MINERAL RESOURCES GRADUATE PROGRAM

LAUNCH YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER WITH ONE OF AUSTRALIA’S FASTEST GROWING MINING COMPANIES

When I do pottery it’s about creating something for my family, for my friends. It’s a part of me which I can share with others. Just like life, you can create and mould pottery the way you want it to go.

My goal in life is to leave a positive impact on the world. So, working at MinRes I feel like I get to do that. The best thing about working at MinRes is you can make an impact; everyone counts and every single bit of work that you do counts as well.

I recently moved back to Perth after living interstate and abroad for more than 20 years. I wanted to meet new people and get involved in my local community, so I completed my Bronze Medallion and now I volunteer as a Surf Life Saver.

MinRes is a dynamic and agile company. Over the last two years I have worked on a wide variety of projects - I would not have had the opportunity to do this without the graduate program.

I emigrated from Pakistan when I was 11 months old. Family values are probably the most important part of our culture - passing down what we’ve learned from our parents to the next generation.
I feel empowered working at MinRes, they really making a point of handing you responsibility as soon as you are in the business. Seeing your projects come to life, getting out to site, it’s really rewarding.

LIFE AT MINRES

Mineral Resources is committed to reconciliation and recognises and respects the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ communities, cultures and histories. MinRes acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first and continuing custodians of the land and waters and in doing so pays respect to Elders past and present.

Music is storytelling and when I play I feel like I’m telling a story. I embody all of my emotions into the song when I play. It’s a passion that I learned from my dad – he got me hooked on Afro Jazz, and we’d spend hours listening to Oliver Mtukudzi, Hugh Masekela and others. So I learned to play some of their music, and when I do I feel like I’m back home. Cultural change is driven by investment. MinRes is a company that not only invests in its projects but also invests exceptionally in its people.
