Partnership

Parents, you play the most significant role in your child’s spiritual journey. KCC’s Youth Ministry is here to walk alongside you—not to replace your influence, but to partner with you in guiding your youth toward Christ. When parents strongly encourage and support their children’s involvement in Youth Ministry, it reinforces the foundation of faith built at home. Together, parents and KCC form a powerful partnership: Parents model and encourage faith at home.

KCC provides discipleship, spiritual development, and fun activities.  Youth gain strength, wisdom, and accountability to live boldly for God. At Kingdom Christian Church, we are passionate about raising up a generation of young disciples who are unashamed of their faith, equipped to resist the world’s temptations, and committed to living for Christ. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Say about ? What Does the Bible YOUTH EDITION

My most memorable lesson from the “What does the bible say?” series was about drugs, alcohol, and vaping. I enjoyed this lesson because it showed me the serious consequences of using these substances. I have learned how to stand strong in my faith and not be enticed to try these things. I have also become more knowledgeable about this topic, using the information to tell others about Jesus. I want teens to know that He can free them from these things.

My most memorable “What Does the Bible Say” lesson is about vaping. We learned one vape has an extremely high amount of nicotine. We also learned about how kids get vapes from we should not put bad things in our body where Jesus lives. We should respect our health because God wants us to live and not die. I understand that instead of being addicted to something ungodly, like vapes, we should be addicted to God.

My most memorable “What Does the Bible Say” lesson is on prosperity. It is not limited to finances, but includes spiritual, physical, and soul prosperity, all of which are available to me. This prosperity is promised to those who walk in obedience and integrity, and it is freely offered to all. The world often resists this truth because when God’s people prosper, outreach expands, recovery homes grow, and communities gain opportunities. Even when culture pushes back, we can stand firm, knowing prosperity is God’s design for believers, as Proverbs 13:22 reminds us: “The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.”

Favorite Identity Series Lesson

My favorite Identity series lesson was session four. It was about being complete in Christ. We learned not only that we are complete in Him but also how to walk in that “complete-ness”. I learned that we must first be saved to truly experience that wholeness in Jesus. I also learned that even when circumstances or people try to make us feel down or sad, that does not mean we become incomplete. It just means that we must keep our focus on Jesus and know that we are complete in Him no matter what.

The identity series has helped me embrace who I truly am in Christ. First, it reminded me that I am a Christian, a believer in Christ Jesus, and that my identity is rooted in His Word, not in what anyone else says about me. Secondly, it has shown me that I am deeply loved by God, no matter the mistakes I have made, because His love is far greater than any sin I could ever commit. Lastly, I have come to understand that I am complete in Jesus, lacking nothing in any area of my life. No matter what I may feel or see, it is in Him that I live, move, and find true fulfillment. I have also learned that I do not have to compare myself to the people of the world because I was never meant to be like them. I was created to reflect Christ.

to a Man After God’s Own Heart A Tribute

As the youth ministry team, we are deeply grateful for the gift of serving under the leadership of a true shepherd. Pastor, your life and ministry have consistently reflected integrity, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to God’s call. In every interaction, you demonstrate that leadership is not about titles, but about faithfully loving and guiding God’s people—especially the next generation.

Your love for youth and children is undeniable. You have invested your time, your prayers, and your heart into ensuring that the young people of Kingdom Christian Church not only know the truth of God’s Word, but also see it lived out in real and practical ways. From encouraging words in the sanctuary to showing up for youth events, you have shown each youth that they matter to God and to you. You embody the heart of a true spiritual father—patient, compassionate, and always pointing people back to Christ.

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve on the youth ministry team under your leadership. We are inspired by your integrity and by the way you carry yourself with humility while walking in the authority God has given you. You continue to guide us with wisdom, reminding us that ministry is not about programs or performance, but about lives being transformed by the power of Jesus. Your steady encouragement motivates us to serve faithfully and to give our very best. Truly, Pastor, you are a man after God’s own heart. Your example challenges us to live holy, serve selflessly, and remain steadfast in our faith. We count it a blessing to be able to serve in this capacity.

As we look ahead, we are excited about what God will continue to do through this ministry. With your leadership, we are confident that our youth ministry will keep expanding and growing into the dynamic, Spiritled work that God has called it to be. Together, we will continue to reach and disciple the next generation for Christ. Pastor, we honor you, we thank you, and we pray God’s richest blessings over your life and ministry. May the Lord continue to strengthen you and keep you as you lead with courage, faith, and love.

With deepest gratitude and love, The Youth Ministry Team
