AnMember Ideal

1 Peter 5:1-4 NKJV

Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.

God bless you, KCC Members and Partners. Please allow me to start this month’s letter by saying “thank you.” I am so grateful to every member and partner for your kindness toward my family and I during this anniversary season. I’ve been told that October is “Pastoral Appreciation Month.” In my opinion, KCC should be raised up on a national level as a church that knows how to celebrate their Pastor! Thank you so kindly for all of your love and giving down through the years.

In this pastoral commemorative edition, I want to briefly discuss what an “ideal member” looks like. It is every pastor’s dream to have people in his church who both value and participate in the ministry’s objectives. Further, pastors like me look so forward to seeing the sheep flourish in every area of their lives. I’ve always been a great proponent of what I coined years ago “Comprehensive Christianity.” I believe that God’s people should be winning in every area of their lives, and this is where being a good member starts. I’d like to raise up five activities that every church member should aspire to:

Be a member who both evangelizes the lost and promotes your pastor and church.

Be a member who is “easy to disciple;” don’t resist the opportunities to learn and grow.

Get in your God-ordained purpose; when you’re in your assignment, you're building the church and the Kingdom of God at large.

Pursue ways to support your church’s vision by both praying for and getting involved in service in the ministry.

Support your pastor’s vision and church financially to the best of your ability; our ministry has lots of vision to accomplish, don’t withhold your best seeds.

Paul in his letter to Timothy identifies a person that was useful to him. I’ve often thought about the usefulness of the members of KCC. The individuals in our church who are constant contributors in time, talent, and treasure organically take a load off of the pastor. To be useful is what an ideal member really is. Ask yourself a key question, “could my pastor pass me the ball today and I fulfill the ministry’s objectives in my area of impact?” Churches grow at accelerated rates when more people become useful. Becoming useful is all about Christian growth and development. I’ve always said, “we want more for people than we want from them.” I’ve never sought to use a member of KCC that was “compromised” or “injured” in any way. For example, before you can help me teach marriage class, you’ve got to work on your own marriage being consistently healthy. Before you can help me by leading the singles ministry, you’ve got to make sure that you live a circumspect life of purity. There is an old saying that says “good help is hard to find;” this can sometimes be the case in the Kingdom of God. In my most recent book entitled “When God Finds a Man,” I talk a lot about how God is looking for people to fulfill His will and sometimes He must look far and wide. Why? Because most Christians are underbaked in their development. Strive to be the type of Believer that God can depend on. Work diligently to produce for Him. When God can safely trust you, your pastor can as well. We need more members who have good character in their private lives in addition to their public appearances. I admonish you to get serious about your role in the church and pursue it by becoming more useful. The Kingdom wants you!

Thank you again for all of your love that you’ve shown to me and my family in this season. I speak God’s greatest blessings over you and yours.

With Love,

Family Reflections: Beyond the Pulpit

Living with and Learning from Pastor Rogers

What a wonderful joy and blessing it is to have a loving marriage with your pastor husband.  I love being married to Pastor Gabe!  He is truly one of a kind and I consider it very rewarding to be chosen to serve alongside him in ministry.  More than most vocations, ministry affords us the opportunity to serve together.  This does not mean we co-pastor.  We do not co-anything.  He is the pastor.  I am his wife, a church member, and through his leadership and my support and individual gifts, we work together in our service to God.  It’s a match made in Heaven, literally.  Beyond the pulpit is fun, an enjoyable family life and leadership.  In keeping with the title of this article, I will refer to Pastor as I always do and that’s Dear.

Whether we’re funny to other people or not, we really are funny to each other.  These inside jokes developed organically over time and through our experiences together. Dear keeps me laughing.  Beyond the pulpit, he is and has always been just naturally, a very fun person to be around.

One of the traits I enjoy most about my Dear is his sense of humor.  He has always been able to make me laugh!  Whether we are at home, on vacation, date night or running errands, he keeps me laughing at the most random things.  He is often funny intentionally, and even more unintentionally.  We have the funniest inside jokes that only he and I are privy to.

Dear is one of the most selfless people I personally know.  He prioritizes our family and his role as a husband and father second only to our Lord.  Without fail, he provides for our family and no matter what decisions he makes, the safety and well-being of our family always comes first.  He always places me and our children above himself.  One of the most notable qualities I admire about him is his ability to balance work, ministry and family life, effectively.  He fulfills his role as pastor and also recognizes the importance and need to spend quality time with me and our children on a regular basis.  He is very consistent in this.  He does all of the scheduling and planning of our date nights, and he supports our children in their extra-curricular activities.  He loves being at home, with us.  Beyond the pulpit, Dear is a family man.

There is so much more I could share about our Pastor, but I’ll end with his pattern of life and the example he is to our family. The role of leadership is one of example; being an example by setting a pattern for others to follow in their own lives.  His strength in decision making provides so much security and emotional support for our family .  Our family has learned so much from his teaching and discipleship.  I would say the precepts of faith, understanding spiritual principles and truths, and cultivating a relationship with Jesus are some of the most invaluable teachings I and our children continue to learn from him.  A good husband brings out the best in his wife.  Dear is a good husband.  This does not diminish the good that I contribute to his life, but make no mistake, my life physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually has been made better because of my connection to him through marriage.  Beyond the pulpit, Dear is a real Christian and an amazing leader.

Family Reflections

Thank you for not being two – face and correcting me when I need it. I will always be able to say that, in a world of corrupt Gospel preachers, I am the daughter of a true man of God. You’ve prayed and walked me through to victory in my life, protected me from evil as best as you can, and you’ve taught me a lifestyle that would get me to Heaven.  Happy 15th Pastoral Anniversary.

I love you, Love Lauren

Dear Dad, thank you for being an upstanding man of God and being involved in my life. You always uphold good moral character in public and in private. You work hard so that I can live a good life, and I am never in lack. Thank you for not neglecting my spiritual life and always holding me accountable to good morals and establishing good character in me. Dad, you have a lot of patience dealing with me despite me continually making errors. I have learned a lot from you by watching how you disciple other people. Thank you for accepting the call on your life and developing into who God called you to be.  Happy 15th Pastoral Anniversary.

I love you dad, Gabe

Dear Dad, Thank you for being such a great dad. Thank you for being the greatest influence and the rightest influence in my life. Thank you for being a dad in my life, but not just in my life, but also about my life. You always pour into my life in small ways, like playing monopoly with me and in major ways, like devotionals that really make you have to think about the decisions you make and how you could have done better.

I also want to thank you for all the blessings that I have just by you being in my life. When I say this, I mean things like being a pastor. By you being a pastor, when it’s my birthday, I get money from members that you pastor in your church. Another example could be things like a PS5. I didn’t just get it with my money I saved up, I got it with the money I got overtime from you that I happened to keep.  Thank you for all that you do for me.  I love you so much.

Love, Christian

Dear Dad, Happy Anniversary.  You are a great father.  I love you so much.  You are a great pastor.  I like it when you share the Gospel to people.  When I grow up, I want to be a pastor just like you. You teach me how to preach when I watch you.  Thank you for buying me birthday presents, taking me to CVS to buy candy and snacks, and taking me to Frankies.  Thank you for taking me to the barber shop. You are a great dad and I am so glad that I am your son.  I love you so much dad.

Love, Stephen

A Journey of Faith and Calling: Pastor’s Story

Every pastor has a story that begins long before the pulpit, shaped by encounters with God, early influences, and the steady hand of the Holy Spirit. For our pastor, Pastor Gabriel Rogers, that story began at the tender age of eleven.

Salvation Story

It was during a revival service that he first experienced the transforming power of salvation. At just 11 years old, he gave his life to Christ and publicly professed Jesus as Lord. That decision marked not just a moment, but the beginning of an intentional walk with God. He remembers being deeply aware that his life was no longer his own. Because of his public confession, he felt compelled to live faithfully so as not to dishonor the Savior he had boldly claimed before others.

A Call to Ministry

From childhood, he was drawn to the preached Word. In fact, as a little boy, he would stand before the family fireplace, using it as a pulpit to “preach” imaginary sermons. Over time, that sense of calling only deepened. What confirmed his calling most was an undeniable desire—a yearning that never left.

He admired pastors who carried themselves with dignity and professionalism, recognizing the weight of their role in the community. Still, he knew that answering the call meant embracing more than a title; it meant embracing the process of becoming who God had called him to be.

“Callings are for a set time in the future,” he reflects. “People need to focus on becoming who God called them to be. Don’t deny the process.” The journey wasn’t without its challenges. Chief among them was learning to be comfortable with being “uncommon.” In a society that often minimizes or misunderstands the role of a minister, he had to learn early on that his responsibility was to please God, not people.

Influences Along the Way

His path was shaped by many voices—mentors, pastors, and faithful Christians who poured into his life. Family played a critical role as well, offering him the space to lead and minister without resistance. He is quick to give thanks for his wife Stephanie and their children, who have embraced his calling fully. He also recalls the wisdom of pastors like Pastor Rondy and Pastor Gool,

whose mentorship left lasting impressions. “I’m a byproduct of lots of good advice down through the years,” he says with gratitude.

Memorable Moments in Minstry

Looking back, he can recount many defining experiences: praying and witnessing the dead raised, officiating weddings for God-ordained couples, and even cutting the ribbon on new buildings and properties dedicated to God’s work. But his greatest joy is simpler: seeing God’s people flourish. “When my members win, I win —period.” For him, shepherding is not about position but about compassion. Whether through encouragement or correction, his heart remains rooted in love for God’s people.

A Shepherd’s Heart

From that childhood revival service to the present day, his life reflects a story of consistent faith, steady calling, and unwavering love for God’s people. His journey is both testimony and invitation—a reminder that salvation is the first step, calling is a process, and ministry is ultimately about compassion.

National Pastoral Appreciation Month October

National Clergy (or Pastoral) Appreciation Month, often observed in October, is a time set aside to honor and celebrate pastors, ministers, and spiritual leaders for their dedication, sacrifice, and service to the church and community. Here’s the significance of this observance:

1. Recognizes Spiritual Leadership

Pastors play a vital role in guiding congregations through teaching, preaching, counseling, and prayer. This month acknowledges their leadership in nurturing the faith of others.

2. Encourages Congregational Gratitude

It gives church members an intentional opportunity to express thankfulness through words, gifts, and acts of service. Many pastors work tirelessly behind the scenes, and this month helps bring that to light.

3. Highlights the Sacrifice of Ministry

Pastoral work often comes with long hours, emotional and spiritual burdens, and personal sacrifice. Setting aside a month to honor them underscores the value of their commitment.

4. Strengthens the Pastor–Church Relationship

Celebrations and expressions of appreciation can deepen bonds within the church, fostering unity and support between leaders and members.

5. Affirms the Biblical Call to Honor Leaders

Scripture encourages believers to honor those who labor in teaching and preaching (1 Timothy 5:17; Hebrews 13:17). Pastoral Appreciation Month puts that into practice.

6. Encourages Pastors Themselves

Knowing that their efforts are seen and appreciated can reinvigorate pastors, giving them fresh encouragement to continue in their calling with joy.

In short, National Pastoral Month is about celebration, encouragement, and honor—reminding both leaders and congregations of the beauty of the partnership God designed between shepherds and their flock.

Debt Freedom

Accomplishments Ministry

Through Pastor Rogers’ faithfulness and wise stewardship, our church campus is now 100% debt free! The Grace House for unwed mothers was also built completely debt free, and the Lord enabled us to purchase the land behind the Grace House with no debt as well. To God be the glory for allowing us to walk in financial freedom.

Bible College

We are excited to announce that Kingdom Bible College officially launched its first classes in August 2025! Under the anointed leadership of Pastor Rogers, students are being equipped in the Word of God and trained for Kingdom impact. This first cohort is already experiencing life-changing teaching and spiritual growth.

Acquisitions

God has blessed us with incredible resources for Kingdom expansion. In addition to purchasing the land behind the Grace House debt free, we also received trailers that will serve our upcoming K-12 school. These acquisitions are a testimony of God’s favor and His provision for future generations.

Notable Signs, Wonders, and Miracles (SWMs)

At KCC, we continue to witness God’s miraculous power at work in our services. Two women named Melissa were completely healed of cancer, and two blind men received their vision during healing services. We’ve also seen people testify of new jobs, breakthroughs, and countless other miracles— reminders that God is with Pastor Rogers!

Accomplishments Personal

Establishing Kingdom Property Group

Luke 16:12 poses the question, “And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?” This scripture effectively explains that one must show himself trustworthy of promotion through diligence and faithfulness in servitude. After serving as a real estate agent at Century 21, Dr. Gabriel Rogers established Kingdom Real Estate in 2020. Founded on the Biblical principles of love, honesty, and integrity, the organization began to experience unprecedented success and growth. In 2022, Dr. Rogers rebranded and named the company The Kingdom Property Group. With agents now servicing both North and South Carolina, Kingdom Property Group is rapidly expanding its reach through excellence and outstanding customer service.

To my Pastor, mentor, spiritual father, and grandfather to our kids, these are a few of the titles that my family and I are grateful to call you. Since meeting you 3 years ago, my life has gone from one SWM to another, happy marriage, children, prophecies and words of knowledge. Thank you for teaching me how to be a well-rounded Man of God—a better husband, father and leader. We are excited to join our church family in celebrating you on your 15th pastoral anniversary, for being the perfect man that we can mark and model our lives after.

Pastor Rogers is the kind of spiritual leader every man dreams of having. Under his anointed teaching, I’ve experienced tremendous growth. His power and authority in the Spirit are so astounding, it is humbling to know that he calls me by my name. The Bible is final authority. While Scripture declares John the Baptist as the greatest preacher, it says nothing about the greatest Apostle. So I count it a high honor and privilege to sit under the greatest Apostle that has ever existed, Pastor Doctor Gabriel Rogers.
