Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley has been making a positive impact since its formation in 1968. Its mission is to inspire and enable all youth, particularly those who need support the most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens. As a chartered member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Club is part of an organization with over 4,000 clubs nationwide, collectively serving over four million youth annually.

The Club is guided by a dedicated volunteer board of directors comprised of outstanding community leaders. A passionate team of Youth Development Professionals is responsible for creating a nurturing environment for the youth, supported by invaluable contributions of volunteers. Each year, the Club’s programs, services, and outreach positively impact the lives of over 5,000 children and teenagers. As part of its growth, the Club has recently opened five new locations in the Newhall School District.

At the Club’s ten locations in the Santa Clarita Valley, including Castaic, Canyon Country, and Newhall, young people actively engage in a diverse array of programs and activities across core program areas. These areas include Character & Leadership, Education, The Arts, Health & Wellness, Workforce Readiness, and Sports & Recreation. Participants enjoy a wide range of experiences, from receiving homework assistance

and going on exciting field trips to participating in sports leagues and exploring their creativity through art projects. The Club strives to provide a well-rounded and enriching experience for all youth in the community.

Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization. It operates with a commitment to inclusivity and community service. Despite its significant impact, the Club offers affordable membership fees, amounting to just $60 per year for the first child and $45 for each additional child in a household. To sustain its programs and initiatives, the Club relies on various sources of financial support, including private and corporate donations, grants, and special events such as the Auction, Great Futures Breakfast, and Festival of Trees.

These contributions

play a crucial role in empowering the Club to continue its valuable work in the community.

The board, staff, and volunteers wholeheartedly express their gratitude to all the individuals and organizations that have played a vital role in providing a second home, nurturing leaders, and fostering academic success for the youth of Santa Clarita. Meet the Designers Krisi Dervin

Over the past eight years, Krisi has stood as an unwavering pillar of the Festival of Trees, initially stepping in as a centerpiece designer for the Magic of the Lights Gala in 2016. Since that pivotal moment, Krisi has seamlessly transitioned into various crucial roles, serving as a Tree Designer, Event Chair, Committee Member, and Lead Designer for the Festival of Trees. Beyond her exceptional contributions to this cherished event, Krisi’s impact extends across the community as the President of the National Charity League, a pivotal Community Liaison for the Innovation Show Choir, and an active member of the West Ranch High School Cheer Fundraising Committee.

Amid her numerous community engagements, Krisi keeps her focus on the roles closest to her heart – that of a devoted wife to Andy and an adoring mother to four beautiful girls. Blessed with unwavering family support, Krisi continues her philanthropic work, leaving an indelible mark throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

Tara Meaney

Tara Meaney, is an Interior Designer and owner of Tara Meaney Interior Design in Santa Clarita. She has been a tree designer for Festival of Trees for 6 years. Having been a designer in Las Vegas for many years she enjoys the theme designing of the trees and likes the challenge of working on any size, shape or color tree. She looks forward to the Festival of Trees each year because of the teamwork and camaraderie among the designers who spend many hours together and produce the beautiful trees.

Her professional memberships include the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

Tara is a seasoned designer with a wide range of expertise having worked on multi-million hospitality, institutional and church projects. Currently she is a residential designer who specializes in residential new builds, and kitchen and bath remodels. She has worked on projects in the Santa Clarita Valley, Ventura, and Nashville.

In 2021 Tara was the founding President of the National Charity League Santa Clarita Valley. She is still currently on the board

serving as VP Chapter Engagement and Inclusion. The National Charity League is an organization that fosters the relationship between mothers and daughters as well as teaching leadership and cultural awareness. The local chapter provides assistance to the Boys and Girls Club throughout the year by volunteering at their various events.

Tina Martindelcampo

This is Tina’s 10th year designing trees for the Festival of Trees Gala. Tina is a Los Angeles & Santa Clarita based Interior Designer, specializing in residential and commercial design. Her expertise also includes E-Design, which is a tech savvy 2D format that brings any client’s vision to life online. Her design philosophy is to ensure that every client is happy and that each living space directly reflects their personality.

Kendra Moss

Kendra has been a dedicated tree designer and participant in the Festival of Trees for five years. This annual event has become a cherished family tradition for Kendra and her loved ones, a joyful occasion they eagerly anticipate each year.

Meet the Designers Kathy Rutherford

Kathy Rutherford is the owner of Oh So Pretty Vintage Rentals, a local specialty rental and event design company. This is her fifth year decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees.. She’s also helped with the gala several times. “This is a very worthwhile cause. I’m always happy to help with whatever they need.”

Alicia Tilley

With over two decades of creativity in graphic design and marketing communications, Alicia Tilley is a seasoned professional in the industry. Alicia’s passion for impactful communication extends beyond the professional realm as she is committed to giving back to the community, sharing her design expertise to various youth-focused organizations.

Among her favorites is the Boys and Girls Club’s Festival of Trees event, where creativity, charity and holiday cheer come together to support and enhance the lives of families in the community.

Jill and Kelsey, a dynamic motherdaughter duo, are self-taught decorators with unique talents. Jill, a part-time floral designer, combines her skills with Kelsey’s background in fine art and marketing. Both believe their creativity is a divine gift, and collaborating on projects like decorating is a meaningful way to express their shared talents while giving back to the community.

Generosity runs deep in their family; Jill has dedicated an impressive 20 years volunteering for the Festival, specializing in tabletop tree design, while Kelsey began her tree decorating journey 14 years ago.

Together, they continue to make a positive impact through their creative endeavors.

Margie Hoffman is crucial to the success of the design weekends, acting as the coordinator of the decorations, supplies and materials used to decorate all of the Christmas trees. She also manages the hundreds of high school students who volunteer during the design weekends. This is Margie’s 12th year in this role, but she has been involved with Festival of Trees for 15 years

Ali Brown

Linee, a self-taught designer, eagerly anticipates the Festival each year as her ultimate creative outlet. Celebrating her 20th year, she continues to passionately design and decorate tabletop trees, making a lasting mark on this cherished event.

Margie Hoffman

This is Ali Brown’s second year designing a tree. She has worked the event in other capacities in the past and has always loved all the beautiful trees. In 2020, she started Touch of Gray Event Rentals & Design and is so happy to be able to support the Boys & Girls Club this year.

Cindy Dadik

This is Cindy’s second year decorating for the Festival of Trees. She’s excited to be involved with such a wonderful organization, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley. Her background consists of 20 years experience as a home furnishings buyer and product developer working for catalog houses Frontgate and Spiegel. Cindy got involved with the Boys and Girls Club through the National Charity League - a mother/ daughter charity organization. She loves the design aspect of the tree festival, the camaraderie of the National Charity League, and the mission of the Boys & Girls Club.

Taylor Dadik

Taylor Dadik is a senior at Valencia High School. She got involved with the Boys and Girls Club through SCV National Charity League, a mother/daughter volunteer organization. She has been with NCL for over two years and is currently the president of her class. Taylor has a great passion for art: making jewelry, crocheting, sculpting, and painting with acrylics. Now in her second year of creating for the Festival of Trees she is excited to combine her passion for creativity and her love for her community. In the fall Taylor plans on attending college majoring in Criminology and minoring in Interior Design.

Meet the Designers Kylie Combs

Hi I’m Kylie! I’m married to my husband, Jesse; and we have three kids, Jack (5), Lucy (2), and Ellie (14 months). I’m also a 6th grade teacher for the Newhall school district.

I love anything holiday related and love creating holiday magic for my family and everyone around me!

Shannan Harrington and Beth Fair

Shannan and Beth share a close friendship, consistently participating in their children’s activities. They find joy in decorating, laughter, and actively contributing to their community. Despite Shannan’s recent move to South Carolina, she made a special trip back to join Beth in the Festival of Trees.

Tarah Browning

Tarah has been an event planner for churches and nonprofits for almost 20 years. Creating inviting spaces for moments to be shared and enjoyed is her specialty. She is the director of SERVE ministries, a nonprofit focused on caring for ministry leaders and their families.

Tarah currently serves over 100 churches throughout California. As a new resident of Southern California, she is grateful for the opportunity to serve on the team for the Festival of Trees.

Patrick Tremblay

Patrick Tremblay moved to California 18 years ago, where he has worked as a business owner designing for residential, various corporations, and model home firms. He manages a successful consulting firm and works as a Professor for the Interior Design and Architecture department for a local college. He has been a member of the Interior Design industry since 1992, and was the winner of Harrah’s Eye for Design Millennium event. He was lead designer for the “Step 2 Design Event” supporting domestic violence victims; designed homes for the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation.

Patrick has decorated homes for eight years at the SCV Holiday Home Tour and multiple trees in past for the Festival of Trees

In celebration of the holidays, our heritage and most importantly our family; we present this tree that was made with love. Most materials are handcrafted and come from small indigenous businesses. We are forever proud of roots and we are honored to be able to share them with the community of Santa Clarita.

Holly Diaz

Holly Diaz of Ms. Holly Inspired is a lover of all things creative. Yet, her birth name is no coincidence, as she is PASSIONATE about bringing joy to others through her Christmas tree and holiday decor designs. Her motto is “love is in the details”, and her intention is that her designs are the backdrop for families to celebrate connection and togetherness.

Holly is honored to be a part of Festival of the Trees this year, and present her tree amidst so many other talented designers.
