SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2024
Dear Friends of the Boys & Girls Club,
Once again, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to chair this year’s 52nd Annual Boys & Girls Club Auction. We are so excited about this year’s theme, " Tiki Hideaway," a night of tropical fun dedicated to supporting the incredible young people in our community. We’ve planned a spectacular night with live music, a silent and live auction, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters. Whether you're wearing your best Hawaiian shirt or favorite tropical attire, embrace the Tiki spirit!
Putting on an iconic event of this magnitude is a team effort, and we could not have done it without the hard work of our auction committee and volunteers. We would also like to thank the Board of Directors and Staff for their continued support.
It is the generous contributions of our sponsors, guests, businesses, and individuals that help make this event a success each year. The proceeds raised this evening will ensure that the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club can continue to offer the programs that serve the youth and families in our community.

Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley has been making a positive impact since its formation in 1968. Its mission is to inspire and enable all youth, particularly those who need support the most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens. As a chartered member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Club is part of an organization with over 4,000 clubs nationwide, collectively serving over four million youth annually.
The Club is guided by a dedicated volunteer board of directors comprised of outstanding community leaders. A passionate team of Youth Development Professionals is responsible for creating a nurturing environment for the youth, supported by invaluable contributions of volunteers. Each year, the Club’s programs, services, and outreach positively impact the lives of over 5,000 children and teenagers. As part of its growth, Club has recently opened 5 new locations in the Newhall School District, expanding its reach and enhancing its ability to serve the community.
At the Club’s ten locations in the Santa Clarita Valley, including Castaic, Canyon Country, and Newhall, young people actively engage in a diverse array of programs and activities across core program areas. These areas include Character & Leadership, Education, The Arts, Health & Wellness, Workforce Readiness, and Sports & Recreation. Participants enjoy a wide range of experiences, from receiving homework assistance and going on exciting field trips to participating in sports leagues and exploring their creativity through art projects. The Club strives to provide a well-rounded and enriching experience for all youth in the community.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization. It operates with a commitment to inclusivity and community service. Despite its significant impact, the Club offers affordable membership fees, amounting to just $60 per year for the first child and $45 for each additional child in a household. To sustain its programs and initiatives, the Club relies on various sources of financial support, including private and corporate donations, grants, and special events such as the Auction, Great Futures Breakfast, and Festival of Trees. These contributions play a crucial role in empowering the Club to continue its valuable work in the community.
The board, staff, and volunteers wholeheartedly express their gratitude to all the individuals and organizations that have played a vital role in providing a second home, nurturing leaders, and fostering academic success for the youth of Santa Clarita. Your support and dedication have made a profound impact on the lives of the community’s young people, and your contributions are sincerely appreciated.

Great news! Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley accepts securities donations. Make a bigger impact by donating long-term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to The Club. This is in comparison to donating cash (after tax wages) or selling your appreciated securities and then contributing the after-tax proceeds. This especially makes sense if you are taking the standard deduction (vs. itemizing your deduction). You can avoid a 15%20% capital gain tax and instantly increase your tax savings which may allow you to increase your overall donation. It’s simple and easy, ask us how! Securities donations may be used to purchase auction items.
