The M.S. in Civil Engineering is 32 credit hours ($32,896)
Applicants for full- and part-time study (excluding fellowships) are eligible for the Dean Scholarship, which is awarded based on merit and need. This generous scholarship, in addition to our already low tuition, can help you save significantly on tuition costs.

Admission Requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university OR
A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology in a different Engineering major (e.g., environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering management) with at least two of the following required design courses as prerequisites:
• Structural Analysis and Design
• Environmental Engineering
• Geotechnical or Foundation Engineering
• Transportation Engineering
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a closely related field will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Optional Engineering Management Focus
Merrimack’s master’s degree in civil engineering includes an optional engineering management specialization that prepares you for supervisory roles and leadership positions in project or construction management. You’ll take graduate courses in both engineering and business, developing skills that distinguish you in the civil engineering job market and have high value to employers.
