Meldreth Coronavirus Community Support Once again, we’d like to thank Meldreth residents for contributing to the community effort to help curtail the spread of Covid-19. We continue during this transition time to try and support those adversely affected by the pandemic where possible, bringing friendship and social contact too, knowing that many people have experienced minimal contact for a long time. Free Covid Tests The Government is encouraging everyone to take two rapid flow tests per week. There are many ways of obtaining free Covid tests, including at some local pharmacies. They are also available online and packs of seven tests can be sent to your home address with repeat orders possible every week. Visit www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flowtests. [See page 53 for further information.] Assistance from MCCS If you are clinically extremely vulnerable, shielding or have been instructed to self-isolate by NHS Test & Trace and your usual support is unavailable, please contact Meldreth Coronavirus Community Support using the contact details below and we will do our best to assist. Vaccinations Thank you to people who’ve contacted us with questions about vaccinations; we can help point you in the right direction. Transport to Vaccination Appointments Help is available via the County Council for anyone who is stuck without transport to their vaccination appointment – please ring the Countywide Hub on 0345 045 5219. Royston and District Community Transport is also offering lifts to vaccination appointments. Pharmacy Deliveries If you are unable to travel to a pharmacy, medication can be delivered directly to you by a number of methods.
