The concert will feature popular arias and ensembles from operas and musicals and is staged in the award-winning theatre at The Grange, a celebrated neo-classical country house set in a magnificent landscape park. The Meath Epilepsy Charity, based in Godalming, Surrey, is a specialist residential care home for 79 adults (aged 19 +) who have complex epilepsy, severe physical and learning disabilities. We also provide supported living accommodation to a further 9 adults and welcome 30 Day Centre users on site.
Our aim is to enhance the lives of the people we support by ensuring they receive individually tailored support, specialist care and encouragement required to build confidence, acquire new skills and maximise independence in order to lead happy, purposeful and fulfilled lives. We encourage the people we support to become ac1ve and valued members of the wider community.

In the UK, 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy every day and it is a little-known fact that 1 in 100 people have epilepsy. Most people who live with epilepsy can manage their epilepsy with medication and live independently at home. However, the additional severe learning and physical disabilities coupled with complex and challenging healthcare needs of the people we support means living at home is not an option for them.
The people we support are some of the most vulnerable in our society; despite dispensing 428,000 doses of medication each year our residents had over 11,000 seizures last year. We administered over 420 emergency life rescuing medications.
99% of our residents have a Learning Disability from mild to severe, 80% have a physical disability and 100% have an epilepsy diagnosis

This very special Choir is made up of our residents and volunteers; our Choir is fully inclusive and accessible. The Choir members either sing or use Makaton sign language which enables our non-verbal residents to fully par1cipate.
During their performances, audience par1cipa1on is encouraged and we demonstrate the Makaton signs so everyone can join in and sign the songs back to the Choir! Always joyous and very memorable and we are delighted they will be performing at The Grange.
