Minutes Approved
The minutes of June J, 1946, were read anG upon motion of Mr. Williams, seconGeG by Mr. RicharGson were approved as read. At this point Mr. Hisel was presented with a gavel made under the direction of Mr. E. J. Spady in the- woodworking shop of the Vocational and Industrial Arts Department. This was in accordance with the custom of presenting each incoming president of the Board with a gavel made in the school shfops.

Gavel Presented to Incomin President
Mr. Richardson moved that the Board approve the re-election for the school year 1946-47 of Administrative, Instructional, Secretarial, Custodial and Service Department personnel as listed on Exhibit A, subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Education relating to leaves of absence, retirement, resignations, etc. These employees are to be elected subject to assignment and salaries to be fixed by the Board of Education after the approval of the budget for 1946-47. All contracts will carry the usual provision as to availability of funds. In the case of employees who are on regular duty prior to the approval of the budget, the salaries are to be . paid according to the 1945-46 schedule until such budgets are approved; after their salaries are fixed, said salaries will be retroactive to July 1, 1946. The motion was seconded by Mr. Williams and upon roll call carried unanimously.

Re-electio of Employees Approved
The following information was submitted: All assignments will remain the same for the school year 1946-47 as that of 1945-46 unless individuals are or have been notified to the contrary.

The question was raised as to the application to the Reserve and Advisory ' t Residence of List, of the rule of the Board requiring teachers to live within Oklahoma City Reserve or environs. After some discussion this question was referred to Mr. Lybrand] for advice to be brought back to the Board for further consideration. ’ Teachers
A salary schedule for clerical employees effective for the school year 1946-47 was submitted to the members of the Board for study.

Upon motion of Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Richardson the following resignations were accepted:

TEACHERS Fleming, Alice, Mrs., to further her professional Art career. Effective June 10, 1946. Teacher of Art, Foster Junior-Senior High School, salary $2,000., has been in the system 3 years. SECRETARIES Jones, Vergle, Miss, because of her marriage and change in residence, effective June 15, 1946. Secretary and Payroll Clerk in the Personnel Office, salary $130.00 per month, has been with the system one year.
