MIMUTUAL MORTGAGE

OPPORTUNITY IS KNOCKING.
are you ready to answer?
In the last decade or so, the real estate market has undergone some major shifts – from an abundance of foreclosures to regulatory changes, to the rise in popularity of sites like Zillow and Redfin that made buyers less reliant on agents to find a home, to soaring prices, low inventory, and most recently, a major change in how Realtors are compensated.
Change is inevitable and can be disruptive. However, as the real estate industry continues to evolve, successful real estate professionals know how to adapt and take advantage of the new opportunities that arise.
Becoming a Loan Officer could be just the change you need.
MiMutual Mortgage has a unique opportunity for Real Estate Agents who want to expand their career and maximize their earning potential. By also getting licensed as a Loan Officer, you will be able to receive compensation on both sides of the transaction. As the Real Estate Agent, you will represent your client purchasing a home and will function as the assigned Loan Officer as well.
In other words, when you join MiMutual Mortgage, you can stop leaving money on the (closing) table!

OPEN THE DOOR TO A NEW OPPORTUNITY.
MiMutual Mortgage offers Real Estate Agents the support and guidance needed to become a licensed Loan Officer. Here’s how it works:
• We will pair you up with an experienced Loan Officer to mentor you.
• You will learn how to start a mortgage loan application as well as how the mortgage process works.
• You will receive additional training needed to pass the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) test.
• We will help with the costs of licensing.

Once you are licensed and functioning in a dual role, we give you the tools you need to be successful. MiMutual Mortgage will:
• Group you with a team of lending experts that will assist in all aspects of originating a new loan.
• Assign your mentor to function as your Loan Officer Assistant. The Real Estate Agent-MLO will start the loan process by working with their client on the application. Once the application is submitted, the team takes over the loan process.
• Provide you with a Processor to handle all the paperwork gathering needed to satisfy the loan requirements. This includes contacting all parties involved (borrowers, title companies, appraisers, etc.) to keep them informed as to where the loan at is in the process.
• Ensure your loans close in a timely manner. With an expert in-house team of Closers and Underwriters, our loan process is streamlined and efficient.
THE BENEFITS OF BEING A LICENSED REAL ESTATE AGENT-MLO
When a major shift in an industry occurs, there will undoubtedly be those who benefit and those who fall to the wayside. Being proactive in your career by adding another revenue stream through loan origination, not only benefits you, but the clients you serve. Having dual capability to assist your clients on both the home-search and funding side of a purchase makes you a stand-out in today’s changing real estate market.

OBTAINING YOUR MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATION (MLO) LICENSE YOU:
EXPAND YOUR SKILL SET
Develop a greater understanding of the world of mortgage lending. When you understand the intricacies of mortgage loans, you can better assist your clients in the home search knowing what type of loan may be available for the property in question and whether the client will likely meet the loan requirements.
STREAMLINE THE PROCESS AND PROVIDE A FULL CIRCLE EXPERIENCE
Have you ever felt out of the loop and left wondering what is going on with the client’s financing? When you are both Realtor and Loan Officer, it eliminates delays and miscommunication about the mortgage process. When you are part of the loan process, you will know with confidence when and if the deal will close and you can better inform your client of the next steps. From helping your client execute their home search, to negotiating conditions and pricing, to getting the home financing that is right for them, you can provide an end-to-end service that you own the entire way through. It helps build trust, enhances client relationships, and reduces the amount of people involved in a transaction.
WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER
Becoming a Loan Officer with MiMutual Mortgage does not mean getting a second 9 to 5 job. It also does not mean you have to put your real estate career on the back burner. Starting your client’s mortgage application can be done at your time and pace. Once the application is submitted, your Loan Officer Assistant and the mortgage team assist with the rest of the process.
INCREASE COMMISSIONS AND DIVERSIFY YOUR SOURCES OF INCOME
With a dual revenue stream, you increase your earnings from each client transaction without a lot of extra effort on your end. (You will just need to start the application). As a Loan Officer, you will not only be able to earn commissions on the loan’s origination but will also benefit when your client decides to refinance in the future! (And let’s be honest, we are all waiting for the rates to drop and start the second wave of the refinance boom).

We understand that the success of our Loan Officers equates to the success of our company. While many lenders require Loan Officers with a real estate license to put buying and selling real estate on pause, we believe you are fully capable of doing both successfully. That’s why we will ensure you have the tools you need as you transition into your role as Real Estate Agent-MLO.
