With God All Over Again

Revelation2:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

I am so blessed to have you in alignment with our vision here at KCC. As you well know, we are in the month of September. As I often say, “can you believe how fast time has moved.” It seemed like yesterday when we were introducing our theme for the year of 2024.

Here we are approaching the culmination of this year. But the good news is that there is still time to “breakout” and be both validated and vindicated. As I was pondering what to write this month, I believe that God placed it on my heart to remind us to “Fall back in love with Him.”

Needless to say, the “Fall season” is not a time to fall out of relationship with God, instead we should rekindle our fire for Him. We need to keep falling in love with God. There is so much going on in our daily affairs that is constantly competing with God’s placement in our lives. Our kids are back in school, that means lots of transport hours, sport practices and the like.

Our jobs constantly have us on the move and the mundane things of life are always in a tug of war with our relationship with God. Busyness is a direct infringement on our time for God Hear what Jesus said to Martha about her constant busyness:

Luke 10:38-42

38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at [a]Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

41 And [b]Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things

42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her ”

Notice that Mary “made time” to sit at Jesus' feet , while Martha allowed other things to “take time” from her worship with the Lord. Life has a funny way of competing with God even when the things that we are doing are indeed needful. I imagine that Martha’s house really needed to be cleaned, however, at the time, Jesus should have been her priority.

Folks, there will always be something else for us to do in a day I don’t remember a time since I’ve been an adult when I didn’t have something that needed to be done, however, we’ve got to learn to etch out space for our “first love.” Hence the point of this article, most Christians really need to “fall in love with God again.” Hear the amplified version of our theme verse:

4 But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me].

As we can see in the verse above, it’s not that we totally “left God”, but in so many cases some of us have lost the “depth of love that we first had for God.” When was that depth of love so rich for many? When you first got saved. There is a song that we used to sing in the church that said “take me back to the place where I first received you.” The whole idea of the song was that many believers needed to be brought back on fire for how they used to feel about God on the day when they “first believed.” I agree with this song. I think that many Christians have allowed their relationship with God to go stale and stagnant We need to get back on fire for God How does this happen? The same way it works in our earthly relationships, you must “fall back in love all over again ” So how do we fall back in love with God:

Ephesians 2:12

remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

The key word in the verse above is “remember”. We’ve got to remember just how much God’s presence means to us. We fall back in love with God by being reflective and by worshiping Him for all of his kindness towards us. This skill set is adaptable in other relationships We need to “fall back in love” with our spouses, children and friends Love has to be maintained Don’t allow the enemy to strip you of your relationship with God most importantly because you will need Him for the rest of eternity and that means “forever”. I believe that this is one of the more powerful revelations that God has dealt with us on this year via a partner letter. We have got to maintain our “love walk” with the Lord. Paul had a revelation of just how important the presence of God is for us in this world:

Prayer of Salvation

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. According to Romans 10: 9-10, Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Your word says that "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead I AM SAVED!

STRENGTHENING YOUR FAITH WALK

Ephesians 6:10

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Our pastor has been in an anointed and Spirit-led series called Faith for the World. It is so relevant and timely for the current time and times ahead.

We would do ourselves a great service by being a hearer and doer of the Word! The Bible is clear that in the last days perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1). You would have to be totally ignorant and void of spiritual discernment to not see and conclude that perilous times are indeed here. Perilous times can be defined as strength reducing times; or a time of strength reduction; or a time when the strength of people will be diminished This is indeed the spiritual climate of today

For this reason, perilous times call for strong faith. The times in which we live demand that we be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10), that we are appropriately attired or suited up (Ephesians 6:13 – 18) and that our faith walk is strengthened

I define the “faith walk” as simply, a Christ-honoring life that is only lived by faith (Romans 1:17) In his letter to the church at Thessalonica, Apostle Paul expressed a thankfulness to God that their faith was growing exceedingly (2 Thessalonians 1:3)

This means their faith walk was increasing way above the norm. They were going from thirty to sixty to one hundredfold This is the type of life that is the secret to strength in perilous times Satan will do everything in his power to wear us out, little by little, very subtly and gradually, until there is nothing more left of us (Daniel 7:25 AMP). He is the enemy of our soul and he wants us drained of all power and strength. For this reason, we must know how to maintain our strength in the midst of it all

Commit to the following in order to strengthen your faith walk

Increase your intake of the Word – Satan’s threat assessment against you is based on the amount of Word you read, believe and act on. The Word of God MUST become a vital and integral part of your life

Strengthen your prayer life – Colossians 4:2 (AMP) says, “Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving” . Devotion implies something you have an allegiance to; something you are committed to and steadfast in You MUST be constant and committed to a quality prayer life 1

Attend church regularly – During these perilous times, you must find, join and connect with a Spirit-filled church, led by a Spirit-filled pastor. Too many don’t need much of an excuse to stay home from church, but don’t let inconsistent church attendance be your customary practice Church attendance is critical to your spiritual development We thank God for our church and Pastor!

Faith Conference 2024

Highlights from the 2024 Kingdom Christian Church Annual Faith Conference!

From August 18 and August 2125, we experienced six incredible days of worship and learning that left a lasting impact on all who attended.

The conference began with Increase Night on Sunday evening, where Pastor Rogers delivered a powerful message that set the tone for the week.

On Wednesday night, Brother Chad Gonzalez led an impactful Healing School session teaching us about the power of healing.

Pastor Rondy Long taught on Thursday and Friday on the subject “What does Cakes have to do with Babies?”'. Pastor Rondy also taught the presession seminars on “Decent People Have Demons and Need Deliverance” that provided deep spiritual insights on deliverance.

Each weeknight featured our KCC Live pre-conference show followed by a devotional from First Lady Rogers and a time of prayer. On Day 5, we enjoyed “Faith, Family and Fun” day, a joyful event filled with activities for our KCC Partners and their families.

The conference concluded with Pastor Rogers delivering a powerful closing sermon on “How To Keep the Faith,” leaving us inspired and equipped to continue our spiritual journey.

Enemies Enemies to to Christian Christian Success Success

On our Wednesday morning prayer calls, Pastor Rogers started a mini series titled “Enemies to Christian Success”. These are areas in a Christian’s life that should be acknowledged and promptly addressed to avoid hindrances to spiritual growth and success. Addressing these issues is crucial for building Christian character, which is vital in the challenging times we live in.

The first enemy is hypocrisy. Pastor defined hypocrisy as failing to walk in truth, or more specifically, acting righteously at church while living a completely different, often ungodly, lifestyle at home. As highlighted in one of the Faith Conference seminars, old church culture has encouraged people to play the part, appearing as a devout Christian to gain favor with the pastor or secure leadership roles. However, in these last days, when deception is at an all-time high, continuing to live a life of deceit only keeps a person from receiving all that God has in store for them. Living in deception creates a conflict of belief. The Bible says in John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.” A liar cannot have faith in God because they do not believe the truth.

Hypocrisy can ultimately cause one to miss Heaven. As Christians, we must strive to be genuine and authentic, imitating God (Ephesians 5:1). Pastor Rogers has been an excellent example of this in the earth realm.

The second enemy is pride. According to Proverbs 6:16-19, pride is one of the things that God hates. It’s also significant to note that a lying tongue and hypocrisy is included in that list. Pride can be a “silent killer” because it’s a matter of the heart. A person can smile and look the part on the outside, but on the inside, their heart is saying something different. Some examples of pride are, the inability to acknowledge when you’re wrong, the inability to be corrected or discipled, or the inability to acknowledge truth. Trying to carry your burdens alone is another form of pride, as it suggests that you can handle situations better than God can, even though He tells us to cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7).

Pastor Rogers provided three remedies for pride:

1.

Stop carrying your own life. (1 Peter 5:7)

Listen to somebody else. (Proverbs 11:14; Proverbs 24:6) 2.

Get thankful . (Psalm 100:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:18) 3

Don’t let hypocrisy or pride rob you of the abundant life God desires for you. Walk in the fullness of life that He has prepared for you!

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

As we step into September, let's begin to prepare our hearts and plans for October, when we will come together to express our deep gratitude and appreciation for our pastors during Pastoral Appreciation Month.

Celebrating a pastoral anniversary is deeply rooted in biblical principles, emphasizing the importance of honoring those who lead us in faith The Bible, in passages like 1 Timothy 5:17 and Hebrews 13:7, urges us to recognize and respect the dedication of our pastors, particularly those devoted to preaching and teaching. This celebration is an opportunity for the congregation to express gratitude for their pastor’s faithful service and to reflect on the impact of their leadership

The role of a pastor as a shepherd carries profound significance, modeled after Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Pastors are entrusted with guiding, protecting, and nurturing their congregations, often at great personal sacrifice

In 1 Peter 5:2-4, church leaders are called to shepherd their flocks willingly and eagerly, setting an example for others to follow

A pastoral anniversary allows us to acknowledge this selfless dedication and the critical role pastors play in the spiritual well-being of the church.

Moreover, celebrating a pastoral anniversary should go beyond the ceremony; it is a time for the congregation to recommit to their own roles in supporting their pastor’s ministry. Hebrews 13:17 reminds us of the importance of submitting to and encouraging our leaders as they keep watch over our souls.

By celebrating this milestone, we affirm our shared responsibility in the mission of the church and our pastor’s leadership.

Ultimately, a pastoral anniversary is more than a date on the calendar it is a testament to God’s faithfulness in providing shepherds for His flock

As we honor our pastors, we also recommit ourselves to walking alongside them in the journey of faith, supporting their work, and growing together as a community under their guidance. This celebration is a moment to reflect on the blessings of faithful leadership and to strengthen the bond between pastor and congregation

It is Kingdom Christian Church’s tradition to annually honor and celebrate Pastor Gabriel Rogers during the month of October. The celebration will consist of opportunities to show their appreciation and support, both financially and creatively

1(14.5oz)canblackbeans,drainedandrinsed

Directions:

- Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and drizzle lightly with oil.

-Add ground beef along with chopped onions, crumbling and stirring occasionally until browned. Add jalapeno, garlic and sauté 1 minute longer.

-Drain excess fat from beef mixture.

-Stir in tomatoes with chiles, beef broth, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, ranch dressing mix and season with salt and pepper to taste.

-Cover pot with lid and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

-Add in corn, black beans and pinto beans and cook until heated through.

-Add 1/2 cup water to thin soup if desired. Stir in cilantro and lime if using.

Serve warm and finish with desired toppings.
