December 2021

Seasons Greetings! We have well and truly stepped into Christmas at The Meath and it is lovely to see the people we support so excited and enjoying Christmas activities. From trips out to the Pantomime and ‘Wisley Glow’ to Christmas themed activities in the Skills Centre and Christmas preparations at home, we are proud to enable the people we support to enjoy a magical time of year. However we are still working in challenging times, and I would like to thank you for your support over the past year. We simply couldn’t do it without you. This year we are extremely grateful to our supporters who have kindly donated to our Christmas Appeal. All funds raised through the appeal will enable us to sustain the broad range of fantastic daily skills based activities at our Skills Centre and social enterprise ‘Changing Perceptions’. Once again, sadly, due to COVID, we found ourselves unable to hold our usual Carol Service at St Clement Danes Church. The event is always a firm favourite in our diaries and a wonderful festive occasion for Meath supporters. The event also brings in vital income for the charity. As part of our Christmas Appeal we have released a 2021 Carol Service film which we hope you will enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

With news of the tremendous local support we have had, to our ‘planting a tree for the Jubilee’, and the release of our new film which showcases daily life at The Meath, we hope that during this busy time, you can find a few moments to enjoy this little festive update. Thank you once again for your support and on behalf of us all at The Meath, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
