What an astounding and incredible year this has been. The journey of creating the Millennial Cowirl Magazine has been one of life's greatest adventures that I have had the liberty to pursue. It is always so amazing to me that we find our passions in some of the darkest moments in our life and they blossom into something very real and tangible. Without all of you readers, this would not be possible for me. It is with great appreciation that I have so many loyal readers to keep me up at night working on the things I love the most. I also can't believe the relationships I've built with some of the industries finest women and I am always here rooting for you! Millennial Cowgirl was a whimsical dream at first. I had no idea what I was doing, but just that I had to keep going for something. It has lit a fire in my soul to keep pursuing this endeavor and I am so excited for what the year 2021 will bring for Millennial Cowgirl.

We hope in the year of 2021 to be traveling more than ever. We would love to meet and interview you in person, doing exactly what we all love. Our merchandise sales are only just beginning. Millennial Cowgirl was created to bring light to the women of the stock horse show industry and I think we achieved that. We cannot wait to have even more of you amazing ladies in our pages or the amazing show clothes you have created. I appreciate each and everyone of you, thank you so much for supporting my dreams.

It is time to introduce the amazing woman behind

Lionized Designs

Maddy Begonia

Lionized Designs

Growing up, her family always loved animals and always had pets, but unfortunately never had any large animals. There was a farm whose pasture ended at their backyard and Maddy always watched the horses. She eventually started sneaking to the barn after school to

muck stalls and feed the horses. At the age of 11, Maddy was able to lease her first pony and at 12, her parents got Maddy her first horse. After that, they became a horse family and the bug bit her. Maddy was

heavily involved in 4-H growing up, then was on the equestrian team in college, and is now showing heavily on the AQHA circuit. There has been a lot of paths and journeys in between that has made her into the horsewoman she is today, but now it has become 100% of her life, and she couldn't be happier.

she gets "designer block", and other days she can think of some amazing ideas. The hardest part for Maddy was actually believing in herself as an artist to make the leap into running her business full time. She had to have 100% faith in herself as a determined woman to be successful. When Maddy first started Lionized Designs, she had a very comfy 9-5 job she was at for 9 years. It was a major lifestyle change and there is never a day off. Making sure what Maddy is envisioning as a final piece is exactly what the customer is as well, is the next hardest thing. She works closely with every single garment and every single customer, Bling-It-Yourself or World class stoned piece, to make sure it exceeds their expectations and it is exactly what they want. The easiest part is writing the thank you note that gets packed up with her garments when they leave to their new home. Maddy appreciates every order that comes across her table. She creates every single one of her garments from sketch to final piece. The thing she enjoys the most is the doing what she loves. She is only as successful as she wants to be, and Maddy always dreams big. She pushes herself to always do better and continuing to learn her craft.

What Maddy loves more than anything is making all of her customers happy, excited, and feeling their best. Every single message she gets where the customer is over the moon happy with that she created, is so much more rewarding than anything. Maddy values every single customer. because without them, she wouldn't be where she is at today. She loves getting photos and updates, and the best feeling she says, is actually seeing her garments winning in the pen! Maddy always comes up with great ideas and unique pieces. Be prepared to see Lionized Designs more, because she wants to branch out! Make sure to follow them throughout the year on their social media to keep up to date on the latest piece!

Bob's Custom Saddles are one of the few western performance saddle companies that makes saddles for every major western discipline- from the western pleasure and all-around events to reining and cow horse, to very specialized events like mounted shooting. They know a close-contact ride is important, so that is where they start. They then make adjustments to skirt patterns, fender placement, horn style, and potentially trees and seats if needed for each appropriate discipline.

was founded in 1977 by Bob Harley who owned a western store in Scottsdale, Arizona at the time. Bob, himself, still works with the company every day. They actually still have some members of the family of their original craftsmen who work with them still today. Bob's main goal was to create a saddle that allowed for a close-contact ride and allowed the rider to be in the correct position while riding. He wanted to get the rider as close to the horse as possible, which he started doing in his designs from the begining. As they have adapted and changed over the years to accomodate trends and different disciplines, they always strive to honor and uphold that foundation.

For each specific rider, they offer custom fender lengths based on their inseam, measured crotch to floor. Fender length is critical to overall saddle performance. If fenders are let out too far, or pulled up through the tree too much, you will lose the ability to move your legs appropriately. Bob's offers several different seat styles with three primary rises that are used across disciplines. Discipline does not necessarily have to dictate seat style. Though it is common to say have a flat

seat in cutting, or more rise for an equitation seat, the rider can ultimately dictate what seat style they want based on what is most comfortable for them and the way they ride. In silver show or work saddles, they most commonly use their DL or California style seats. The DL is a little flatter, offering the rider more ability to move around the saddle. The California has more rise, which makes it an equitation style seat, ideal for the horsemanship and all-around events. When deciding on your next saddle maker, Bob's Custom Saddles tenants as a company are to stand behind their Quality, Craftsmanship, and Performance. They start with high-quality raw materials including wood, rawhide-covered trees, Hermann Oak's top-grade heavy skirting leather and real sheepskin. Their expert craftsmen then hand-lay their ground seats, hand tool and handstitch their seats and cantles. From the tree up, their saddles are made to last decades.

In the NRHA Open Division alone, Bob's Custom Saddles have been ridden to earn more than $20M. They have had multiple World Champions riding our saddles in many different disciplines. They've been represented by different breeds at national and international shows. That diversity of performance is something they are very proud of. Bob's has thousands of saddles that are out being ridden; and one of the coolest things is to hear from someone that they are still riding or just bought a saddle that is over 30 years old. That longevity is very important to them. In fact, they keep records of every saddle they've ever built. Bob's offers a Lady Reiner and Lady Cowhorse model that both feature a highrising narrow padded seat. Bob's can add this extra narrow padding to a show or work saddle if desired. While they do offer these Ladies models, not every female rider may want an extremely narrow seat- or a male
