Degree Overview

The M.S. in Applied Chemistry is a 36-credit program that has an emphasis on research and developing laboratory skills, while simultaneously developing your leadership skills. You will take a set of foundational courses and electives, which will complement your research project. The program has been designed to empower you to achieve your personal and professional goals in an accelerated time frame.

The M.S. in Applied Chemistry is 36 credit hours ($37,008)

 Applicants for full and part-time study (excluding fellowships) are eligible for the Dean Scholarship, which is awarded based on merit and need. This generous scholarship, in addition to our already low tuition, can help you save significantly on tuition costs.

Students gain experience on instrumentation utilized in laboratories, which prepares them for a range of careers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, environmental work and medical research.

Laboratory based, Master’s level research course, in which students work with a faculty member as a part of their research team working on complex chemical problems.

Graduate Seminar: Presenting and Careers

Students will learn how to present chemical data to a wide audience and the job skills needed to be competitive when entering the job market.
