Rooted in rich academic and field-based experiences, our Community Engagement program prepares you to pursue a successful career that makes an impact. With an emphasis on social justice, our program will prepare you to address society’s most pressing issues. Students in our program are passionate about addressing important problems and needs through community organizing and partnerships.

The M.Ed. in Community Engagement is 36 credit hours ($25,488)
Applicants for full and part-time study (excluding fellowships) are eligible for the Dean Scholarship, which is awarded based on merit and need. This generous scholarship, in addition to our already low tuition, can help you save significantly on tuition costs.

Merrimack’s community engagement graduate program attracts individuals who want to help communities, transform organizations and create a more just, equitable society. The program is committed to core values of inclusion, change and social justice, and it offers robust training for promoting these values through local activism and global citizenship.
Merrimack faculty and students apply the principles of community engagement to affect change on a number of fronts. You’ll have the opportunity to conduct research, gain field experience, forge partnerships and pursue careers related to community issues such as:
