A RESURRECTED LIFE ROMANS 5:8-9 "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's condemnation"

Romans 5:8-9 "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's condemnation." During this time of year, the obvious subject of discussion for Believers should be the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In fact, many people who seldom attend church will voluntarily attend on what is traditionally known as “Resurrection Sunday.” This time creates an automatic response of reflection of what Jesus did for all mankind. However, I want you to also remember that if you have been saved, you too have a “Resurrected life.” The greatest miracle of the cross is that it caused all of us to pass from death to eternal life in Jesus, now we no longer have to be condemned! No matter what you use to do or who you use to be, your life has been forever changed because of the blood of Jesus. The good news of salvation is that we are not under any more obligation to suffer like the world, we have been redeemed. In order to enjoy this

resurrected life, you should do the following four things each day: Reflect on the day that you got saved!  Reject any of Satan’s suggestions to be in condemnation. Realign with God quickly. If you happen to make a mistake; He will forgive you.  Renew your mind to the Word of God by constantly hearing and reading God’s word.

Salvation Prayer If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer in faith, and you will be saved!

Dear Heavenly Father,  I come to You in the Name of  Jesus.  According to Romans 10: 9-10,  Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. I believe there is a   Your word say that standard of living that God "if thou shalt confess had in mind for us when with thy mouth the He resurrected us from Lord Jesus, and shalt our sins; this standard is believe in thine heart “abundant life.” Since Jesus that God has raised him from the dead, died for us, there is thou shalt be saved. absolutely no reason for us For with the heart to fall prey to constant man believeth unto thoughts of condemnation. righteousness; and You have been resurrected! with the mouth Enjoy this new season of confession is made Spring and embrace all of unto salvation." the rich blessings that God I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in has in store for you. my heart that God raised Him from the With Love, dead. Can I Be Popular and a Christian at School? “No. I don’t drink! I’m a Christian. I don’t care how popular it is” said Jennifer after talking to some of her friends after lunch. Drinking (along with other "risky behaviors") is something that is popular among adolescent aged youth. Popularity is something that has been around for years. Youth battle with the balance of being popular and being a Christian. Popularity isn’t a sin. It’s the motive and behaviors that go along with popularity and to whom it’s popular amongst. According to 1 John 2:15-17, Christians are to be “in the world” and not “of the world”. In the world it’s popular to drink, party, hook up, be dishonorable towards authority, etc., yet the Bible teaches us to do the opposite. We are told to "be imitators of God" and "put off our old self and be renewed in our mind." When we do such actions, we begin to become more like Christ and less like the world. We begin doing what pleases God rather than man (even if it is ourselves). Popularity is good when used to glorify God. Some examples include Jesus, Paul, David, Solomon, Mary (Jesus' mother), and even our Pastor. These are a few examples of people God used and made popular to further

His Kingdom and agenda. You too, as a youth, can be popular. You can be that guy who is known to profess Christ and happens to be the star football player on the team (imagine the influence that you'll have to bring youth to Christ). You may be that young lady who never disrespects her teacher, parent(s), or any type of authority and you're known (popular) because of what you choose and choose not to do. You see, popularity isn't a sin. It's the intent of the heart and the actions that follow which makes it a sin or not. How do you want to be known? By pleasing and promoting Christ or known as pleasing man? -Korina Pittman

Youth Ministry Highlight The Youth Christian Education focus for the month of March and April is called, Truth Series: Understanding the Fundamental Tenets of our Christian Faith. The scriptural reference for this series is taken from Luke 1:4; so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. The primary goal of this series is that our youth not only know the basic tenants of our faith (what we believe) but that they have an understanding of those tenets, and can verbally express them

"He died, but more importantly, He rose again, as a conqueror over death"

by Lady Rogers

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: The Greatest Truth 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received:  that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures."

There has never been, neither will there ever be, no other truth that has the ability to change lives like, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a story that has been told and retold for thousands of years, yet, like the dawning of a new day, it is always new and refreshing! This truth is the single most important truth of the Christian faith.  Other truths in the Bible are important, but the Resurrection is essential; for had Christ not risen from the dead, then our faith is useless. Indeed, without the Resurrection, we might as well forget God, church, Christianity, and so much more.  Without the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, all that we are and all that we do would be meaningless;

doubtless, it would all be a lie (1 Corinthians 15:14)! But the glorious truth is Christ did not remain in the grave! He died, but more importantly, He rose again, as a conqueror over death! And because of this truth, we who accepted Him as Lord, are set free from the power of sin and death and possess the wonderful hope of eternal life! In light of this amazing truth, we should live every day no longer for ourselves but for His glory, while anticipating His return with joy! Hallelujah!! First Lady Stephanie Rogers

" Th e Pow er of Accou n t abilit y " By: Nicholas Halmon Quite a few people living among today's society tend to r un away from taking necessar y accountability for their behavior s and mistakes. Accountability via an inter net reference means answer ability, blamewor thiness, liability, and the expectation of account- giving. The quickest getaway natur ally for some of us as humans is to pass the blame in order to release the guiltiness or heaviness that initially plagues us. But do you ever think about what could happen to the other per son? What consequences they may face depending on the situation? As a Babylonian society we expect to see cer tain behavior s played out amongst our peer s but as Pastor Roger s always says, "we shouldn't let the world's ways influence or define us". I've definitely grown tremendously under this ministr y and the different systems in place

which in retur n by being accountable to leader ship has helped me to recondition from old worldly habits. As someone who has grown dr amatically in all facets of life, I solemnly ur ge each member of KCC to tr uly submit to our Pastor and be accountable in all areas of your life. Moreover one thing that I have really come to realize as I've made great changes thus far in my life is that it takes tr ue men and women to own up to their mistakes. Pr over bs 28:13 says, "People who conceal their sins will not pr osper, but if they confess and tur n fr om them, they will r eceive mer cy." From this one scr ipture we can der ive the lesson that not being tr uthful in confession to God will hur t us mightily but if we openly confess and tur n from our sins it is then that He will exhibit his mercy.

The Mcqueen Family Tim and Cecilia McQueen joined Kingdom Christian Church in June 2016. They have three children: Tariq, Alana, and Gabrielle.  Tim is the owner of McQueen Tax and Financial Services LLC and Cecilia works as an Investment Product Manager.  During their free time, they enjoy family time with their kids, watching sports, playing with their dog, and supporting their kids while they participate in their favorite sports. When asked what led them to join KCC, Cecilia stated “I truly know that the Holy Spirit led us to KCC. However, the invite came from a few of our friends. Ever since then our lives have been forever changed. We are grateful to have a Pastor and First Lady that have been balanced in their teaching and always consistent with the word of God. We have been taught how to be Comprehensive Christians in which we have experienced nothing but growth. Our marriage is stronger, we have experienced increase in many aspects of our lives, and our children’s personal performance and development at home and in school have had great results since joining KCC.”

He led me to Kingdom Christian Church where I have grown tremendously and seen increase within every facet of my life. I recently accepted a new position within a fortune five hundred company and it has been a pleasant experience to say the least. One that I may or may not have been afforded had I not allowed God to use the people of KCC to guide me through multiple processes that I’ve encountered since becoming a member of Kingdom Christian Church. The leadership of Pastor Rogers and the mentorship of the discipleship program have helped me in the area of not trusting my wants and desires but instead seeking God and His wisdom. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the summer of 2018 with every intention of becoming a college football coach. I have been blessed to have been around the game for a long time. Because of my in depth knowledge of the sport, I felt very confident in my chances of having a career in football. Needless to say corporate America and the confines of a computer desk were things I never saw myself enjoying. Upon graduating I accepted an offer to become a graduate assistant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I came back to visit during the bye week of the football season. After service Pastor Rogers yelled out “come on back home Cam”. I heard him crystal clear and was back in Charlotte two weeks later. I didn’t know how everything was going to work out, but I did know Pastor Rogers wasn’t just saying that to say it. While I was in Pittsburgh, Pastor Rogers preached a sermon on “The Key Man”. I quickly came to the realization that Pastor Rogers is my key man. Equipped with obedience and faith, I made the trip back and I met with pastor. I sowed a seed and he gave me some great advice. The next thing I knew we had a job fair after church and I was shaking hands with family members who also happened to be in the position to give me an opportunity. A couple weeks after that I was being issued a company laptop and being shown around a beautiful building. God has really used Pastor Rogers and KCC to bless me and I am extremely grateful.

U.S. Opinion: My Take On Recent Political Moves

by Nicholas Halmon

As I've recently probed around the different media outlets looking for a fix of news hits from both major political parties, I can't help but to see more and more of the clear divisiveness between the two. It's gone as far as people of whom I know don't know or study politics expressing lurid feelings towards select political figures. Recently I saw in the news where a California middle school hosted an LGBT event with a drag queen but didn't bother to inform or seek consent from the parents ahead of time. An excerpt from an article on went as follows, "You did what?!" Parents across Santa Ana couldn't believe it. In one house after another, the answer to "How was school today?" was nothing like they expected.

Moms and dads listened in disbelief as their middle schoolers talked about going to an "LGBT Fair" that no one bothered to ask their permission for. There were even people in drag, their 11year-olds said, giving makeup lessons — right there in school." Any Christian parent would be perplexed to know that such activity took place without them knowing. It shows the great lengths that many liberal agendas will reach for. Across the country in other news, the Ohio Senate is probably making the most advancements compared to any other state when it comes to shutting down abortion. They are currently engaging in a plethora of bills and appeals that will essentially cut out all abortions in the

state. The recently passed "Heartbeat Bill" now heads to the house where it's expected to pass before reaching their new governor, Mike DeWine of whom has already pledged to sign the bill into law. Their federal appeals court has also recently upheld a ruling that would block public money from Planned Parenthood. The bills sponsor, Sen Kristina Roegner stated, “How a human is conceived doesn’t make it any more or less human," in response to democrats trying to make a case for rape and incest exceptions for abortions. While these advancements are still being made it’s very important for us to continue to live consecrated lives as we remain fixed on the agenda of Jesus Christ.

Attention Ladies Make plans to attend Women’s Weekend 2019!! Our theme this year is God Esteem taken from Proverbs 31:10, “An excellent woman, who is he who can find her?  Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies and pearls”

My Experience Volunteering at Dove's Nest Volunteering at Dove’s Nest was a great experience for me, it gave me an opportunity to sit down and talk with the ladies that are there temporarily, and gave me the opportunity to serve them.   The ladies I spoke with were saved and loved God, they were determined to not look at their situation as a setback, but a setup for a better quality of life. Serving at Dove's Nest gives people an opportunity to give back to the community.  You are doing good for others and the community.  You are touching the life of others through your selfless service that makes it rewarding to serve at Dove’s Nest.   - Audrey McCaskill
