Dear Msgr Valent,

Lots of greetings from Arusha, Tanzania. I am very grateful to our benefactors for their continued support in aid of our projects. We are proceeding very well.

The chapel is doing well, soon work will start on the roofing structure, aluminium doors and windows have been secured and the work is going on at the workshop. This month we hope to complete the works at the chapel. The chicken house is under construction; I have already procured the chicken cages and very soon chicks will be brought in order to start the project. There have been delays due to COVID‑19 and there is scarcity of chicks

in Tanzania, so we have to import them.

I am very grateful to Missio Malta and to all our benefactors for such great support. Attached are some of the photos on the progress of the works.

I would like to assure you that we, the Pallottines, always pray for you in our masses. We pray that God continues blessing you and all our benefactors with the gift of eternal life.

Dear Msgr,

I hope and pray that you are keeping fine and safe. We are all going through a very difficult time and many of us are facing a seriously challenging situation on account of the ongoing COVID‑19 pandemic. Now, slowly, the situation is getting better, but there is always the threat of a third wave of the virus Delta and its variants in India. Please keep us in your valuable prayers and in your positive thoughts.

Monsoon rains are pouring out heavily in some parts of India. Widespread rainfall is seen all across. My mission work is going on as usual with ups and downs during this pandemic. I have nearly 25 single mothers in my area. One fine morning, a couple of them called me stating that they have no groceries. When I approached my friends they generously helped to get groceries kits for these mothers and the very needy homeless people. From last year, March 2020 till this

date, giving ration kits to the homeless, to the needy and to the single mothers is going on. Many thanks to the donors. Helping the less fortunate people is like walking the word of Jesus Christ: “I was hungry ‑ you gave me food.” I invited a couple of these single mothers and their children to my house and encouraged them to trust in the Lord that he listens to their grievances during this tough time. It was nice to have lunch with them. They felt that they were honoured and respected.

Secondly, there is a small church that is coming up in the mission. The construction has reached the final stage. Only flooring, painting and electrical work remain. On the top of the church I wish to place a Jesus Christ statue (blessing everybody) in the middle and on both sides two angels’ statues. Now the statue makers have to paint them.
