Jerry Miller, Owner and CEO of The Miller Group, and the Payne family have formed a new joint venture in Virginia Beach. The project located at the intersection of Progress Lane and Bowland Parkway consists of 18 acres of prime industrial real estate. In collaboration with the talented design teams from Kimley Horn and Covington Hendrix Anderson Architects, we’re working on a master site plan that will transform the area into four distinct parcels, offering over 200,000 square feet of available space. Stay tuned as we continue to develop this exciting project!

Dominion Energy

Balicore Construction is making significant progress at Fairwinds Landing constructing the Dominion control center for offshore wind. The LEED Silver MCC Building’s structure is now complete, with interior framing and rough ins currently in progress. Additionally, the building is temporarily driedin, ensuring protection during the construction process. The warehouse building’s structure is also finished, with the exterior wall and roof insulated metal panels completed. The new Pier project is in the final design stages.

New Realm Brewing
Suffolk
We recently celebrated the grand opening of New Realm Brewing in Suffolk at our development, Blue Point at the Riverfront! This marks New Realm’s 6th location and 2nd in Virginia. New Realm also has locations in Atlanta, Charleston, Greenville, and Auburn. The Suffolk location is designed to offer an unparalleled experience, with craft beer, spirits, and great food complemented by live music, outdoor seating, and a rooftop bar with stunning views of the beer garden and
concert stage. Our dedicated team has been hard at work for over two years on this project. It was a joy to celebrate this milestone with our team, as well as New Realm Brewing owner Carey Falcone and Mayor Michael Duman! We are excited to announce that Penzance has officially broken ground on 36 acres we sold in July. Construction commenced in October, and we are thrilled to share that the distribution facility will span an impressive 443,000 square feet with a cross-docked warehouse.

Pete Buryk - Chief Administrative Officer
We are thrilled to welcome Pete Buryk as our new Chief Administrative Officer. Pete will oversee our Finance and Accounting, Treasury, IT, Human Resources, and Safety departments in support of our multiple business leaders.
Pete joins us from the City of Norfolk, where he excelled in various community-facing and internal services roles. Most recently, he served as the Director of Budget and Strategic Planning, where he successfully led the development and execution of the city’s $1.9 billion annual financial plan and $1.4 billion Capital Improvement Plan. His expertise in data analytics and grants management has significantly contributed to the city’s operational efficiency.
