Remembering The Meath in your Will is a simple way to safeguard our services for the future

With your help, we can continue to make a difference Mark Dumas, Trustee of The Meath Epilepsy Charity, explains the importance of legacies to the work of the charity.

“Each day, 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy across the UK. Many people’s epilepsy will be so severe that medication alone will not control it, some even requiring 24-hour care in order for them to live safe, happy and fulfilled lives.

The Meath is making a great difference, day-to-day, for the people living with complex epilepsy and associated physical and learning disabilities that are currently supported. It would be wonderful if we could safeguard our services for the generations to come.

You can help us to do this, and it’s a simple process. A gift to The Meath in your Will, once family and friends have been taken into account, will impact dramatically on what can be achieved by the charity, as well as provide a long-lasting personal legacy.”

The Meath is a very special place We are immensely proud to recognise ability and to offer the people in our care such a broad range of services, which, together with our dedicated staff and volunteers, enable them to live as independently as possible and to live fulfilled lives.

Statutory funding does not cover the full cost of the care and support we believe the people we support need and deserve. Without voluntary income, we would not be able to provide our vital Healthcare services, which include Epilepsy Nurse Practitioner clinics, on-site GP clinics, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy. Sadly, life at The Meath would look and feel very different without these vital life-enriching services.

The daily activities on offer in our dedicated Skills Centre quite simply give each and every person we support a sense of purpose, pride and achievement.

Your help in the form of a gift in your Will would help us to ensure that we can continue to deliver the very best services for the people we support in years to come.

How to leave a gift to The Meath in your Will Legacy Gifts are an essential source of revenue to The Meath Epilepsy Charity and have enabled us to transform the lives of the people we support.

You can either leave a residual gift (a percentage of your outstanding Estate) or a pecuniary gift (a set amount). To add to an existing Will, complete a Codicil form and have it signed, in the presence of two independent witnesses who will not benefit from your Will or are a spouse of a beneficiary.
