ustomers find things that actually fit here – and it’s not because of stretchy lycra,” says Olive. “We design to flatter and fit a woman’s body. Even slim size 8’s change shape as they mature.” “We design for all figures, such as pear shapes for example, with size 12 tops and 14 around the hips – or the other way around, using the best silks from luxury fabric suppliers, pretty cottons, and fashionable laces. Everything’s made in Canterbury. There is no voluminous fabric. Dresses, skirts, jackets and boleros are lined and slink elegantly over the silhouette, instead of clinging. “We recommend wearing what we call a ‘false advertising’ bra too - for extra uplifting elegance.” From weddings to award ceremonies - it’s the time to dress up, especially when the cameras are out. “As women, we often get stuck in outdated beliefs of what suits us. A lady came in who’d never worn red, and walked out looking stunning in her new red dress. We encourage playing dress up here. Everyone relaxes, laughs and has a fabulous time, and we welcome those who to just want to have a try on too.
